Procedural Law exam on Friday. I'm so nervous, I can't even prepare properly. I know that getting a bad grade in this isn't so bad because it'll hardly move my average grade, and that the Master is what will basically decide my chances for a PhD spot, but this subject has me absolutely stressed out. There's just been so much work, there are so many different really difficult problems they can give us and it's all so complicated...I just want this to be over with so that I can start getting my life outside studies back on track and feel like a normal human being without procrastinating.

While that explains why he has been asleep every time I left the hostel for classes, it doesn't explain why he studies every evening. Odd. Welp, I wasn't looking forward to getting a hostel room next semester before this anyway :|
I have disagreed with her a lot, but comparing her to republicans and propagandists of dictatorships is really low. - An idiotI think I need to go back to school and just get a degree for a sake of a degree. What is a good general degree that is kind of like the Mario of degrees?
"Eratoeir is a Gangsta."My last ordinary exam before the Master-year is approaching, and Common Fortune Law is shaping up to be a nightmare. A true Final Boss of the fourth year. Thus far I'm clinging to the philosophy of if I can ask one good question in discussion group, things may go well.
Join us in our quest to play all RPG video games! Moving on to disc 2 of Grandia!Hm, just found this thread. I have exams in a few days, and boy I'm getting wasted here instead of studying... hahahhaa!
"In the grim darkness of the future, there is only war."I've spent a long time struggling what to major in, and I believe I've narrowed down to three possibilities. I just have one more semester to go.
Going back to the hostel later tonight after a month-long semester break. Despite that, the college has yet to announce my class' exam results nor the timetable for the new semester.
I have disagreed with her a lot, but comparing her to republicans and propagandists of dictatorships is really low. - An idiotThread necro! Wow, I thought other people would have been posting about final exams for their semester, but apparently not. (Or maybe they're all cramming like me?)
Yesterday I finished with my theater final, and today I'm studying for my Women of Color final. Tomorrow I'll get some more studying done before my Voice final in the afternoon, and then I'll get more studying done after that.
Hopefully I'll have time to do the actual test (it's online), but it's cool if I do it on Sunday because that's when the deadline is anyway.
And then I have a day of breathing room before I work on my powerpoint and tie-in paper for (yet again) my Women of Color class.
I'm thinking my post-exam coma is going to be one or two weeks.
Either that, or I'll be so utterly tired that I get a magical surge of creative energy for my extremely off-schedule writing projects.
...well, yesterday: The last of my finals were done for the semester. No clue how well I did... though it felt like I had my head handed to me.
Next semester: Capstone class at Walsh College. The one class everyone fears, from what I've been told.
"If you have any beefs with Santa, do remember to SETTLE IT IN SMASH!" Quote by EdveedFinals begin tomorrow for me. In order, a subject a day, I got: Discrete Mathematics, Elementary Physics^, Foundations of Programming, and finally Calculus.
If by chance there are others who are/will be going through finals now or later, I wish you the best of luck. For those that already have, hopefully your results will be good.
^I have no idea why this exists in the curriculum for Computer Science and Information Systems, but it does. Hrm.
Don't stop, just proceed, 'cause this is what you need-proceed, just proceed, 'cause this is what you need!Oh hey, this thread is back up. So, Common Fortune Law went really good, and I'm now writing my Master thesis. No more exams, yay! Doing a 60 point Master thesis instead of the ordinary 30 point one, on medieval law in Norway and Ireland. I've got a great advisor and a scholarship for the year. The writing process is hard, but I'm making good progress.
Join us in our quest to play all RPG video games! Moving on to disc 2 of Grandia!I have two days of my class left.
I like to keep my audience riveted.Well...I'm probably just being paranoid, but considering how bad things have gotten before...
I finished my finals last week, and I've probably passed all my main classes with flying colors, but:
- I had an exit exam to take for my major, and I have no idea if I ended up making like everyone else, or completely blew it.
- I have two hours of transfer credit that need to transfer, and while I've followed all the criteria needed thus far, I have no idea how the papers were received at all.
The failure of even one of these prevents my graduation.
Luminous beings are we, not this crude matterUgh my god do I hate tests, especially finals. They worry the hell out of me even if I prepare well and know most of the material (and actually get some sleep).
Doesn't help that my anxiety has affected my test grades before....
Well, all I have to do is work on a 5-ish page paper for Thursday as well as the powerpoint project it's tied to for Thursday.
Extremely frustrated because both those things are technically pretty easy. The essay is double-spaced, so 5-6 pages is more like 2-3 pages of content. And the powerpoint is about four or five slides of content that's a condensed version of the interview I held with someone already, so that's basically the Cliff's Notes version of my paper.
The problem is that since I'm coming off of my final exams from the weekend, MY BRAIN REFUSES TO DO ANYTHING BESIDES HUM STATIC AT ME. Alternately, I work on my creative projects instead of my fucking schoolwork. Luckily I saw this shit coming, so I'm probably going to use the creative stuff as a breather for ten or fifteen minutes when the brain-static starts up again.
So I've got all of Wednesday and then Thursday morning to get things done.
Graaaaaaah.
I will be so glad when this semester's over. Definitely making a note in my teacher's student-input that either we need to leave out one part of this project (it consists of an interview, a paper, and the powerpoint, and I feel like having two parts is more than enough), or we need to move this thing a couple weeks earlier in the semester to allow for the procrastinators to NOT FORGET ABOUT THIS SHIT in the last week of class.

Finished my first semester with a 3.75 GPA, and I can't really complain.
Okay, exam is passed...now it all leans on the transfer credit.
But 2 hours left is small beans, I can now focus my efforts on Master's programs
Luminous beings are we, not this crude matterI finished my class.
I like to keep my audience riveted.Today I watched the preview of the video I shot with my friends, so I got there early and brought my laptop so I could at least attempt to do my schoolwork.
I got three out of my five/six powerpoint slides done in the half-hour of downtime. It's really only a paragraph per slide, but still—BRAIN IS WORKING AGAIN, WHOO!
Also, our video was awesome and it's only 75% finished! Once it goes up on the Internet, it's going to be kickass.
Took a look at my three classes, and learned I've passed them all. Now all I truly have to worry about, is the dreaded capstone course at Walsh College. That might very well pry me away from TV Tropes for a long time.
"If you have any beefs with Santa, do remember to SETTLE IT IN SMASH!" Quote by EdveedI was 75% done with both my paper and my powerpoint, so I decided to go to bed at midnight and and wake up at six before finishing the last 25%, since my class is at 10AM.
DONE WITH EVERYTHING AT 7:33. WITNESS ME, BITCHES.

...and unfortunately, I've learned that the capstone indeed is to be feared and dreaded. Essentially: I got to read several chapters from several things a week, devise a few posts, combat a weekly test (which is cumulative, despite focusing on the week's learnings), a group project online with a case study including an individual portion, and a journal to how I can apply myself with some of the learnings!
This is going to be a rough semester for me...
