well ok, its a little hard to tell the difference because the only easy way to tell asari apart are their skin tones, and their facial markings (which the lighting makes very hard in me3)

but aethyta's skin is a lot darker than it is in the 2nd game, and her nose is no longer curved out and down, and instead is pretty much straight out. (does not know how to describe noses)

also im pretty sure she's wearing different lipstick (videogame characters dont DO that!)

Okay, I finally wrote my article on the ending.

Enjoy, discuss, debate, whatever.

I think the conversation before hand was something to the effect of, "You couldn't hit the broad side of a barn. I'll take care of this. Hold my shield for me."

Debatable on soldiers being better than adepts in ME 3. Too many ways to make biotic explosions and to get negligible cooldown. Warp + double toss with cooldown reset especially does some pretty insane DPS with some added AOE because killing a single brute with one blast isn't good enough.

It's interesting how this is all playing out, on one hand there are people unsatisfied with the ending since their choices, a noted gameplay mechanic, didn't really amount to much. On the other hand there are people defending the end stating that it's the author's right to end the story the way they want whether you like it or not. The story plays out the way the creator wants, not the player.

If something was broken with the mechanics no doubt bioware would get to work on patching the problems. But the ending? That's a matter of opinion. At least it would be if the game wasn't built around the concept of player choice. If their choices didn't really matter and failed to provide the necessary illusion to suspend disbeleif then it failed and it should be fixed.

But to fix it you have to change the story, but you aren't supposed to change the story, but if you don't change the story then it's a broken mechanic. So...yeah.

I think the best bioware can do is "expand" the story so that a lot of the plotholes are fixes and perhaps try to make the reaper thing's persuasion more effective than just contradicted in-story circular logic. But you need good writing for that and we wouldn't be here if they had that.
