I'd like the ability to customize your outfit, or failing that, to have several different outfits for different places, sort of like how you had that Zora tunic in Twilight Princess for underwater adventuring. Maybe there could be a fur-lined tunic for use in a snowy mountainous region or something better suited for exploring the desert.
would actually be a very cool feature.
i feel they were more or less heading in that direction with the equipment upgrade system in Skyward Sword. Unfortunately I feel that fell short of its potential because there was little reason to upgrade your gear more than once because you ran into a better base item to build off fairly shortly afterwards.
So the Majora's Mask pack is out in Europe now, huh?
Besides Tingle and Young Link, what sorts of stuff does it add?
You cannot firmly grasp the true form of Squidward's technique!I dunno how the Majora's Mask Adventure Map works, but it has mask costumes for most of the cast- Cia gets Majora's Mask, Impa gets the Mask of Truth, Midna gets the Ordon Shield, etc. The free patch it comes with also adds in an extra weapon skill of some sort and boosts the level cap to 200, and also allows for a few quality-of-life benefits, like skill erasing in the Smithy and a restart button and total damage taken counters in the pause menu.
... I'm in the US, too, by the way, so this could just all be hear-say.

I sure said that!Hmm, it seems like the raised level cap will also make it easier to batter down levels in the first adventure map, if they're being stubborn.
Very interesting. I knew that dungeon had an Eastern feel, but I didn't imagine it would have so much in common with the Ancient Cistern. Next time I play Skyward Sword, I'm going to view the dungeon's visuals more carefully.
135 - 169 - 273 - 191 - 188 - 230 - 300The Fire Sanctuary strikes me as kinda Thai in its style, too.
Then again, I'm not great at recognizing these things.
I sure said that!I noticed the very buddhist design overtones in the Ancient Cistern, but not in the Earth Temple.
This theming is what makes Ancient Cistern one of the best dungeons in the series, by the way. the fact that it was based on an old buddhist short story is so awesome and makes me wish games did that more often. probably helps that Koloktos is probably the best boss in SS barring Ghirahim and Demise.
Though a little magic is lost when you're constantly jumping off the thread out of the netherworld to farm Evil Crystals from the Cursed Bokoblins.
... Why does the Big Bug Net require an Evil Crystal, anyway?
I sure said that!I imagine the bugs think Link is pretty evil.
i never farmed for upgrade materials. never really needed to. not like skyward sword is so hard you need to upgrade all your equipment.
But but 100% completion!
Skyward Sword is one of the few games where I actually managed to do that myself.
I feel proud.
One Strip! One Strip!I think a lot of that has to do with the fact that the shop basically hands you two Heart Containers with the Heart Medals, and there's no worrying about not having enough money because you'll have enough of it—maybe even too much of it—by the end of the game. Thus, there are less Heart Pieces you need to worry about.
A Link Between Worlds was pretty easy to complete, too.
Call me Willy Whistle 'cause I can't speak, baby. Something in TV Tropes really drove me crazy.i find the best way to encourage you to use a game's systems is to make the game difficult enough that you need to abuse them to win (bravely default).
not that i think zelda should be super hard, mind you, but a reason to actually upgrade things and spend all those rupees would be nice.
But wouldn't people complain about being forced to hunt down all those things? Not everybody likes to grind (I do, but that's just me).
If everyone were normal, the world would be a dull place. Like reality television. The only games I felt were truly difficult were the NES games and, to an extent, Majora's Mask.
In the case of Skyward Sword, after you conquer the first three dungeons and defeat that douchy Imprisoned for the first time, the game is more forgiving. I still upgrade all of the items I have because the feel of completionism is in my veins. I actually got disappointed that the Whip and Clawshots couldn't be upgraded.
135 - 169 - 273 - 191 - 188 - 230 - 300i wasn't talking about the upgrade system from SS necessarily, but more as a general rule. though the one game i did have in mind when i said that was Bravely Default, which does involve a lot of grinding.
Isn't Yamask the ghost of a person?
I don't know, just something to think about.

"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."I mean, why let us discover this on our own when you can scream it out to the whole world?
Well that's... something.
"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."My bad. I like screaming new news out. That's the issue with social media nowadays. Someone would've posted it somewhere. Will spoiler tag it and put the video in a link anyways.
"We're all paper, we're all scissors, we're all fightin' with our mirrors, scared we'll never find somebody to love."
Which is why they need to do away with them and focus more on singular, but more complex puzzles.
