The Legend Of Zelda - General Thread

I'd like to see a modern game set in the monster-haunted wilderness that Hyrule apparently becomes by the time of the original LOZ.

Starring Zelda, yes. I'll take those infinity points.

HW Zelda, duh. The best Zelda. The Zelda who doesn't need some stupid hero to save her kingdom since she can do it herself, thank you very much.

She does have to dress up as a ninja at one point, though.

Also, this is probably the first time we've seen Ganondorf beat Link and Zelda at the same time, so don't go throwing her too many positives.

In fact, he beats Impa, Impa, Impa, Impa, Impa, Impa, Lana, Lana, Lana, Link, Impa, Zelda, Link and Zelda again...

And that was with no Triforce pieces for the first half, and just the Triforce of Power for the second. How did the heroes beat him at full power again?

But technically the heroes never really quite 'lost' they just were forced to retreat a couple of times, Ganon was utterly defeated... again.

That story could stand to be stronger in any sequels. And that costume design.

Oh, wait, I get it.

In the Hyrule field battle, Ganondorf also had Zant and Ghirahim, two powerful (almost) final bosses in their own rights. The first thing you do when you get control of the heroes is to take down his allies WITHOUT engaging Ganondorf himself, and then take him on. If he hadn't split his forces, he'd have no plausible explanation for losing.

I don't care for Zelda's Hyrule Warriors costume, the Showgirl Skirt really puts me off.

Yeah. I'm hoping she gets some proper armor for the next game. Depending on how agile they want her to be, I could even see her in plate, with a tabard that evokes her dress.

It isn't quite a Showgirl Skirt considering how much she is wearing between and underneath it. It has just enough to show she is a princess and enough freedom of movement to kick ass.

The idea is the same anyway. I'd prefer if she just went with a dress the same length as her Skyward Sword costume but with armored elements.

Twilight Princess Ganondorf but with a mane works really damn well, though.

Already the best part of the day today.

The MK 8 Zelda track is awesome. Rupees instead of coins.

Link gets the spinner with his amiibo in HW.

So the Spinner is basically $13 DLC, huh? That's rather disappointing.

At least the Amiibo applies to multiple games.

Still...

I suppose I'll get a Link Amiibo, though.

I've wanted Najora's Mask since I finished off Ocarina. THIS'LL BE GOOD.

I love Iwata's English...

I already got Majora's Mask on N64, so I don't need it. But it's nice that people can get it on a new system.
