There was a Viewtiful Joe 2, in case you don't know. There's also a disliked spinoff and the DS Game I know nothing about.
DumboI do realize that yes. I should've worded my sentences.
And I honestly didn't think Double Trouble was that bad, it was kind of a meh, but the music honestly surprised at some of the tunes. The controls were really effy though, you need like 3 hands to play it properly.
Red Hot Rumble, I've only played for a few minutes, but I thought it was decent.

It's more frustrating waiting for the asskicking than the asskicking itself.I AM, JOE! VIEWTIFUL JOE!
Awesome.

Watch SymphogearOkay, favorite Boss from the two first games anybody? Either by fight or personality, it doesn't matter.
1st: Hulk Davidson, sure his boss fight was easy as crap once you figured out his pattern, but damn, do I love the overall quirkiness of ol' Hulk Davidson. That and I love his voice work as well.
"DAVIDSON IS IN THE HOUSE! HULK DAVIDSON IS BORN TO BE WIIILD!"
2nd: Big John. The rather determined Drill Sergeant of the group. Like the Jokers from the 1st game, he keeps on coming back to fight Joe in practically every stage. Oh, and he's a gigantic fire breathing T-Rex drill sergeant who later becomes a tank.

It's more frustrating waiting for the asskicking than the asskicking itself.Yes! So glad to see this thread here. Viewtiful Joe is probably my favorite sidescroller of all time (sorry, Mario).
Favorite boss, though... I'd have to go with the Super Sentai battle at the end of the first game. Trotting around the world in a matter of steps is just TOO AWESOME for words.
HENSHIN A GO GO BABY!
I've only played the second one, but I *really* enjoyed it. I was sadface when I learned that the third Joe game will not be coming out anytime soon.
Still need More Dakka, and it's about time to start a real WAAAAAGH.I really hope a third VJ game is made; it's very different from most other beat-em-ups, both at the time and to date.
Lampshade Hanging: It's a lifestyle. That would be great, but it unfortunately comes to down to whether or not Platinum can wrestle the rights to the series away from Capcom... which seems a bit slim. And if they can't, I bet the only time we'll see Joe in the future is during another Vs. title.
Yeah, that's a problem. However, Platinum's definitely holding its own as a developer, so if they end up shooting up to EA/Activision-level prominence in the gaming world, they might just have a shot at getting the rights from Capcom.

Lampshade Hanging: It's a lifestyle.Yeah, VJ is my fourth favorite action game, behind Ninja Gaiden Black Bayonetta and Devil May Cry 3. Although, I o wonder if Capcom even cares about VJ at this point, as all they do with that franchise is give it appearances in fighting games.
If that is the case, I'm sure they wouldn't mind if Platinum Games got a shot at it. And who knows, maybe they can simply publish it while PG develops it, like Konami with Meal Gear Rising.
I doubt that will happen. Didn't Platinum form because they got canned as Clover Studios?
Lampshade Hanging: It's a lifestyle.Pretty much. It's like Kamiya wanting to work on a new DMC. Heck, that's essentially the reason we have Bayonetta.
If we had a new Viewtiful Joe before clover was canned, it probably would of gotten to mechs throwing galaxies like shuriken even before Gurren Lagann.
Besides, Project P-100 looks like a good sucessor to Viewtiful Joe, to me.
Watch SymphogearSix Majin did tend to escalate, didn't it?
I have a message from another time...I think the biggest it got was in Double Trouble where it became the size of the solar system.
Easily one of the largest capcom characters made.
Only Chakravartin and Pyron are bigger.
Watch SymphogearThat was for the fight with Hinderella, right? It's been some time, so all I remember is the fight with Rex Majin.
I have a message from another time...yeah, it was against Hinderella.
Watch Symphogearoh goodness
I loved Viewtiful Joe. If a third one were to come out, I would probably spontaneously combust.*

Because I want to know if other people enjoy this series other than me.
The whole feel of the game is like a mixture between Toku and movie lore. I do enjoy the whole ensemble of quirky characters within the games and I feel that the voice actors got them spot-on.
The challenge that these games can give you can be very satisfying, like beating that damn Helicopter with your bare hands. I still remember dying against Fire Leo at least 13 times. On Kids Mode. I was not a very good player back then.
And of course, I want a friggin sequel. I feel so abandoned. ;_;
