Because Kinkajou told me to.
So yeah, anything about Final Fantasy! I guess this would make a good starting point: Which are your favorite games in the series and why?
My two all-time favorites are tied between Final Fantasy V and Final Fantasy IX. They're both very fun games that don't take themselves too seriously while still being legitimately emotional. On top of that, Zidane is my favorite Final Fantasy lead in the entire series. He's light-hearted, fun, and a generally nice guy to be around. FFV also has the advantage of having one of, if not the best, Job System in an FF game. Both FFV and FFIX make characters customizable while keeping them all unique in their own way. I'm also very fond of Final Fantasy I; it hasn't aged well, but it's classic, and like FFV, I played it tons as a kid.
I assume we'll drift around to various other FF-related discussions as the topic grows, right?

Then This Very Wiki has failed us all.
FAILED!
One Strip! One Strip!Advent Children is the most expensive video game cutscene ever produced
I can see why people didn't like Mena Suvari as Aerith, she sounds pretty damn... well, :l
The fights are easily the coolest thing in Advent Children. I particularly like the bit when the rest of the team are boosting Cloud up to Bahamut.
I never disliked her Aerith, I think she sounds...uh...different. But the voice only fits Messiah Aerith, it would never do for FFVII Aerith.

Factoring in limitations of the time, I feel like Bartz and Terra were pretty good, too.
I sure said that!Squall, Bartz, Ramza, Yuna, Ashe, Noctis is slowly growing on me since he is almost a classic tragic hero
I will always have a soft spot for Cecil though above the rest
wait can I choose Zeid?
if so I pick Zeid

To elaborate on my earlier post agreeing with Nikkolas:
Cloud is a well-rounded character but what really makes him to me is the identity twist. I've spoken about this before, but usually when a character has some sort of memory problem or identity twist, it's usually that they're someone important, often a villain or some tool to be used by the Big Bad. But with Cloud the twist was the opposite, that he was never the super badass he told everyone he was, it was entirely a projection of everything he felt lacking about himself. That sort of subversion of expectations and risk on making a character more pathetic or weak to introduce complexity and humanity IMO is the kind of thing that can really elevate a story. I can't think of any other FF protagonist who has something quite on that level, certainly nobody before Cloud anyways.
Ashe's dilemma and character arc are actually pretty unique and interesting as well. A ruler struggling with whether they'll use WMD's or not is a really unusual thing for a JRPG protagonist to consider and a very weighty moral question. Given that it's a Matsuno game, she's a bit more underplayed and has better-written dialogue, those kind of things are extremely important when it comes to storytelling in pretty much anything.
Mobius is having Cross promotion event with Terra Battle
Mist Walker's card game
The Cards given out are pretty good and can be maxed out rather easily
Reminds me of the Dubstep Gun from Saints Row IV.

I find the way SE has treated XV as very amusing and it shows that they have passion for it, at the very least.
Watch SymphogearThey damn well better bring it over.
Crystal Bearers did end on a cliffhanger...
The current character popularity in Dissidia Arcade is actually pretty surprising!◊

Bartz cracked the top five? Nice.
I sure said that!Yeah he got a new character design too.
And from what I can tell, the top five are all high tier characters as well as popular sans Vaan who's just very top tier.
Yeah, actually I think you're right on the money with this one.
