Anyone else excited for this one? Any news on which groups will be subbing it? (and wow the ED is Fanservice [1]◊ [2]◊ [3]◊ [4]◊ [5]◊ [6]◊)

Not really excited, Divine Wars and OVA kinda killed most hope I had that this adaptation would be particularly successful.

I'll probably watch it if I can find a sub-group, but I'm not holding my breath. I also get the feeling that Ibis's stroy would get almost completely cut out, just to make space for everything else that's going on. Which would be sad.

EDIT: Looks at ED fanservice.

Where the hell is my Ibis!?!?!? Shouldn't fanservice for this consist more of showing detailed shots of the Alteisen or something?

The OP gets a good amount of mech Fanservice from the looks of it [1]◊

Considering how poor the animation quality is in the OP and ED, I expect that the actual show should be terrifying in it's hideousness.

No need for sub groups with this one, it goes up on Crunchyroll on the 10th.

Everyone I've heard from who actually watched the first episode liked it.

And by the way, neither Divine Wars nor the OVA ruined anything, the OVA was just kind of mediocre.

The animation looks nice almost Gundam 00 quality.

Kind of varies. Mostly not really animated at all, a few nice bits, and a decent amount of Off-Model. Helps that they used an art syle designed for still shots.

I wasn't sure what to expect but it turned out to be really enjoyable. I'll be following this and Star Driver.

Watched the raw, it was suprisingly not crappy. Definately exceeded my expectations. Through I really hope they don't truly end up cutting Ibis out totally.

I mean, she won RPG Saimoe back in 2006.

I might check this out. But I have one question: Who the hell designs a Humongous Mecha with huge boobs?◊

Well Rare as Female giant mechs maybe I think almost all of them are like that (Ardjet[1]◊ is the only exception I can think of at the moment)

^^ They kind just took the original artwork and ran with it, without looking back.

You folks realize this show is streaming on Crunchyroll, right? Could be why most sub groups are staying away from this one.

As for the show itself...eh, seems pretty cool. Tempted to see the next ep. to hear the explanation about the big-boobed battle robot angel thing.

Subgroups are staying away from this one? Not really.

Also, I hope the fanservice laden ending sequence is not just cruelly raising the hopes for the fans of a certain Cool Big Sis.

First episode, a womans boobs Gainax so hard they blow all the buttons off of her blouse.

Eh. All I'll say so far is that I was not expecting the Thrud to show up this early.

I like how Axel was on top of the situation vs. Beowulf, and didn't take as much damage from fighting an Einst boss unit one-on-one as the Drama CDs would have us believe.

It's like this show was custom-tailored to especially appeal to me personally.

I found Princess Shine very hot during the Ending Fanservice Sequence. Am I going to hell when I die?
