Silently Honest: I'm sending you a friend request through the keep. I have a different name on there than I do here (it's breakthehold).

Also, I really love the Keep art, it's so gorgeous.

Thanks all, I just found out how many worlds you can save thanks to you. I may actually delete my other more superflous worlds to add yours.

Okay, so I have my ideal world state. Now to make the "everything is terrible and there's no hope left for the world because I fucked everything in Origins and DA 2 up" worldstate.

Just a question, does that mean that Morrigan had the God baby, or not? Because I can see how that could be terrible and good.

How can you fuck things up anymore in DA 2? I mean I guess you could get your whole family killed and have a ton of your companions bail or die. But ultimately the end is still "everything is so fucked".

Personally my "ruined everything" world has no god baby, but that's just so I could give Fereldan a shithead Warden as king and also make Alistair die.

I have yet to play as a completely power-hungry Warden who makes all the morally terrible choices (kill the Dalish, let Harrowmont be king, murder the Circle) and lets Alistair gets executed and who lets Loghain die killing the Archdemon and the Warden marrying Anora.

Ah, I should really got on that one of these days, I suppose.

^^Eh, on tapestry there is dark glow around old god baby while human baby has glowing aura so I guess old god maybe might not even be a good thing :P Especially if you stab her mother and leave him fatherless and probably resenting his evil father

[up][up]I'd hardly call putting Harrowmont on the throne morally terrible. The guy was good man, much better than Behlen, the only problem is he makes a terrible king.

Yeah. The Dwarven King is definitely a gray area.

Indeed. Nice guy that will make an awful king, or scumbag that's probably one of the best leaders Orzammar has had in a while?

I think it's implied Morrigan survives the stabbing if you do it. Considering she's set to be a big role in Inquisition. I assume stabbing her just makes her more crazy than she normally is.

Harrowmont isn't exactly a clear cut nice guy either. He's nice to you, but you're of similar social standing. He's not so nice with the casteless.

[up] And even if you're not of similar social standing, you're still a Grey Warden, who definitely enjoy a lot of respect throughout Orzammar.

Harrowmont also has the benefit of never really having his word checked. We sort of assume he's never lying his guts out during the origin and the later part of the game, but how much do we know? We know Bhelen lies coz we've been entangled in it, but really, for all the proof we have, Harrowmont is just as dishonest and manipulative. In particular the "Your father made me swear on his deathbed to never led Bhelen succeed him." statement, which of course no one can back up.

^^^ Grey Wardens do have a certain level of status. Enough to be well treated in most places even if they officially don't have much power as individuals.

^^ He almost certainly lies and cheats others, he's just not as bad as Bhelen in that respect. He couldn't be an influential noble if he was always honorable and fair because he'd be setting himself up as a target.

^ He's apparently a huge jerk to casteless Wardens. Doesn't even want to meet with you the same way Bhelen doesn't want to meet the dwarf noble.

When you think about it, Bhelen's sort of a tragic figure.

He's a progressive who sees that Orzammar loses territory against the Darkspawn year after year. Sure, it's not like the first blight, but Orzammar's power is shrinking, not expanding. Thaigs are being lost, not reclaimed. And despite this, the people in power refuse to make the necessary changes, writing off a huge percentage of their population (The castless) rather than using them to make Orzammar strong again, and refusing contact with the outside that might also strengthen them. His dad's a traditionalist, his oldest brother is a self-centered fop who barely knows anything not revolving around himself, and his 2nd brother is "the good son" who by all appearance will likely keep the status quo. So from his point of view, it sort of makes sense they all need to go if Orzammar is to stand a chance.

Yes, that would destroy Orzammar within three weeks. Nobody else would have to worry about the problem again. Very thoughtful of you.

^ Bhelen is not exactly a saint only looking out for the common man. His first concern is his own personal power. He does intend to use it well, but he's still pretty selfish and evil.

But it's entirely possible for you to play the Dwarf Noble as someone who won't by all appearances keep the status quo.

Maybe Bhelen wants what's best for Orzammar underneath it all. But I think he really just wants the power, mainly.

Yet NP Cs reactions to you is still that youre the "Good Son" - the one people wishes would become king. And really, how much does your character do to defy tradition before you're kicked out?

I'm not saying Bhelen's doesn't care about himself, obviously he does, but his motives are amazingly logical beneath all this. Especially when compared to Loghain who is almost running on paranoia and delusions ("Blight? Pfff. Orlais' all my revenge boner cares about!").

But I don't think Bhelen "just" wants the power. Coz if he did, he wouldn't flaunt tradition as much as he does when he needs the approval of the Assembly (Such as by keeping a casteless lover, which generates a share of rumors). I see him more as one who for whom the end justifies the mean.
