So I just realized a straight girl has 4 different people she can romance, but a straight guy only has 2. How did that end up happening?
FPS usually doesn't matter to me in RP Gs so I'm fine with it being locked.
Straight female Dwarves and gay male Dwarves would've been stuck with one whole option if they didn't fix the Bull stuff.
It was a difficult delivery, now it's growing up mean and strong.Encouraging doods to experiment?
I guess so. I mean as a not so straight female I would have so many playthroughs if I felt like doing one for each romance. Considering Cullen's and Solas' are supposed to be limited I don't think so XD.
No dwarf love. :(
Speaking of dwarf love I'm having the hardest time deciding between dwarf or elf for my first play through. I decided I want a super girly qunari just for the fun of a qunari loving all things girly.
The "limited scope" comment for Cullen and Solas was later explained to be in reference to the racegating. They should be just the same as any other romance, just not as many people can experience them.
It was a difficult delivery, now it's growing up mean and strong.Oh, misunderstanding on my part. Well I guess the balance is that while girls have more L Is, they are race gated while Cassandra and Josephine aren't.
So what do you guys think of a badass archer Qunari with a strong purple or pink theme?
I believe they've said that Cullen and Solas are so restricted because they were added as romances later in development.
"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."So they could only give them a specific set of romances due to time constraints?
That is the face of a man who just ate a kitten. Raw.Oh, that's boring. I thought it was a deliberate personality thing.
Why can't it be both?
I'm a critical person but I'm a nice guy when you get to know me. Now, I should be writing.Yeah I gotta agree, I like to think Cullen just is mostly attracted to his own race and Solas isn't racist or anything, but being raised Dalish probably gives you a really stick with your own mentality.
Hell I wonder if elves ever do start get some rights and begin to mix with humans if elves who marry or fall in love with humans will be considered "less elf" and having "abandoned their culture".
It can, but knowing that it probably wouldn't have happened if they'd had the time diminishes the effect somewhat. Having those restrictions makes it feel more... organic somehow, like real people with real hangups. It was nice to think that that was the design intent from the start. Irrational, I suppose.
I could see it. Hell, I could see it becoming an outright stigma/taboo, since Elf/Human pairings result in Human children exclusively.

So the stream showed more Vivienne. I'm really liking her so far. Definitely my favorite of the three mages at the moment.

Favorite of the three what? Mages?
I don't think that having Cullen and Solas MORE restricted makes them more organic. Does it mean Leliana and Zevran and Anders are LESS organic because they're avaliable to any player?
I feel that both are equally valid.
And I'm rather tired of the whole 'Cullen and Solas are racist thing' I've been seeing recently in places. If I'm gay and date exclusively men, does that make me sexist? Not at all. So I see no reason to call either of them racist, especially until we know why they might not date a Dwarf or Quinari female.
I'm a critical person but I'm a nice guy when you get to know me. Now, I should be writing. That's a far more complex issue than that. Having sexual desire towards a race/excluding a race =/= having sexual desire towards a gender.

Yeah. I have... conflicted feelings about people who refuse to date specific races.
"It's so hard to be humble, knowing how great I am."Or a short version: when the media or society consistently depict the male gender to be asexual or sexually undesirable like Asian men (small penis jokes anyone?), then you can compare sexual desire towards a gender with sexual desire towards a race.

Ok, bad analogy...
I'm a critical person but I'm a nice guy when you get to know me. Now, I should be writing. Are humans, humans, and elves different races (taxonomically) like German shepherds and Weimaraners, or different species like lions and tigers? Nothing directly to do with romance plots, just curious.
Regarding elves and humans, I recall Feynriel's Dalish mother being a temporary pariah because she dallied with a human merchant. Zevran's Dalish mother died in prostitution instead of returning to her people. Also, an elf Warden can give Leliana some cognitive dissonance when she gushes about attractive skilled elves being valued in Orlais, if the Warden points out she's talking about elves like they're prized animals.

I'm not exactly up to par on the vocabulary, but I'd say Elves and Humans are difference races since they can actually reproduce together, while Dwarves and Quinari are of a difference species since, as far as I'm aware, they cannot reproduce.
I'm a critical person but I'm a nice guy when you get to know me. Now, I should be writing.Closely-related species can reproduce, but the offspring aren't always fertile. Like, horse x donkeys have mules or hinnies, and it's only the female mule that's (very very rarely) fertile. But tigers x lions produce plenty of fertile offspring.
Lol, a f!dwarf Inquisitor must now ride the Bull FOR SCIENCE!
*cough* Just to clarify, only the female ligers are fertile, according to Haldane's Law. Male ligers are utterly huge and completely sterile. Yes, I used the other wiki.
- AHEM*
Continue.
It's your God, they're your rules, you go to hell." - Mark TwainYup! Haha, I didn't want to create a lecture on hybrids. Just pointing out that most all ligresses are fertile, while female mules almost never are. Dood ligers are indeed ridiculously huge. That a Nemean frackin lion◊? Haha, maybe Feynriel got hybrid vigor and Slim Couldrey didn't.
He's not listed as elf-blooded on the Wiki, but I swear Danarius◊ had slightly elfish ears.
Placed my preorder last night! I want the Princess Mononoke hart thing so I sprang for the deluxe edition.

I'm probably gonna lock it at 30 anyway so I can try running it on Max.
It was a difficult delivery, now it's growing up mean and strong.
