Can't speak for consensus, but I would generally treat them the same way titles of Greatest Hits Albums are treated (I've always seen them get italicized). The Other Wiki has only a handful of one-shot manga as well, but it italicizes things like Fire Tripper.
That's kind of my point

Silver and gold, silver and gold^Greatest hits albums are still albums. They're supposed to get italics.
As I said in the original thread, I'm not aware of any hard-and-fast rule of English grammar to follow here. Essentially my thinking was that a one-shot is essentially the comic equivalent of a Short Story, and short stories are supposed to get double-quotes, so one-shots probably should, too. But an anthology of one-shots, or a magazine they're printed in, would get italics.

A while ago this topic came up in a TLP draft of mine: Wherever the titles of manga one-shots note should be italicized (like manga titles do) or if they should be formatted with double-quotes (like with short stories and poems do).
Since people in TLP weren't sure either about what's the correct way to format them, I wanted to ask here about it.
I tried looking but I can't find anywhere on the wiki anything about the rules for formatting one-shot titles. Administrivia.Text Formatting Rules doesn't mention anything about how to format work titles in general. In fact, the only way I found out about the convention of formatting short stories and poems with double-quotes was by looking at the Short Story and Poetry indexes.
To make things more confusing, One-Shot Fic italicizes the titles and comic one-shots like Superman #1 seem to often get italicized as well.
Basically I wanted to ask what the current consensus is when it comes to formatting (manga) one-shot titles; what should be done about it if there isn't a current consensus about it; and wherever it could be possible to write the wiki's work title formatting rules somewhere since Administrivia.Text Formatting Rules doesn't seem to include them.
