Conrad Stargard is not banned tho? I don't see it on The Content Policy page, at least.
I'm lovin' it. (My Troper Wall)It's listed under The Cross Time Engineer.
Does anyone know why it was banned?

According to the discussion page, it's a "pedo-fantasy."
I'm lovin' it. (My Troper Wall)It's about an engineer going back to the Middle Ages and thoroughly taking advantage of the fact that age of consent laws don't exist, especially when he's a knight and the girl is a peasant.
Oh, yuck. Yeah, screw that.
In that case I'm inclined to cut this creator page, too.
Agreed - the entire list of examples is from CS, which means that we'd have to give an effective Example Sectionectomy and frankly that's not worth the effort.
How old is she? How explicit is this aspect, are there any sex scenes? Does it happen in only one of the books in the Conrad series?
Going from a review here:
So, the multiple women he gets (he's not into getting married) are 14 and described as schoolgirls. As for explicit sex scenes, I don't know if it gets there but this post is an excerpt of the leadup (NSFW alert) and it pretty clearly crosses the tipping point for me, especially as it is not an isolated incident.
Yeah, I also think the hero being concerned about fucking 14 year olds and then absolving himself in a way narratively framed as justified makes the ban warranted
Absolute destiny... apeachalypse?Leaning towards Cut
I'm lovin' it. (My Troper Wall)Reply to Ramidel: Dear god, the degree this Western book plays crappy isekai light novel tropes straight, up to and including loli slave harem, is chilling.

Yeah. Predates the isekai boom (and the internet publishing system that enables it) too.
So yeah, tempted to just light this page on fire. Any objections?
I'd suggest we keep the author page and the work list, but ban Conrad Stargard examples with a warning, and wipe the current examples list. As in the "keeping clean stuff only" treatment.
EDIT: Oh god, throw the author page in a bonfire, and maybe consider doing something about the New Kashubia Series too; according to a review, that series contains multiple instances of mechanophilia.
Edited by seasaltcaramelcookie on Apr 13th 2024 at 5:27:41 AM
well, assuming that's sexual attraction to cars, we don't have a rule against that. Weird, but not actually harmful
cut the one with the 14 yr olds tho
Edited by Tremmor19 on Apr 13th 2024 at 8:30:15 AM
Yeah, mechanophilia isn't against our rules unless it's purely pornographic
I think we should stop using the author page to run-around Cross Time Engineer or w/e being unacceptable though
Absolute destiny... apeachalypse?Cut the novels with the 14 yos.

Okay, so it looks like our proposals are:
- Cut the entire page.
- Remove just the Cross-Time Engineer examples. Note that if we did so, we'd have only one example left on the Creator page.
I think if we'd have one example left it's best to cut the whole page
Absolute destiny... apeachalypse? That was kinda my feeling too.
Agreed as well.
MB Pending | MB Drafts | MB DatesYeah, and I've got no inclination to bother saving this Creator page given it's mostly being used as an end-run around a previous cut.
Almost entirely consists of examples for the banned Conrad Stargard series. I propose to either make the Conrad Stargard (The Cross-Time Engineer) link a redirect to the author, or cut the author page.
