It's not just J, they've been doing it with a lot of images on that page. I sent them a message saying they need to open a thread before unilaterally making changes, but they either haven't read it yet, or ignored it. Some changes appear to be quality updates, and do appear better than the originals, but even then they still didn't follow the proper procedure.

Ah, I was planning to report the rest of the unilateral swaps, but I was busy with other things at the moment (for the record, I started this thread when Emperor AI had only swapped J's pic, but I did see the other swaps happen not much later).
To add further on the matter, Emperor AI had also added alternate appearance pics for Uzi, N, V and J (already amounting to those pics of N and V in their combat forms). I'm not really sure about the rest of these new pics, but I think the ones of Uzi, N and V's prom outfits should go, since they only wear those for a part of "The Promening" and aren't really recurring (unlike Uzi's Solver wings and tail, and N, V and J's original Worker/Zombie Drone designs).

For N: (For Normal form) Revert to original for now. Current shows one of the 5 lights on his head being red instead of yellow but said light change is temporary and does not stay throughout the show.
For V: (For Normal form) Current is a bit clearer, so it gets to stay. Same for the Combat form.
For Thad: Revert to original as current doesn't reflect his personality.
For Doll: Revert as her eyepatch doesn't appear until later on.
For Nori: Keep current as it would otherwise be weird to have the image without the background.
For Khan (which you haven't mentioned): Keep current.
Remove all prom outfits as they are only relevant in "The Promening".
For N, V, and J's original Worker Drone designs: Keep as they are relevant in more than one episode.
