If you just want to cut a page, you can submit it to the Cut List here. You don't need to post in this thread for that.
As mentioned on the Cut List page itself, cutting is generally seen as a last resort. If it's a Work page for a valid work, we may ask if there have been other attempts to save it. If it's a subpage, we may want to confirm that examples are being moved, not lost entirely.
Cut requests that don't have a reason will be declined.
Posts here may cover the following topics:
- Mod or engineer posts confirming that a cut has been declined.
- Challenges to save something that's already on the Cut List but hasn't been cut yet.
- Queries about recovering or restoring a page that's already been cut.
- Queries about next steps for pages where a cut request was declined (e.g. due to very high inbounds).
- General Cut List policy questions.
You can see a list of recently cut articles here.

Please decline the cut on Luckily, My Shield Will Protect Me that cited People Sit on Chairs as a reason.
The Luckily, My Shield Will Protect Me cut request has been declined.
~TMH-Sir-Iron-Vomit, I think this has already been discussed elsewhere?
^^^^ I mean, I guess there isn't a specified length for them, but given that they're subpages, I figure they have to be long enough to split from their respective main indexes just like any other page type. (Otherwise what's the purpose of the main indexes?)
And that wasn't an issue with the others I've merged and requested cut. Like I said, I've already done this exact thing with around 30 others of this length and around 50 that were shorter. I haven't had any be declined like this up to the last set of 20 and there was no reason given, so I don't understand what the problem is.
Edited to add: Also one of them I requested be cut was not for length (although it was short), but because it was redundant with its parent franchise's Fanworks page. That one was also declined, so the reason couldn't have been a lack of length requirement.

Please decline the request to cut Laconic.Joseph Goebbels.
The request reason says "Laconic for a Useful Notes page", but Laconic Wiki clearly states that Useful Notes pages can have laconics.
Please restore WesternAnimation.Numberblocks, I saw it a few days ago and it wasn't actually a stub.

How long was a "few days"? A lot can change in that time, if the page needed cleanup.
Current Project: Incorruptible Pure PurenessI'm seeing over 50 examples on the last version pre-cut. Some may be ZCEs, but clearly not a stub.
Strange that it passed the process, then.
Current Project: Incorruptible Pure PurenessYeah. I don't think it's one I dealt with - I'll ask the team.
At this point I see no reason not to restore, though.
Apparently, the troper who cut it did so accidentally, they meant to cut the characters subpage (which was a stub).
Restored now - looks like restoration did a few weird things to formatting, but hopefully all fixed.
The cut request for A Family Full Of Freaks has been declined. If this breaks the content policy we should handle it via CVD, not go straight to cutlist requests.
CVD thread is here. justarandomguy, who raised the cut request, has been pinged to that thread.
Hi, I recently requested Why We Cant Have Nice Things Wick Check to be cut because I don't need it anymore (it's been used in TRS so now it's basically a dupe). I thought it was common courtesy to cut sandboxes that aren't needed anymore, but the request was declined and I've received no notification as to why. What happened? Has there been a mistake?
Restore Music.Bubblegum so it can possibly be mod moved to Main.Bubblegum Music, if we want to follow the desires of this TLP draft?

~opal6561 The CV process is already being worked through now the A Family Full Of Freaks decision has been made.
It doesn't need to be separately submitted to the cutlist, and we normally add it to the Administrivia page etc. before any cut.
Someone added another CSP from Final Fantasy. The page was redirected before putting on Cut List ?
You can redirect a page or cut it, one or the other, and the page isn't a redirect currently.
TroperWall / WikiMagic Cleanupx5 - Yeah, copying Music.Bubblegum to a sandbox makes sense, given how it's limbo right now.
Disambig Needed: Help with those issues! tvtropes.org/pmwiki/posts.php?discussion=13324299140A37493800&page=24#comment-576I've restored the Bubblegum page.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard Feynmanx9 Still looking for an answer - why was my request to cut a sandbox I don't need anymore declined?
Cut it now, sorry.

^^I am not sure that Fanworks subpages have length requirements.
