For the wick check question, I actually just close my eyes, scroll up and down, and randomly select wicks that way. Not the ideal way of wick checking, but it's how I've done it for years.
For the TRS question, there's the TRS Queue—that's where threads get queued up. It's currently quite long, but if more people do wick cleaning/close threads in the process it can be shortened.
If you have any other questions, just ask.

TRS Queue | Works That Require Cleanup of Complaining | Troper WallI wrote a bash script to automatically make lists of wicks to check, but I was informed that such a thing is so against the rules that posting it a second time risks a permaban. So nowadays I download the Related To page, do some command line stuff to strip out all the extraneous HTML, and then some other commands to randomly select either 50 or √(total wicks), whichever is higher.
Ukrainian Red CrossRe: wick check issues: I am not sure if I understand the problem but you don't need to match numbers to wicks. You can sort and number them any way that seems useful. When I use a randomizer I grab a little more than the amount wicks I need (because the randomizer includes namespaces headers), dump the wicks into a sandbox, number everything, copy the text to each wick and surrounding context for potholes, and then sort.
You can check Wick Check Project for an example of what a completed wick check looks like.

Macron's notesMaybe but that's not the place to discuss that because only admins can do/fix tech related things. You can make a request on Query Wishlist. I don't personally see how the numbers matter as it doesn't take long to sort number wicks yourself and you are to have to re-number the wicks when you sort them anyways because you have pick them randomly. It takes me 5-10 minutes or less to number 50 wicks on wiki pages.
As for the TRS Queue isn't linked to Trope Repair Shop because it's not an official queue. You can follow the page to keep track of it though.
Also, these questions regarding TRS go to TRS general discussions (the queue is linked in the pinned OP post as well) and wick check questions go in this thread.
If all of your questions has been answered on this thread, I'll go ahead and lock it as resolved

Macron's notesYou can also just do what I and some others do, and scroll up and down at random intervals to collect wicks that way. You don't have to worry about finding specific wick numbers or doing complicated set ups if you just grab your wicks as you go. This also makes it easier to do your check in bursts, if that's easier for you timewise.
Current Project: Incorruptible Pure Pureness
I'd like to make a submission to the Trope Repair Shop, but I'm not entirely sure how to do so. It's currently at the 50-thread cap, so no new submissions can be made. Is there a separate section to submit threads to the approval queue, or do I just have to watch the forum until a thread is closed?
I'm also having difficulty doing a wick check. The Administrivia page links to a random number generator for creating a random sample, but there doesn't appear to be any easy way to match a number to each wick, as the wicks on a "related" page aren't numbered. I've settled on manually copy-and-pasting the page titles into a spreadsheet program, but even that's fiddly because the "related" page also includes headers that aren't wicks. Could this be improved so that the "related" page automatically numbers each wick for ease of random sampling?
