Current has some empty space on the sides, plus, with the horizontal nature of the image, the various reporters/interviewers are tiny and hard to make out. They all also cover up the iconic stopwatch.
I suggest replacing it with an image of said iconic stopwatch, mimicing the one thing literally everyone thinks about when they hear the show's name:
