I don’t really see a MacGuffin in 1.1 (even having seen the movie), and 1.2 is bad quality. Current illustrates the trope to an outsider (i.e. me), which is sufficient.

It doesn't need to be a McGuffin, just any plot device works.

Plus, Bequeathed Power wouldn't work anyway since nothing in the image states the ring is a superpower.
