I favor 1.1. 1.2 has too much overlap with Line-of-Sight Name.

Neither of these work for me. I don't understand what the alias is referencing in 1.1, and as already stated, 1.2 has too much overlap with Line-of-Sight Name.
They aren't comic panels, but Stargate SG-1 has two fun examples.

The universe is under no obligation to make sense to us.
Does 1.2 even work for Line-of-Sight Name? It looks more like Line-of-Sight Alias to me.

I'd like to apologize for all this.
Yeah, I think 1.1/current is too many words in a not-so-readable font for an image that doesn't even say Hino Rei is a character's name. It's alluded to when Bruce tells "her" "the name is a giveaway", but, again... not-so-readable font.
No pic for now, I guess.

The image doesn't actually do anything for that example; it's basically Just a Face and a line of dialogue.

The problem isn't the dialogue, it's that the image could just be a quote. If the actual visuals don't add anything, then it's a bad image.

As somebody who's not a fan of the selections so far, I'm going to toss in the first panel of this Freefall
; it's not a great image (and needs an explanation of the name as being a Flash villain), but it feels somewhat better than what has been suggested so far; in particular the art and dialogue at least somewhat indicate that this is a made up name.
