We have determined that Lets Players are not inherently tropable. They need to provide some sort of narrative, characters, and story to be allowed on this wiki. This applies to Vtubers just as much as other content creators, but Kayfabe makes the distinction between streamer and character particularly fuzzy.
The purpose of the thread is to remove tropes from pages concerning Vtubers that apply only to the actor rather than the character.
- If there is not a clear separation between the character and the actor, we assume that it is the actor represented, and thus they are not tropable.
- In other words, it is up to the user writing the example to show that it pertains to the character and not the actor.
- Regardless, the content they produce must meet our standards for Web Video, meaning substantial original and/or transformative material.
- A vlog, review, or Let's Play does not become tropable just because the person doing it has an anime avatar.

PLEASE do not argue over the guidelines here. We've been through that argument too many times and it slows the cleanup effort down. Asking if some grey area meets the guidelines is okay. Arguing that the guidelines should be changed are not. If you would like to discuss the guidelines, go to the Real-Person Troping Policy thread.

isn't it the same example added back, albeit by different tropers?
You have removed it with a valid reason that was approved by at least one troper in this thread, only to have the entry re-added by another troper who doesn't even deign to visit this thread despite being pinged. That's all that can be said for the current situation.
"They played us like a DAMN FIDDLE!" — Kazuhira Miller, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom PainWhat should be done about Amanda Lee/LeeAndLie/AmaLee's page? Much of the page is IRL troping related to her pre-Vtuber voice-actress and musician careers, which makes me wonder if her Vtuber persona (Multiverse Monarch) should be split from her main page?
From what I've seen she's rarely in-character as a Vtuber but has done an album and several music videos expanding on Monarch's backstory, and the Author Avatars in her music videos are revealed to be avatars that Monarch uses to spy on different universes so she can prepare to conquer them.

"Multiverse Monarch is a character played by Amanda Lee" as far as we're concerned, naturally it needs to be separated.
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupAlright. I'll see what I can do. What namespace should Multiverse Monarch's content go under—Characters?
Web Animation/. Characters/ is a subpage (implies having a work page)

TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupOK. Will get started on it in a bit.
EDIT: Multiverse Monarch is a go!

Went ahead and removed the trope list from Lee’s page.
She/Her | Currently cleaning N/AFloating this as a potential entry for Nerissa Ravencroft...anyone who keeps up with her content more steadily than I is welcome to suggest changes.
Lascivious Beauty Mark: Nerissa, her sisters Malpha and Aradia, and her mother all have beauty marks; Nerissa and her mother have one under their left eye, Malpha has one under each eye, and Aradia's is below her mouth. Fittingly, they're all very attractive and well-endowed, and while Nerissa is the only one that isn't married, she's very flirtatious, leans into naughty jokes or comments, and has an outspoken appreciation for beautiful women. Aradia has a deep, sultry voice and likes to play along with the Jailbirds to embarrass or annoy Nerissa, Malpha has several children, and their mother has coyly offered to steal the Jailbirds from Nerissa.

Possibly related to this and this.
I'd say it going into personal details quite a bit.

TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupYeah, the main drawback is that I'm not sure how much of what they bring to the table is just RL stuff and how much is meant to be blended into the Ravencroft family lore. I just happened to notice that the mom and all of the kids, even the son, have the usual beauty mark and tried to make it fit one of the subtropes it was disambig'd to.
One question: There are cases where some Vtubers share the same "mama" and therefore call each other "siblings" when they stream together. Since they aren't actually related by lore except for having the same illustrator, does it count as Family of Choice?
Examples:
Vox Akuma and Fulgur Ovid call themselves the LAM Bros. because they're both designed by LAM. rpr has also been acknowledged by them as the third LAM Brother.
Luca Kaneshiro, Alban Knox and Umise Yotsuha call each other siblings whenever the three of them interact, since they're all designed by oyo.
Petra Gurin and Igarashi Rika call each other sisters because they're both designed by momoco.
These don't say if they actually treat "siblings" as family, just like "mama" is more of a terminology than a mother.
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupUhm... ~/Oxyrhynchus has been adding commented-out warnings on the Nijisanji pages in the wake of Selen Tatsuki's termination.
While I understand that it's there to prevent drama importation, I do think it's heavy-handed, considering the most that can be said about the situation is a simple entry in Role-Ending Misdemeanor.
Edit 1: I wrote $Tropers/{{Oxyrhynchus}} as I would normally ping people. I wonder why it's not working.
Edit 2: This is the original markup, and the first edit markup simply added [= =] brackets. Something is definitely wrong with forum markup.

"They played us like a DAMN FIDDLE!" — Kazuhira Miller, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom PainCheck you PM if the ping is wrong, you forgot @.
We don't allowed drama importation or treating business as moments, but it's not like "anything" is banned.
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupAttempting to ping ~Tropers/Oxyrhynchus again (if you see this, please see the posts above.)
Vouching for this note being overkill, or at least unprofessional. "If you spent as much time fightin' as ye did hidin', maybe this wouldn't have happened!"
Ah I see, the troper handle has a custom title. Also I apologize for extra messages.

TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupIf ~/Oxyrhynchus doesn't reply to the thread, should the commented out note be removed since there's now at least two tropers (me and TrocyteV) thinking it's a bit too much for the pages?
"They played us like a DAMN FIDDLE!" — Kazuhira Miller, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom PainI've agreed with the removal as well because it's a bit inaccurate rule that was added without discussion.

TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupPlease, I don't want another Flame War
STOP RIGHT THERE! BULLS**T!I don't know what you're on about with another Flame War, but jumping the gun by unilaterally and pre-emptively plastering the wiki with warnings that have no credible authority is not how we do things.

"They played us like a DAMN FIDDLE!" — Kazuhira Miller, Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom PainNoting that Willbyr changed the notice to be less assertive. I agree that for this wiki's scope, Selen's termination is not relevant outside of the act itself, but only in non-trivia sections.
"If you spent as much time fightin' as ye did hidin', maybe this wouldn't have happened!"Dokibird was launched but it contains a spoilered out part in regards to her past life. I'm not sure if that's allowed.
She/Her | Currently cleaning N/ATreating reality as something that needs to be spoiler-tagged in any way is absurd. That can certainly go.
back lol
But there's no edit warring or vandalism.
Also this thread kinda goes on commenting on the troperbase when it should be either fixing pages right away or gaining approval to remove examples.
