Spun off the main odd confessions thread; this thread is for odd confessions related to TV Tropes itself.
Excessive complaining isn't allowed anywhere on the site. Keep it out of this thread.
I felt guilty about having to remove some of the real life examples on Mandela Effect. I would not have removed them if they didn't violate site policy. I enjoyed reading those examples, and I'm sure the people who wrote them are not happy about them being removed.

I didn't realize "barkeep" from Everyone Calls Him "Barkeep" and His Name Really Is "Barkeep" was an actual word, short for "barkeeper," and thought it had something to do with barking (as in the sound dogs make).
I keep thinking about Azrael a lot lately, not sure whyI help out in one ATT and I ended up alphabetising a page for 2 hours even though no one asked to. I like helping, but I was supposed to progress on my assignment today.
I'm sorry if I go offline again but why am I like this?

Obsessively Organized. We're all like this.
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupI wanna ask Cutegirl920fire if Rose Of Versailles was a huge hit in Korea, I wanna do but dont want to bother her. Also I love her Marie Antoinette avatars.
Discord: Waido X 255#1372 If you cant contact me on TV Tropes do it here. The more I use this site and get used to it's... uh... quirks, I find it all the more funny I was once allowed to use our pages for a paper in a highschool film class
That should tell you how much a joke the class was.
Current Project: Incorruptible Pure PurenessI cited TearJerker.South Park in my college thesis. To be fair it was giving an example of an audience reaction to a particular episode.
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.I forget what the paper was about but I basically cited various tropes in the essay.
Current Project: Incorruptible Pure PurenessI gave a speech about Nightmare Fuel one time. That was fun. :)
Princess Aurora is underrated, pass it on.I remember once citing the page Our Alebrijes Are Different when I was doing a report on a Latin-American/Hispanic artist in Spanish class one year (my report was on Pedro Linares Lopez, the creator of alebrijes).
Cold turkey's getting stale. Tonight I'm eating crow.If I ever met Doug Walker IRL...I'd speed-walk as fast as I can away from him before he gets a chance to make fun of me.

If you play with fire, you're gonna get burned.one time made a page for a comic i never even started, with tropes that applied to scenes that didn't exist. it also shared a name with another piece of media
check out KinitoPETThat's not a TV Tropes confession.
SoundCloudI get peeved when a character in a Trope Pantheons profile doesn't have an example on the page of the trope they represent/are supposed to be a "god" of.
Then again, I'm working on a profile for Little Misfortune to represent Everything's Better with Sparkles, but I haven't crosswicked the example I made on the work page yet because alphabetisation is just one of the issues...
I had the idea to make Recap/ pages for episodes of Turbo F.A.S.T. a while ago, but never pursued it.
I just recently checked out the work page again, got pleasantly surprised that there's a page image, followed by the unpleasant surprise that (according to the page description) the whole show was pulled from Netflix months ago.
It's not enough for a TRS thread, but part of me thinks Snow Means Cold is written backwards, and "Cold Means Snow" would better reflect the trope.
For every low there is a high.yes.
I'd rename a lot of tropes, but our policy is "as long as it's not causing misuse".
It does have Cold Means Snow as a redirect, though.
TroperWall / WikiMagic CleanupWhy does it always happen that, when I have a YKTS query in mind to make nowadays, I recall something that helps me find it again? 😅 Then I look at the almost-finished query I have and I'm like, I'm glad I remembered but I kinda wanted to post this lol
When I mean the screen is broken into pieces, I mean that the view of the level is fractured, but the pieces that coincide a certain area of the level will match up in the scenery, and the protagonist can be seen through these pieces. Some pieces are rotated, which can get really confusing.
There's an object (I recall it being a ghost/spirit in at least one of these games) that the protagonist must touch to complete the level. After that, the pieces line form back into the un-fractured level, the protagonist falls off the level, and a line of poetry is spoken, presumably with the voice of that protagonist.
These would accumulate into a full poem that tells a story by the end of the game. I remember the tone of them, and the game as a whole, being rather sad, but I don't solidly remember any of the stories.
Turns out, it was called "Fractured", and I played it on Kizi, but Flash doesn't work anymore so I can't play it. I couldn't find it cuz I kept getting South Park: The Fractured but Whole videos instead. Good thing quotation marks exist, so now I can find some resources:
- Fractured 1: walkthrough, guide.
- Fractured 2: walkthrough, guide
- Fractured 3: walkthrough, guide
- Fractured 4: walkthrough
EDIT: I was thinking of making the page but it turns out VideoGame.Fractured already exists

Probably a really specific thing to ask for but I wish there was an option to check for wicks of two or more tropes at the same time, like how booru sites allow for searching with multiple tags at a time. I actually want a feature like this for a couple other sites, but right now I'm thinking about here.
The closest would be using Ctrl+F on one Related page to look for another trope, but I feel like looking for multiple wicks on the same pages would be more convenient.
I keep thinking about Azrael a lot lately, not sure whyI thought there was a tool to look for overlapping wicks between pages but I only found one that lists duplicate tropes listed between two works.
I do some cleanup and then I enjoy shows you probably think are cringe.I forgot the context of the image on Funny.Sonic The Hedgehog 22022, and for a second, I genuinely thought that was blood and gore. Sorry if you can't unsee that now. :P

Gengars are so Creepy Cute. :DI desperately wish I could speed up videos like I can on You Tube.
Current Project: Incorruptible Pure PurenessI used Russia's love for Brazilian Telenovela Tropicaliente as an example of a politician using media to their advantage.
He arranged new eps to air on election they so people would stay and vote.
Discord: Waido X 255#1372 If you cant contact me on TV Tropes do it here.Whenever I see a thump, I get insanely curious about what the post was.
For every low there is a high.Especially when the responses to the post aren't Thumped, making one wonder what they were responding to.

All it takes is checking out a work I haven't caught up in a bit to send me into an intensive TVT editing session of pimping up work pages, which I can drain hours into. But I celebrated too early this weekend, I still have a lot of stuff to do...
I'm gonna cut it back to wick-cleaning for now. Or less.
And it's 2 am, good night.
