Igh. The Same, but More Specific seems like a fair assessment; in addition, I see Drunk with Power is a distinct trope that only sounds like another duplicate (it's about rapid-onset Power Corrupts for gaining a position of authority specifically).
(As for if this is the right place: yes, insofar as determining what the tropes mean and what the difference between them is, but to talk about actually fixing any serious problems with them you'd need to add it to the waitlist for TRS.)

The Revolution Will Not Be TropeableThis is the right place for checking understanding. To get help with making a Wick Check, there's a thread in one of the two project forums that can give you advice.

This has been bugging me for a while. I read the descriptions for both Power High and Drunk on the Dark Side and I genuinely couldn't find any significant differences. If anything, the latter seems to be The Same, but More to the former. From the former: "This trope is mostly associated with villain characters as they are the more likely to express pleasure when gaining power and using it for hedonistic purposes than heroes." That sounds like an accurate description of the latter to me. Should we merge these? And by the way, is this even the right topic?
