We're going to need the Pokémon World Coronation Series category then. Since we are to be treating the anime as something completely separated from the game (on a technicality), it would be easier to classify Leon, Bea, Marine, Drasna and Raihan as PWC participants (since Ash is not fighting them as Gym Leaders and is treating them as actual rivals). The non-participating Galar Gym Leaders can be regulated to Galar Gym Leaders. Wikstorm would be classified under supporting cast (since without Drasana, there is no need for a Kalos League banner).

I checked Characters.Pokemon The Series Sun And Moon again and found another, "Gladion's Special Pokémon", who is actually Nihilego first found in Journeys. I don't know why it's here if it's a spoiler for Journeys. Does this belong to Journeys page?

That is officially Gladion's Pokémon since he actually caught it. It is only exception to the rule of previous characters who are not Brock and Misty catching new Pokémon in the next series (Iris catching Gible doesn't count since it's still part of BW).

Technically, it should be under Gladion's Pokémon folder, but it is a big plot twist in the Finding Mohn arc.

I'm not sure about it, but I see it's an uncommon exception so I left in Sun & Moon for now.

I've moved all the canon characters with earlier/later appearance like Agatha, Steven, etc. For Characters.Pokemon The Series Ruby And Sapphire, I used the categories here. I didn't know what to do with Wikstrom and Drasna in Journeys because I also moved Lisia with them, who is a one-shot but based on a character in video games. I put them in "Others" for now. Seems like Characters.Pokemon Journeys The Series needs more comprehensive categories for supporting cast, not to mention how to mention all the returning characters from previous series.

In regards to returning characters, only Serena and the participating members of the PWC should be mentioned in the Pokémon Journeys page since they are quite relevant to the Journeys narrative rather than just expected guest appearances, being part of a pack for Ash and Chloe's journeys. Serena for the Eeveeolution Trainers pack, and characters like Volkner, Flint, Korrina, Alain and every regional Champion in the PWC pack.

Also, we should round up any "one-shot" characters that actually have more than one episode appearance and put them all under Supporting Cast. And we can put Galar characters there under a specific Galar banner.

Weren't we supposed to remove the Masters Eight section though? Since every member of the M8 minus Leon debuted in a previous series, I thought we were going to cut that.

Lana would also count as an Eeveelution user, since there's a scene from JN112 where Chloe's Eevee plays around with Sandy and Lana reminds her she can always just stay as an Eevee. Lana also appears in flashbacks that revolve around the Eeveelution journey.

Yes to Lana as well. As for the PWC, we need one folder mentioning all of the returning PWC participants and where you can find their information. Flint, Volkner, Korrina, and the Master 8 comes to find.

Been looking through the One-Shot Character archive and specifically the opponents. Of the opponents, Rinto is clearly not a One-Shot Character since he appeared twice and was key to Ash's Farfetch'd evolving into Sirfetch'd.

Oliver, Hayden, and Dozer are disposable and interchangeable characters like Indigo opponents of Mandi, Pete, and Jeanette. I don't recommend moving them into the World Coronation Series by the current standards unless Ash's Indigo Opponents are somehow included into the Original Series page.

Visquez is a tricky one. She is a One-Shot Character, but she has a great connection to Lt. Surge, being inspired by his Raichu's battle Ash's Pikachu. And her assistant Tony reappears an opponent for Ash in the Great Rank, which technically makes him not a One-Shot Character... but he's much less of a character than Visquez. I recommend combining the two into one folder since Tony's reappearance made it clear Visquez isn't forgotten like other One Shot Characters.

Kricketina Kylie is a One-Shot Character, but she has appeared in a flashback. And she played a bigger and crucial role in Goh's story, being the person to trade Heracross (the one that Goh's Pinsir fell in love this) to Goh. Since she is Ash's opponent and Goh's trading partner, I suggesting putting her in the World Coronation Series, if that's okay.

On another note, I was looking at Characters.Pokemon The Series Team Rocket Organization and it's super disorganized. The folders all seem to be thrown on there at complete random with no order I can make out. Just for reference, here's all the folders in their current order:

Thoughts on how to reorganize? Right now I'm thinking to divide them into categories like this:
Possibly a different section for Domino and Gozu because they seemed to be ranked higher than the standard grunts, but below Giovanni and Matori. Iron-Masked Marauder should also be moved to the Movies page with a redirect link.

That new order looks fine to me. I'd leave the two you name dropped where they are for now. Unless being of a higher rank is important to the story, they can stay where they are. Keep it simple

Pelipper's kind of complicated because originally it just delivered the Rocket Prize Master but starting with To Train, or Not to Train!, the Water Bird Pokémon starting hanging out with Team Rocket more.

While true I think Pelipper is more comparable to Delibird in that it ultimately belongs to the organization, rather than being a member of the trio. Although on the same subject, I'm not against moving the Rotom Phone to the Journeys main cast page as it's pretty much a full-time member of the group and follows them everywhere.

Just added the important One Shot Characters of the PWC in Journeys page, and modified some to be more substantial after researching a bit (found out that Tony was actually accompanied by Steve in their debut episode). I do have a tendency to make tweaks here and there due to paranoia of losing my progress after 20 minutes or so.

So, how do we deal with One-Shot Character issue regarding Kanto? I'm planning to add supporting cast that should have a character page to begin with (namely Kurt for the whole GS Ball thing), but it reminds me that we should figure out what to do with those characters, particularly those we approved to be iconic enough to have their folders.

Yeah, Kurt can get an entry as he's a video game character.

For other one-shot characters, my opinion are still same as here. Any character who only appears in one episode and has no troping about other media can be moved to their Recap pages without losing anything. I don't want to get too picky about adding a one-shot character, but there has to be some actual minimum quality to make it in and the old version of Characters.Pokemon The Original Series One Shot Characters took things way too far.

For example, I think Joe and Giselle can possibly stay because they became a Canon Immigrant in Yellow and their entries cover this, but their folders should be merged into just one folder because they both appear in The School of Hard Knocks.

To clarify my question. What should be the category for prominent One-Shot Character?

Should it be other or supporting cast or something else entirely? It was easy to categorize one shot characters when they belong in the World Tournament or a small category called Other. Not so much with Kanto since continuity isn't a big priority.

Feels like "Minor Opponents" is the reasonable category to go with because a lot of more prominent one-shot characters are almost always someone who fought Ash in some way. This also rescues most examples on Characters.Pokemon The Original Series One Shot Characters that have some actual effort put into it, like Samurai, Giselle, AJ, Damian, etc.

For more criteria to decide who to put into the category, I suggest looking at the second Japanese opening "The Rivals", which actually recognizes minor rivals like Giselle and AJ next to the other supporting cast like Duplica. This might be the closest thing the official media acknowledged Ash's minor opponents in Kanto, so I think this is a good place to start.

Okay, so I'm starting to add the minor rivals to the page... and there is a problem.

The original series page is getting too big. It's going to need to be split once again because the Original Series cover both Kanto and Johto (and has the most episodes out of any Pokémon series). Even without One Shot Characters, it is very likely to go over regardless we expand descriptions for the Johto Gym Leaders and important supporting cast (namely Eusine).

I recommend splitting the section Pallet Town and Major Recurring Characters into its own page... and put it on Series-wide section with Ash, Pikachu, Team Rocket Trio, and Team Rocket Organization. Call it Major Recurring Cast or something similar like that.

Because I realized something. Residents of Pallet Town almost always show up in every series, a feat that not even Brock has achieved. Professor Oak, Delia, Officer Jenny, and Nurse Joy. They appeared in all the series, and Nurse Joy and Officer Jenny aren't just native to Kanto. They are literally in every region wherever Ash goes.

Only Gary and Mimey don't appear in all the series, but Mimey is only absent in XY while Gary only missed out on BW (not counting flashbacks), XY, and SM. He comes back full force in Journeys.

Yeah, trying to edit Characters.Pokemon The Original Series on my end now shows a warning about the article getting too long, too. The Pallet Town characters and Jenny/Joy appear across the entire series, so that kind of split makes sense. Characters.Pokemon The Series Major Recurring Cast sounds like a good idea.

I did math based on current version (which has 225k) and the character numbers look pretty good

• Characters.Pokemon The Original Series: ~166k after split (adding more one-shots will increase it)
• Characters.Pokemon The Series Major Recurring Cast: ~60k

Also, what do we do about Mimey? It was implied for years that he was Delia's Pokémon but in the 2010's, they started implying that Ash caught the Barrier Pokémon and gave it to Delia.

Put Mimey into Pallet Town section just under Delia. And then, in Main Cast Original Series, put a Mimey folder with a redirect link in Ash's Kanto Pokémon.

That sounds like a good idea. I was toying with it myself for a while since like you said, characters like Oak and Nurse Joy are a staple of every series. Could probably even just call it Pokémon: The Series — Supporting Cast.

On a similar note, I wasn't sure if it was too late to ask, but it might be better to take the Misty/Brock page and put it up there with the series-wide staples. Rename it to "Original Trio" or something along those lines with a redirect to Ash's page. That way there's also room to add tropes about the trio as a whole.

I agree. Misty and Brock would fit better as Major Supporting Cast given that Brock has a track record of being in several series as Ash's frequent companion.

Scratch that. If Misty and Brock were to go to Major Supporting Cast, It would be over 200,000 bytes as Misty and Brock's page alone is 163,830 bytes. The Major Supporting Cast would have to be a standalone. However, we could add Original Trio on top of Misty and Brock.

Perhaps that can work, though it's making me think that each main cast must have a "As a Group" folder to make sure this isn't first installment bias.
