Re-arranging Ace Attorney Characters Page

I'm not fond of the usage of the term "minor characters" in this context, some of the characters on those pages are hardly minor, some even Big Bads. What was wrong "witnesses and other characters" branding we used previously? It's at the very least more indicative and accurate than "minor characters", and I don't see how the planned changes make it undesirable to use.

I prefer "Case-Specific Characters", shorter and broader.

I still don't know why we can't list Big Bads on their own page when characters like Junko Enoshima and Ganon have their own page. Or at least not lump them in with minor characters IF they are relevant to the Main Plot such as Morgan Fey, Manfred Von Karma, and Dahlia. Though for characters that exclusively appear in one case I could see Case specific characters being used for Redd White, Damon Gant, and Matt Engarde. As for characters like Investigations 2's Mastermind Simon Keyes, Mael Stronghart and Ashley Graydon, I could see us making a game specific antagonists page.

Because of the Self-Fulfilling Spoiler issue. This is a mystery series (so is Danganronpa, but unlike Junko none of the Ace Attorney games have the same main antagonist).

To be fair if you look something up on TV Tropes, you're likely going to get spoiled no matter what.

I did like how the folders were organized before but putting Big Bad characters like Dahlia, Morgan Fey, Manfred etcetera and such into minor characters when they are relevant to the plot is something I'm not exactly passionate about.

Maybe keep the Fey Clan folders for Dahlia and Morgan, The Von Karmas for Manfred and Franziska that's hardly a spoiler, Mael could probably go in Judges in major characters as he acts like a judge for the final trial in Resolve, and given that he's, you know, the Chief Justice it really wouldn't be a spoiler.

Godot can go in main Prosecutors with the non Von Karma or Payne Prosecutors.

Aside from that I really don't like the idea of putting big Bads in minor characters unless we have separate Tropes for them as their original self Keyes and the Mastermind or Bobby Fulbright and the Phantom to use an example. UNLESS they are relevant to just one case.

Stronghart is currently on Characters.The Great Ace Attorney, and I think the current split of the Investigations and The Great Ace Attorney subseries is fine.

I see no need for a separate page for main antagonists; as I said previously, we can avoid the "Big Bads in minor characters" problem by just not using the term "minor characters" at all. "Case-specific characters" is better but has the issue of implying that the characters appear exclusively in one case when that's not always true.

Remind me if anything needs to be done for Characters.Ace Attorney. It has occurred to me that there are now a bunch of sandboxes with no activity.

Bumping. What's the current status of this project?

We managed to split off the Investigations and Great Ace Attorney character pages. But then it came to a halt. I've been too busy with IRL stuff to maintain this project.

That said, I can spare some time to continue if we have a consensus on what to do. At the very least I want to pull out victims and one-shot characters from other pages and put them inside their respective cases.

Still confused if Sandbox.Characters Ace Attorney is done or not and if we've agreed to not rearrange further.

This might be annoying and not constructive given the state of the sandbox, but now I'm wondering if we can just sidestep the "minor/case characters" terminology issue by keeping those characters on the game pages.

So Characters.Phoenix Wright Ace Attorney Trials And Tribulations would host Sandbox.Characters Ace Attorney Trials And Tribulations Minor Characters, and we would just have to separate the main cast.

I think the sandboxes can be deleted. They're like outdated by a year.

I'm not opposed to that.
