Could have went a million years without anyone making a thread for this series.
So....yea....this definitely exists.
A lazy millennial who's good at what he does. It's better to redirect discussion here from the Winter 2021 thread, because there ARE people who will talk about it there unless.
Eh, too stupid to be offensive.
"I'll show you fear, there is no hell, only darkness." My twitterMan, I have no idea how they got away with what they showed in the second episode.
At the very least, it has raised considerable interest in it.
I've read the manga ahead and honestly, its schlock. Forget all of the questionable stuff, the writing and story structuring just isn't very engaging as a story.
And the Anime is uuugly, like literally cheap hentai OVA bad.
That said, the second episode having the MC slap homegirl with his dick had me in stiches.

A lazy millennial who's good at what he does.So... this thing exists. As an anime, to boot. From what little I've seen and heard (Such as ), I'm surprised to hear that it (probably) ISN'T a cheap hentai OVA.
Okay, look. Personally, my stance is to NOT insult someone based on what fictional stories they like, regardless of my own feelings on it. This is no different; if anyone here likes this anime unironically, that's cool, that's fine.
It is also true that depiction does not mean endorsement. However, if the story is written in a way that tries to make the reader root for the "hero" of the story, not just despite the awful things they do, but BECAUSE of them, then the "Depiction =/= Endorsement"-argument kind of falls flat for me. I think the biggest question about the... questionable elements of the story is whether we are meant to root for the protagonist or not. (As it tends to be in these kinds of stories.)
Now, I'm not sure I've heard enough to make a fair statement on this, so to anyone who has read the story further... What's your take? Are we meant to root for the protagonist and his quest for revenge or not? To emphasize: I mean "Are we meant to root for him", not "Do you root for him".
EDIT: You know, the more I hear about this story and what is contained in it, the worse it gets... Maybe I gave this thing too much benefit of doubt, and tried to add something to discuss so the thread won't be dedicated solely to bashing it. Those are from what I've seen frowned upon here.
Regardless, I don't see much to defend in this story, if there even IS anything to defend. Even if we weren't supposed to root for the protagonist, the cartoonishly grimdark and/or cliché elements of the story are just too much. It's Bile Fascination at best.

apparently this series has a Lighter and Softer spin-off called Hospitality of Healer, has anyone checked that out?

Bumbleby is best ship. busy spending time on r/RWBY and r/anime. Unapologetic SocialistI can't do this. I tried to watch and it's just so unpleasant, on top of being generic. The rape scenes are genuinely disturbing, not exactly because of the act itself but because it's presented in such a "This is what you wanted, right?" kind of way.
Find the Light in the DarkApparently, the show is doing really well in terms of view count in Japan.
And apparently, it's pulling in a decent amount of Amazon pre-orders, though with bonuses like this, I can't be too surprised. Or can I?
Eric Bischoff said it best. Controversy Creates Cash. At least at first anyway.
AT-X is the only anime network showing Redo of Healer uncensored, and almost everything else on that list is a rerun of an old show, so naturally it gets the most traffic under those conditions. It's fine to say the show found an audience, but context is key.

Question not on the anime itself but on it's own media page. If logged off I couldn't find the C Vaharcter page icon at all. Anything wrong with the wiki right now?
For the Imperium!!!Attack on Titan and Re Zero focused anituber Natalie X Hunter made a video about Redo of Healer and edge in anime:
Understandably, Germany pulls out of simulcasting.
Huh this is getting dubbed....
Like for real?
"That's right mortal. By channeling my divine rage into power, I have forged a new instrument in which to destroy you."By who? I can't find any information about a dub anywhere.
Huh, at least everyone was warned in advance of what they were getting into, unlike with Interspecies Reviewers.
Flippé de participer à ce grand souper, je veux juste m'occuper de taper mon propre tempo. The article you posted said it's getting a German dub weirdly enough...
Sorry for not being clear.
"That's right mortal. By channeling my divine rage into power, I have forged a new instrument in which to destroy you."From what I understand the show is doing well enough talk of a Season 2 has begun, so an English dub isn’t out of the question.
Expect everyone to use pseudonyms if they do though.
Yeaaaaah... the main problem with this series is, that from the tone of the writing, we're still supposed to root for the protagonist because of some "he's bad but everyone else is worse so it's okay" BS excuse.
I mean, I'm okay with the protagonist being morally questionable like Naofumi, but I have to draw the line somewhere, after which the series goes into Designated Hero territory and I just don't care anymore.
Basically, Redo of Healer is just darkness and edge for the sake of darkness and edge.
If you have this come across as worse than Shield Hero which was edgy enough than you have gone on a seriously creepy rode.
Ugh I wish Solo Leveling got its anime out instead of this crap.

Yeah, this series is basically Shield Hero but darker and with explicit nudity and sexuality.
You have your protagonist who is a believer of karmic rape and only cares about revenge deep down and the story tries to spin him like the good guy by virtue of making everyone else an even worse monster than him.
Discounting the rape issue, that sort of protagonist only works if the writing is up to snuff and we get some glimpses of noble traits beyond the revenge quest. Needless to say, the writing is more interested in being gratuitious than being smart.
Instead of focusing on relatives that divide us, maybe we should try to find the absolutes that tie us.
Solo Leveling is honestly just as bad in certain ways, as it constantly spins Jin-Woo's increasing sociopathy as a good thing while framing everyone not Korean as a bad guy. Then, after the Japanese team purposefully tries to get all of Korea's top hunters killed, they get slaughtered and Jin-Woo goes over to bail Japan out, essentially annexing it into Korea in the process as people prostrate themselves before him.
The story actively rewards and incentivizes him to solve his problems with murder above all else and everyone opposing him is an asshole or an Obstructive Bureaucrat.
Then he commits genocide on an entire race of fully sapient demons because it's faster than talking to them.

I am gonna have to heavily disagree with that.
Kaifuku Jutsushi no Yarinaoshi, or Redo of [a] Healer, is the tale of young lad named Keyaru. After being wrong for the last time, Keyaru performed one of the most miraculous forms of healing magic ever know; healing the passage of time! Allowing him to travel back to the past to redo his life, and punish his tormentors.
As you can see from the video, Keyaru is about to embark on a quest to Pay Evil unto Evil so brutal that you may find yourself questioning if it's all worth it in the end. Who knows? All we can do is use this thread to discuss the anime, manga, and light novel. Yes, the anime is currently ongoing but I think fans of Healer are capable of tagging their spoilers enough that anime only viewers can come here safely.
