Bizu-kun (Cafeteria)

Bizu-kun takes a red cube and places it on the tray labelled "Iris". The tray shifts downwards four times.

Kennifer (Main Lobby)

Investigating the other phone booths would reveal that they're all just variations of the same room. One has different paintings, different pillows, some are lacking a few elements in the first room, and some have more random objects added to them. But it seems like they're all the same in structure, if not for content.

There are three phone booths in total. Which one do you want to check?

[Bizu-kun stares blankly at the cube in the Iris tray for a moment.]

Bizu-kun (Cafeteria)

Bizu-kun removes the cube from the Iris tray. The tray pumps back upwards from its slot, making four shifting sounds.

>put the cube down somewhere away from the trays and sit on the Iris tray

Bizu-kun (Cafeteria)

Bizu-kun puts away the cube and sits on the tray.

...Yeah. It's not all that comfortable, but you're there? It hasn't moved any.

[Bizu-kun sits there, deep in thought. What hasn't he tried yet?]

>pick up the cube again and sit on the tray while holding the cube

   "It's no good. This door seems almost impenetrable. Perhaps we should try a different door..."    He looks around and sees the two others who recently entered the cafeteria.    Or perhaps we can inspect what they're doing instead. I'll be doing that until anything else happens, I suppose. We're not getting anywhere with this door at the moment.   

>walks over to inquire Bizu-kun as to why he's sitting on a tray

Bizu-kun (Cafeteria)

Nooot exactly sure what you're trying to do here, but Bizu-kun picks up the cube again and sits on the tray. It goes down again by four, meaning you're - well, you're still sitting on it, so you're kind of inside the counter right now. It's a pretty tight fit, and your limbs are sticking in the air like someone's forced you down an oil barrel.

...You're stuck, aren't you.

Boboibot arrives just in time to witness this. As for the answer to that question, hell if I know.

   "I'm experimenting."

   Oh dear. Would you be willing of accepting any assistance regarding your... current predicament?

Bizu-kun (Cafeteria)

Throw the cube at Boboibot to rebalance the scale (6)

The cube flies straight into Boboibot's face, smacking him in the forehead. At first it seems like it's working; the tray starts to raise itself again... until the cube rebounds from where you threw it and lands back on the tray. You're still stuck.

Boboibot stares blankly at you. You can't tell if that's sympathy or pity.

   Perhaps we should try altering a factor to this experiment.

"What the hell...?"

>Examine the equilateral cuboids.

Ah, Ah know what this is. This is the government enclosure used to store extraterrestrials who have caused chaos, A.K.A. the trouble cube.

>Check the booth closest to the one I was in.

"They're cubes... but what do they do? It'd be unfortunate if we were to remain uninformed. Just like me with that Pokemon game - what's a Zorua?"

Bizu-kun, Boboibot (Cafeteria)

Throw the cube again (3), (4)

Bizu-kun fumbles with the throw a little, but Boboibot just about snatches it out of the air. The tray pops upwards again and Bizu-kun is finally sent out of his predicament... in a grand backflip that launches him behind the counter, landing squarely on his head.

Well, better unstuck than stuck. What’s your move from here?

Edgar, Sierra, Dax (Cafeteria)

You guys see more or less the same thing that Bizu-kun did. They’re... well... cubes. Dax picks up a green one and examines it closely; it’s almost unnaturally free from any scratches or marks. If he had to estimate, this one might be around five pounds? The trays don’t give out any other clues.

Kennifer (Main Lobby)

Kennifer enters the second booth. Or the middle one, to be more specific.

This time, there aren’t any paintings on the wall — though the lamp seems to be working fine and so is the train, merrily chugging around the carpet. The lounge chair is pretty much unchanged, aside from the pillows on it (instead of a red pillow, a green one, and a yellow one from left to right, it’s yellow-red-green).

A small object hangs from the chandelier. Hard to tell what it is from this distance. Kennifer doubts she could reach it without standing on anything.

> Stand on lounge chair and try to reach the object.

>Look at the paintings in each booth.

Y'all can do that while I keep watch jus' in case there's a containment breach.

"Honestly? I'm pretty damn stumped. Does anyone here have any ideas?"

Here's what we do. We make a giant tower and then use it as both a secret base, a clubhouse, and a watchtower just in case the police find us.
