[up][up] Pretty good, though I'd probably temper it with a point that Wanda is admittedly a very complicated and divisive character, and point out that this behavior is coming from Wanda's more zealous fans. If nothing else it'd help avert Justifying Edits.

Like this:

  • While a complicated and controversial character, Wanda Maximoff's more overzealous fans often downplay her more villainous actions, due to a combination of her sympathetic backstory, charisma, and Elizabeth Olsen's good looks. In the Avengers: Age of Ultron, she willing tried to help Ultron kill the Avengers before turning to the side of good due to disgust with Ultron's plan. However, while she does join the heroes, a lot of fans like to downplay her misdeeds, such as forcing the Hulk to attack a populated city, with some even trying to claim that Ultron forced her to do it even when there is no evidence of that. This returned with a vengeance when she became the Big Bad in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. A lot of fans like to portray her as the true hero of the movie due her main goal being wanting to reunite with her children. However, this ignores the fact that to achieve this goal, she plans to kill an innocent girl and slaughters anyone in her path.

Or should it just be a new sentence all together like:

In the Avengers: Age of Ultron, she willing tried to help Ultron kill the Avengers before turning to the side of good due to disgust with Ultron's plan. However, this ignores the fact that to achieve this goal, she plans to kill an innocent girl and slaughters anyone in her path. Though, due to her complicated and controversial nature, this tends to be limited to mainly her overzealous fans.

This for Draco in Leather Pants? Rewrite looks good.

I like the first one of the two.

Minor grammar tweak: "In the Avengers: Age of Ultron..." shouldn't have the "the" there.

Strange I thought I already removed that after taking this through the Grammar thread and it being pointed out.

Last night, someone commented out a paragraph on the main page about the canonicity of the old TV shows, with the (rather long) edit reason:

I don't blotting out a whole paragraph here, but...why are we pretending that idiots like Charles Murphy have some say in this? Any "debate" over canonicity is wholly invented by them simply because A) Easy clicks, B) They don't like Marvel TV on a personal level lol. Wikipedia, the MCU wiki, Marvel Entertainment's official website, actors, cast and crew, numerous other creatives within Marvel Studios, have all spoken in favor of canonicity, and that's nothing to say of role reprisals. Unless an OFFICIAL SOURCE deems them non-canon, there is no debate. Any controversy is completely made up by shifty tabloid website with personal states in getting people riled up over it.

I'm not quite sure how to respond to this. I assume a rudeness notifier, to begin with? Beyond that... who is Charles Murphy? (Don't answer that; I don't care.) I know we don't care about other wikis, and I for one certainly don't care about "shifty tabloid website[s]", but I haven't been following whether anyone actually in Marvel has said anything about whether the old shows are or aren't canon. Should we put the paragraph back, or not?

EDIT: I've gone ahead and sent a rudeness notifier. Let's see what response I get.

EDIT 2: I received a response and an apology for the rudeness; and we're currently discussing the matter.

Hey, guys. It's been a while.

Anyway, Timeline.Marvel Cinematic Universe is finally hitting size limits, and material needs to be split up or cut, so I think it's time to bring back an old question: should some or all of the older TV shows be removed from the page? I believe that we could probably drop most of them because:

  • While still not definitively declared non-canon, they've been pretty thoroughly treated as such over the past few years. (Born Again may change things, but it'll be a while until that show comes out.)
  • Outside of the two Agents shows, they don't really refer back to the main MCU.
  • Many of the shows are incomplete, with their later seasons missing from the page. With the Young Adult shows, this was at least partially due to continuity conflicts with Infinity War, but several of the late Netflix seasons were just never added.
Does anyone have any input?

Bringing up an older argument, it seems that Loki used 616 to refer to the "main" MCU universe and abandoned the concept of Sacred Timeline on its entirety. This is three strikes in favor of the concept, so I guess it would be ideal to start to edit entries and use "616" instead of "Sacred Timeline".

Marvel Cinematic Universe has a lot of entry specific examples. I thought pages like that was for franchise wide examples?

I asked about World's Best Warrior MCU examples in the "Is this an example" thread before I remembered about this one. I probably should have asked here. I received one reply there so far, if anyone has something to add, please reply to me there.

I also previously asked about Contrasting Sequel Antagonist MCU examples here and removed a couple of those based on the discussion.
