Sun and Moon has ended, the new series is out (and in continuity with the rest of the series so no reboot) and it doesn't have a known subtile unlike AG, DP, BW, XY, etc. And this project has been dormant for far too long. I think the foundation is mostly finished but no clearance yet. What is needed to be done?
We should wait to see how the new series gets localized before doing anything.
I had a dog-themed avatar before it was cool. The new series' English title should be announced soon.
The newest season's English name has been leaked. It's not 100% confirmed, but it likely will be soon.
We now have our title. Pokémon Journeys.
I had a dog-themed avatar before it was cool. And nice looking title to boot
So, shall we revive this old project?
The only reason it "died" is that we were waiting on the title. So yeah, let's bring out our Max Revive.
I had a dog-themed avatar before it was cool.I think it died because we didn't know what's left to do as well? Sandbox.Pokemon Anime Singular Series reached a point where it expanded a lot, then I didn't know what to add to it further. Also, I wasn't sure if the main article would have to be renamed to Anime.Pokemon The Series (this would also require a lot of moves and stuff). Also, that anime is subtitled Anime.Pokemon Journeys The Series, so IDK, maybe we should make a crowner for making sure we have to use "The Series".

Currently mostly inactive. An incremental game I tested: https://galaxy.click/play/176 (Gods of Incremental)"The Series" (except maybe for Anime.Pokemon The Series as a whole?) is equivalent to "Versions" in the first five game generations; it can safely be dropped for Journeys, but not for the DP though SM animes, because those would conflict with the games.
If we treat the gen 3 anime as Ruby & Sapphire (its retroactive title) rather than Advanced (its title as aired), it would conflict as well.

I had a dog-themed avatar before it was cool. There is a distinct difference between XY (the anime) and X & Y (the games).
But other than the Advanced series, I'm not sure if the title conflicts are that serious.
I think we might be getting ahead of ourselves again.
Obviously, the page will need to be split, but are we treating this as one work with the examples list split by series, or as multiple series outright? (Most subpages could remain unsplit in the former case.)
I had a dog-themed avatar before it was cool. It's like a long running comic book, often rebranded time and time again. The best way to handle the split is to look at Dragon Ball.
Theoretically, the original Dragon Ball manga went from kid Goku's first adventure with Bulma to Goku taking Uub (Kid Buu's reincarnation) for training.
But because the anime split the manga into two series, Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z, it has become more common for fans to treat post-Piccolo saga as its own thing, with no need to watch what happened before. Sure, they're connected overall but it's easier to refer to a specific series than say "Episode 1085" of Pokémon.
On a somewhat related note, Anime.Pokemon Generations needs to be moved to WebAnimation.Pokemon Generations.
So if we're going the Dragon Ball route, it's one series, which contains multiple series within itself?

I had a dog-themed avatar before it was cool.Yes by all accounts considering that Pokémon Journeys made several Continuity Nods to previous series and Sun and Moon brought back Misty and Brock.
The anime is virtually one big story that is divided into separate "standalone" storylines.
Btw, Pokémon Generations has been moved by your request.
This has been on the backburner for a while. We should, at the very least, decide on the location of each page.
I had a dog-themed avatar before it was cool.I honestly should have revived this project a long time ago since this thread started over a year ago. After tonight's episode revitialized my interest in the anime again, I realized that Pokémon Journeys is going to be one year old... and we are sorely behind schedule of updating the sandbox.
I've already created the folder for Journeys and added a few tropes. But now I really need the answer for this question: When will this sandbox be ready for launch and how to launch it?
(Late) We just have to make sure that all the tropes on Pokémon are in there respective sections. There are probaby new examples that have been missed. As for launching it, all we have to do is make pages for each section like create Anime.Pokemon The Orignal Series and then split off the others into their own page in the Anime/ namespace.

Macron's notesTypo; should be Anime.Pokemon The Original Series.
(As I've mentioned offhand before, the distinction between the Kanto/Orange/Johto arcs is purely a dub invention, which is why those three arcs would share a page.)
I had a dog-themed avatar before it was cool. What if we use PokemonTheSeries/ as the namespace? Just an idea.
(Example: PokemonTheSeries.Ruby And Sapphire)
I had a dog-themed avatar before it was cool.It could help distinguish the anime from the rest of the franchise. The only issue would be the original series since it would cover the Kanto, Johto and Orange Island segments while the dub split them into their own series just to make categorization easier. What should we do with the original series namespace then? Once we establish that, the rest should be easy.
It'll look awkward compared to other series (we don't have PrettyCure.Heartcatch or JoJosBizarreAdventure.Vento Aureo, for example). Maybe just leave it in the Anime/ namespace.
Rock'n'roll never dies!Works are not namespaces.
I feel we'll have a better answer to that question in three days or so.
