It also has overlap with Back-to-Back Badasses, but I don't think that's a real concern.

Not that I’m aware of, and it’s rather light on the “friendship” for my liking.

I'd be fine with Judy and Nick being on either page. Alternatively, something from An American Tail could work for predator and prey.

I don't know, SU runs the risk of being Face/Caption since the gems (are they the gems? I only know the barest basics of the show) look similar enough to pass off as human with Amazing Technicolor Population.

A better example might be from Gumball, Foster's Home, Ratchet and Clank...I would upload a photo but I can't find where to do that on the new layout.

I specifically picked a picture of Peridot because green skin has a pretty strong association with alien-ness in popular culture (e.g. Green-Skinned Space Babe and Little Green Men). I could see how the night-time palette could cause some problems with making Steven look technicolor, though.

Thank you, but I discovered it does overlap with Good Taming, Evil Taming, but I would argue that image needs work since it doesn't exactly illustrate taming.

I think any of those will do.

23.1 is probably best. I'm pretty sure the other two overlap with another trope, plus 23.2 is a little bland without a background.
