Wake me up when there is any news of an actual single player game.
And yeah, good for you guys. Enjoy.

Optimism is a duty.I gotta admit I do like how the game being set very early in the series timeline allows us to explore the culture of pre-war America in much closer detail and see how it affected the post-war world's development. Hearing Roger Maxson's firsthand descriptions of what he wants the Brotherhood to stand for, seeing all these new bits of pre-war media, watching how the war's survivors react to the aftermath... As a huge lore nerd and college history major this is the kind of stuff I live for.
Sure. I just wanted to enjoy all that without being forced to play in multiplayer.

Anyway it looks like the 14mm/12.7mm pistol is also gonna make a return in the next expansion, or rather an experimental model of it that can be retrofitted for energy or elemental damage, with appropriate changes in ammunition type. Unfortunately it seems they’re changing it to 10mm ammo by default to avoid adding even more ammo types to the game’s already gigantic list.
Other standouts include:
- A new Brotherhood armor set that leans a little into their old “medieval knight” visual aesthetic, which was more or less abandoned after the first game (they kept the terminology and all, sure, but that medieval scroll that serves as their bunker’s map screen and their “techno-religious” characterization never really comes up again lol)
- A new rocket launcher that can be converted to plasma, cryo, or napalm
- A new “plasma sword” that resembles a cross between a ripper and a lightsaber
- Buildable interior cells for your base in the form of underground bunkers
- Possibly advancing the game’s timeframe again, like the Wastelanders expansion did.
All the new weapons seem to be from an experimental weapons cache the brotherhood looted on their way into Appalachia. They also tie into the story: the Paladin in charge gave the settlers she was trying to save access to the weapons in violation of her orders and the Brotherhood’s standard operating procedures; in the chaos following the failed defense the raiders stole them and your first mission after joining up is to recover them.

H Ave they changed the ammo trading computer to allow you to trade more than a few bullets at a time yet
Say to the others who did not follow through You're still our brothers, and we will fight for youNot to my knowledge, unfortunately
they put in an amazing feature and kept it garbage -_-
Say to the others who did not follow through You're still our brothers, and we will fight for youI can never find a consistent and dependable partner. Why can we only have one active camp-mate at a time again?
Say to the others who did not follow through You're still our brothers, and we will fight for youSo lots of new features since the last post like half a year ago:
- Steel Dawn came out and was considered "really good but too short"
- "Daily Ops" added some more reason to play consistently
- "Shelters" launched, buildable interior cells for your Camp that allow much more freedom of construction with a significantly higher item limit
- "Camp Slots" are either out now or coming next patch, forget which; essentially allows you to build multiple Camps in different locations (though you can only have one loaded in the game world at once)
- Perk loadouts are finally coming in the next patch along with SPECIAL loadouts
- Vault Raids might be coming back soon after heavy reworking to make them actually fun and functional
And the thing I'm interested in — Season 4, continuing our looks at pre-war media! This time we're coming back to Armor Ace and the Power Patrol for "Cold Steel".◊ This one actually gives us a bit of story in the form of a little three-panel comic◊, and it seems to be going hard on the "propaganda for pre-war children" style: the villains this time are a group of rogue Canadian robots called the "Yukon Five", whose dastardly crime is resisting the American "liberation" forces. Armor Ace also gets two token Inuit sidekicks ("Icebreaker" and "Double-Tap") to show the kids that not all Canadians are freedom-hating commie rebels.

So yet another piece of wreckage?
Not sure what you mean by that. The game's been on a slow drip of genuine improvement ala No Man's Sky; still a long way to go and I understand why people are still bitter but it's far, far from the travesty it was on launch. I still haven't really dived back in yet but from what I hear it's rapidly approaching the point where I might enjoy doing that.

Looks pretty cool. Can't wait to play it.
I can't say goodbye to yesterday…Well, I started playing this again after I Rage Quit when it first came out.
Now I've played about a hundred hours in a week.
What a difference that Settlers and the Brotherhood. You know, people, make.
