Scrooge -

"Comfort?" Scrooge almost choked on Mystique's word, outraged at the implied dismiss of all of his work... No, his entire life. This wouldn't go unconfronted. "Is a life of comfort a childhood spent in misery and having to clean shoes and sell peat just to afford ways of surviving? I'll have you know I left my family home for America at thirteen!" Memories flooded trough his head as he tought about his past, rekindling the passion in his words.

"And you know what's the first thing I did there? I discovered a wrecked riverboat that has been left undisturbed for thirty years while avoiding being offed by a bunch of pirates. After that, even as I traveled all over the United States looking for fortune, I cannot remember even a week where some crooks or cheats didn't try to rob me. A few even suceeded!" His brow futhered and his temper rase up again as the memories of his various enemies came back. The last part of his speech almost sounded as if he was talking trough an invicible megaphone.

"It took me sixteen years in the mines and the cattle wars of the old frontier before I had a stable amount of money! By the time I saw my family again, I was thirty, for God's sake! But even then, I didn't stop working until I earned the title of richest man in the world! Go ahead, call me a cold-hearted tightwad, a heartless tycoon or even a friendless miser who has only riches to keep me company, but never even think I had it easy. I made my fortune by being tougher than the toughies and smarter than the smarties." The last part was spoken as loud as he could, just to ensure that everyone heard it. "And by always making it square."

After he said his part, it seemed almost like steam actually came out of his head as he calmed down. "Also, have you looked at some of us? If the laughing witch whith nary a care for life and the magic wolf didn't scare them off, I doubt your appearance would be that unnerving to them. Still, you're right on some point. People are awful." He spoke the last part while looking at Tanya. She joined the army while she was younger than his grand-nephews and out of her own violition? He wondered if he would have done the same thing in her situation, if it was the only means of crawling his way out of poverty. And she seemed so jaded at such a young age. Feeling sympathetic to the girl, he raised his arm toward her. "Nice to meet you, Lieutenant colonel Tanya. My name is Scrooge McDuck. And be assured that in the world we're making, there will be no need for children to be soldiers to earn a comfortable life."

chaos at the market

"A... Class Change?" chaos cocked his head at the unfamiliar term. Maybe it referred to being a class other than peasantry? He supposed it would make sense that very few among the poorest classes would have the chance for upward mobility in medieval societies like the one the boy seemed to hail from. "What you saw me do just now was an ability I was born with, so I guess you could call it a 'special skill'. What's a Class Change?"

Siluca

Three days was not a very long time, though if Tanya had spent most of those days flying - with magic not even Siluca was familiar with - the Fire Nation must have spanned a large territory indeed.

Tanya was also surprisingly open about the circumstances of her own world, though aside from the powers of flight, nothing about her own capabilities was said. She must have been some kind of mage as well, seeing as she had no obvious weapons on her person, though even still most mages from Siluca’s world did not enter into contract until their late teens. Unlike Siluca, however, Tanya became a soldier of her own volition, when Siluca had no such choice.

Siluca listened as Scrooge explained his life story to correct Mystique’s mistaken assumptions. He was in some ways similar to the exotically dressed soldier. While common bandits, marauders and criminals were no serious threat to Siluca, it was likely different for someone without training or innate magical ability.

In spite of this apparent weakness, Siluca could not help but admire Scrooge’s determination, as she could not herself imagine struggling all those years just for the purpose of attaining wealth, when it had only been a year or two since she left the Academy. At the same time, riches alone could not bring stability and peace to the world - or rather whatever worlds everyone was from. For that, more concrete power was needed, in the form of a population united under its ruler. Still, even if Siluca had doubts, Scrooge at the very least seemed to want to make things for the better.

“That would be ideal,” Siluca said after Scrooge spoke to Tanya. “Still, though it’s not necessary, we would be grateful for any aid you could provide, but I cannot speak for everyone in this city. Many of the others already seem to have gone back already, and at the moment we have no formal leader, nor are we united under any common treaty or organization.”

Mystique (Gwendolyn)—Outside gates.

“That’s not what I meant,” the mutant said to Scrooge with a frown. “ “Did you even wonder why I wasn’t surprised to see a talking duck like the others? I’ve already seen people like you; even met someone from your world. None of them had your luck ”

”Who even asked you to be the richest there is? What’s even the point? You had the privilege to chose your lifestyle all so you could brag you had the biggest bank account,“ she said bitterly to him. “ People like Tanya, like me, we never had that choice.”

Then to Tanya she said, something someone had told to her once. “ The way you talk... You’re very smart for a girl of your age,” she said Tanya with a smile. “If you are in need of a family, of a brotherhood, you’re welcome in ours. No commitments. No attachments. No obligations. Even if it’s just so you will have a roof over your head, and a place you can call home.”

Alalia - Food Market

Alalia smiled warmly at the young boy from where she was crouched, reaching out to pat his head briefly. "Don't worry, you were much more polite about it than others who have thought similar things before. You're a good child."

Noticing the way his eyes avoided her, the dryad mentally sighed and shook her head. Humans were so strange. It was not like she wasn't already covering the parts of her they would get so prudish about, but it seemed even then it was not enough at times. "The body is not something one should be ashamed or scared of." She told him, standing up finally. "It is simply a natural part of life."

Seeing that he wasn't entirely comfortable around her, and had now focused on chaos, Alalia took her leave; Walking off to continue looking around. Soon, she came across the newly created garden left by Amaterasu; Made obvious by the magic still lingering. Pausing for a moment, the dryad began to think. Wandering in, she found herself a largely bare patch of grass within it. Drawing on her mana, she found it had replenished at least enough for this. Calling on her magic, she lifted her hand and began summoning a World Tree. Bolstered by the wolf's lingering magic, it was a little less of a strain for her to do so; Feeling the moment it connected back to her home. The tree burst from the soil and sprouted upwards at a rapid pace, filling the area in the garden with magic that furthered helped the plants grow. It would also give her another convenient boost in power and area, should it be needed.

Smiling, Alalia pushed the tiredness aside and continued on on her wandering.

Naga - Adventurer's Guild Hall

"Why of course, people often say I'm full of it!" Naga proudly proclaimed to her favorite village person. "Now don't let me bother you, you just go do your... cooking things."

She laughed giddily, and then ran all the way back down the stairs to the ground floor so she could shove another crab cake into her mouth with unparalleled efficiency.

"As for cleaning this place up..." she muttered through a mouthful of crab.

Child Soldier Shenanigans

Pausing ever so slightly as the people before her seemed to be even more soft-hearted than she had imagined in her head, the littlest soldier couldn't help but give a nod. Still, their words seemed to be more than lip service and she knew acting when she saw it so the thought of settling down in the city only solidified in her head. To make the most out of a bad situation was something she was good at and this wasn't all that negative compared to some of the other hypothetical scenarios she formulated mentally. Yes, here was a good starting point.

"I'll hold you to your promises then. It's much too late for me to lay down my arms for the moment though it is enough to have a choice in where I should choose to wield it. I'll be in your services for now then... though other children should be able to earn their freedom of youthful follies I suppose. We'll They are the future, but there is no need to rush them for now."

Wistfulness coiled through her words as she thought of the more idyllic and thus rarer peaceful periods of her postings where she was sent to civilian sectors away from the hotbeds of violence, where the civilians went about their lives and the young were free to play and frolic as they wanted. How good it would be if people were able to maintain such a peace instead of waging war on each other.

"The best way to foster peace would be the ability to hold this territory and push back any offenders as well as a set of ironclad rules to prevent social disorder. Both will require a consolidation of power and a sense of trustworthiness that you are people who should be listened to. The defense of their lives probably garnered quite a bit of loyalty there though so we're on the right track as of this particular moment in time. My suggestion would be to find someone of sufficient charisma and intelligence to act as a spokesperson, a face on which one would be able to relate to and thus lend their ears and heart."

Peering at Mystique, the young girl sighed before giving a self-pitying smile. "Many have told me that... the sharpness helps to keep me alive. The negative part of such is that people tend to be thrown off balance by my behavior so it's somewhat of a double-edged sword as it were."

The offer of a 'family' was something that gave even more pause, parsing the word to try to figure out if there was any hidden meanings. Organizations that fostered loyalty between its members tended to use such terminology and the fact that the knightess was associating with someone who had a distinctly yakuza-esque appearance (the guy looked mighty familiar in fact) was something to be wary of. "I'll think on it. I do appreciate the offer though." Reaching out for a handshake, Tanya Degtyaryov gave a slight smile. Things were off with a good start.

Villager Boy

"You don't know what a Class Change is?" Blinking back in shock at the fact that the eccentrically dressed man of probable high birth (he looked like he never did an honest day's work in his life), the villager put a hand under his chin before assuming a deep thinking expression with furrowed brows and a harsh grimace.

"It's... something that people do when they have enough fighting experience to get new skills. Old Bran was lucky enough to build up his skill so that he could become a Soldier after praying at the Mila Statue... but he died holding off the Fire Nation. I want to go fight too but Ma said that I'm too young and I won't be able to do much." The anger writ on his face all but melted when Alalia had chosen to leave because of him, the boy panicked before looking at chaos with doleful eyes. "...Am I a bad person, mister?"

Guild Hall

"...Too much energy in her." Wendolyn muttered as she saw her employer run back down all those flights of stares before staring at the large and finely detailed women statues with an inquiring eye. "But yes, I believe I can do something with this..." Chuckling lowly under her breath, the villager crossed arms together before letting loose the laugh that had been building up after the power was entrusted to her. "Kuhuhuhu...ahahahahhaha!~"

Time Flies By

The Frontiers would continue its existence much like many other worlds of open terrain, the skies overhead changing from a bright but breezy morning to that of a strongly shining afternoon that rained down plentiful sunshine over all that its light could reach before the glowing orb in the sky slowly but steadily descended towards the west to cast the reddish gold colors of dusk on the world. Those who looked up into the sky would find that there were two moons- one large one tinted an emerald green hue with its smaller partner a crescent of silvery blue tint.

The distant sounds of what appeared to be howls could be heard in the far distance of the northern woods, much akin to that of either dogs or wolves while crickets began their chirping while unseen in the grasses. The Fire Nation camp and ship meanwhile would begin lighting up their fires for the upcoming night at almost the same time as the villager refugees, with human populace synchronizing together in an instinctive need for light and warmth to ward off the chill of night.

Kaga - Final Preperation

"Thats kind of something I figured the two of you could handle if I brought you along, but if you want to just go for the ones already on the ship how are we going to get you aboard?" Kaga querried, before turning her attention to M16, "I can not say that I am, I am a member of the navy, not the army.... and I can't exactly ask the Empress as she is not here" she responded to her with a sigh.

"Unless either of the two of you cant handle getting aboard once the fun starts, we need to move soon I am running on a strict time limit"

M16A1 - The Plan

"What this means is that as far as distractions go, I have us covered. I'm all for getting this show on the road," M16 remarked, closing her box once more. "I'll get those four of us set up so they can start shelling the camp when we need things to start getting loud. As for getting on the damned ship, I'll stick with you and we can climb on when we need to."

She tilted her neck left and right as if cracking it, then clenched her hands into fists and held them up in front of her. "These guys won't know what hit them."

Time Flies By - Giovanni

Many hours had passed since Giovanni left back into the city. By the time he returned to the hideous concrete building, the moon(s) were starting to become visible in the sky. Giovanni approached the entrance to his hideout, with a filthy duffel bag slung over his shoulder and a bird cage behind his hand. A pigeon stood inside the birdcage Giovanni was carrying, keeping its footing while Giovanni walked to his building. Nidoqueen followed behind him, carrying two big suitcases in both of her arms.

Outside the entrance, Rhydon had made great progress in cleaning up the abandoned office. A huge pile of trash and rubble stood in the middle of the street, the efforts of Rhydon's work to clean up the interior.

As Giovanni and Nidoqueen approached the group, one of the former Fire Nation soldiers waved him over.

"Hey! Hey... Umm... I, uhh, I don't know your—"

"Call me Giovanni. I found a lot of useful things while I was out. Get your buddies assembled."

The dozen or so men working under Giovanni poured into the ugly building's foyer as Giovanni entered. As the Rocket Boss scanned over the young fighters, he quickly noticed the sour expressions on their faces. They must have been hungry. And bored. And possibly regretting signing up with him in the first place. That would have to be fixed, fast.

"Nidoqueen, show them what I've got," Giovanni said, giving a stern look to his Pokémon.

Nidoqueen set down the two big suitcases and opened them to show what was inside. Leather jackets, leather boots, and skinny jeans were clumped into big mounds inside, more than enough clothes for the men under Giovanni's command.

"I realized you might not be popular around town, so I got you some new clothes. Disguises, you could say. You've clearly been missing some meals, so I'm pretty sure these will fit you."

The Fire Nation men looked over the clothes, and quietly and uniformly agreed that they would only wear trousers that tight because there was no alternative.

"I also found this ugly Pidgey while I was out," Giovanni said, referring to the caged pigeon he brought inside. "My guess, is that it's a messenger Pidgey. Building a messenger system with these birds would be useful... In establishing our group as a force for good in the city. Anyways, that's all I've got for now. You boys can leave now. Go find something to eat or whatever you need to do. Those villagers shouldn't recognize you if you wear the clothes I've provided, so you should be free to roam the city as you please."

Giovanni started to head deeper inside the building, while his men got dressed into new clothes. Then, the spiky-haired Fire Nation soldier approached Giovanni, tapping on his shoulder before he could head deeper inside. "So, what's in the bag?" he asked.

"Nothing you need to worry about, right now."

Giovanni headed further into the interior of his building, and walked down the halls into a quiet back room where there were no windows. He set the duffel bag onto the floor, and gently took a tall painting of a mysterious woman and set it up against the wall. He stared at the painting intently, then returned back to assess his men while they left the building.

Hiccup and Toothless - Time Flies

When Hiccup asked for help from the refugees, most were scared, however, there were some eager to join. Some as thanks for helping fight off the invaders, and others thinking that if they had someone like a 'Wyvern Lord' on their side, they are safe from harm. He tried telling them Toothless is a dragon, but for some reason they don't looked convened.

As the day went on Hiccup started up the city's defense. First thing he did was the controlled burn idea where he rode Toothless around and burned the outside of the city, but leaving enough room to farm if need be. Although admittedly, he did not know much about agriculture, as his village relied on livestock and fish for food, as it was too cold to grow anything edible. So he'll just leave that up to the ones who do know about farming, the wolf and the woman with the revealing attire looking like good candidates.

After the arson, the next step was gathering materials for a forge. Thankfully, the Komodo rhino and Toothless proved much help for that, pushing back lumber to the city and after some time, smelts down some of the armor the Fire Nation troops had into a more sleek looking design, as well as making proper weapons. Swords, axes, bows, arrows, and shields, they had the equipment, they just needed the training.

The woodcutters of the group helped Hiccup make large crossbows and net shooters mounted on the wall for the next time they are attacked, and Hiccup does his best to show them the basics of combat, but around this time he really misses Astrid and wishes she was here doing that.

When night came, Hiccup was flying back to the wall from his Bluetail friends, warning them about the Fire Nation and telling them that his walls can provide them shelter if they need it. That's when he looks up at the alien night sky and it's two moons. Back home, he at times looked up at the stars and admired the wonders above. The wonders where still there, but it also reminded him about how far away from home he was.

"So, you think we'll ever get back home?" He asked the dragon. Toothless replied with a confuse wine, as if questioning what he meant by that.

"It's just that, we don't know how long we'll be here and even if we get back, everyone will have moved on without us. Maybe Astrid will find someone else-OW!"

As he said that, Toothless swiftly moved the side of his head to slap him with his head spines, as his way to tell him to snap out of it.

"Yea, you're right. I need to focus on the here and now," and with that, the two fly over the more fortified wall and land near the forge. Some are using it for warmth, while others are practicing their archery on some human sized and shaped dummies he found in a building that's storing clothes. One of them was riding around on the Komodo rhino, trying to get the hang of it.

"So, how are you all holding up?"

It's yo boi, along for the ride.

Guzma looked at the mortar, eyeing it hungrily. "Got an idea. How's 'bout me and my team help out with the mortar to wreck shit while you two go down there and got on the boat. Besides, Hiccup already passed me a spyglass so I can actually aim. Just show me how to use this thing and what signal to look out for 'n' I'm all set!"

Camp

-Wulfrik looks up into the night sky in wonder. Though he has not heard the voices of the gods for quite some time now, the vision of the green moon of magic outshining its blue sister in the night sky is enough of a portent to convince him he is doing the work of the Ruinous Powers. Let the others go and find these "benders" who are barely worth keeping as firelighters and certainly not as enemies, tonight he has a higher purpose. Wolves howl in the distance, a doubly comforting sound to those of the harsh Norscan climate, for at least they'll not want for food.-

Shrine Gate

Char had finished hauling the tank into the area he considered his new home by this point in time, the twin moons a rather silent reminder that he was no longer in his actual home. Reflecting on the events that had already rapidly happened within the day, he gazed upward and remembered when he tried to drop objects from space on to earth.

Of course he had another realization when he looked around.

"I never told that person where to go for the meeting...and I never learned where I should go to meet him. Crap."

Kaga - It Begins

"Actualy, not unnecessary, it is going to be the proof to some claims" Kaga responds, before she drives her arm down to begin launching aircraft, totaling 18 this time, 3 groups of 6. "Please try to keep up" she called out, and then began to rapidly descend the cliff face, using the distraction of them setting up for the night to make her way to the river below.

M16A1 - With Kaga and Guzma

M16 paused a moment as if considering Guzma's words. The pair of dummies she had sent out to take the Fire Nation soldier away returned, joining the other two in flanking her.

"You know what, screw it, I'm not gonna be able to use it from on the ship itself anyway," she took the case by the strap and shoved it into Guzma's arms, the thing weighing at least a few dozen pounds despite how casually she had carried it. One of the dummies did the same thing, giving him a second case. "The three of them will show you how to work that thing, and the two of us won't have to lug it around in the water. Just know that if you don't pay attention or do anything to it, I'm not going to be happy. And I don't have such good trigger discipline when I'm unhappy."

She and the box-less dummy turned and chased after Kaga, leaving the three other dummies with Guzma.

"Stick with one of us," one of the M16A1 dummies spoke up and told Guzma. "We're in contact with each other so we can coordinate our timing without having to look for signals. Now let's scout out three firing sites so we can set up...."

Meanwhile, the main M16 and her dummy flanked Kaga on other side as they followed her, guns ready in case they ran into trouble.

"So... do that often?" she asked, making idle smalltalk with Kaga. "The head-ripping-off thing?"

Ionia and Aeolia's Flavian Flav - The Site of Future Club
Project manager: the job title that Ionia and Aeolia never expected they'd have to do, but they excelled at it. Kind of.

On Majima's little corner of the world, the streets hadn't yielded much to them, except for a little corner that would soon become their little heaven. It must've been a small speaking hall back when it wasn't dilapidated, enough to fit a couple hundred people, but now it was going to be the home of...

...well, the name of this club was something that the two sisters were arguing about right now, actually.

"Club Achtelnote, naturally, tells people what they're going to be coming here for," Aeolia said, kicking a discarded piece of drywall behind her. Following them slowly was one of their note-headed people, clearly struggling as it tried to operate an instrument it was never meant to play: the broom. It was kind of helping the clean up process, right?

"But sister, none of these people know us! You might as well attach some gibberish at the end for them," Ionia rebutted. "Club Paradies, on the other hand—"

"Will make just as little sense if they don't speak German!" Aeolia gave her sister a little love tap on the head, which would've been given in return if one of the work monkeys they had under them didn't come over.

"Hey, you two," the older fellow said, "Shouldn't we be trying to clear out something better for sleeping?" He put down the set of chairs he had over his shoulder and wiped his brow of sweat.

"It's just fine, friend," Aeolia replied, "there's plenty of chairs for people to sleep on. We could fit hundreds of people in here if they scrunched up!"

"If you find any chairs with cushions though," Ionia added, "make sure you give them to us. Top brass gets first pick."

The man stared at them incredulously for a moment, before grunting and picking up his stack once again.

It's yo boi, setting up a mortar!

Guzma stumbled a bit upon catching the mortar, but he managed easily carry it with some effort. The gangsta merely scowled at M16's threat. Oh, I'll be careful not to scuff the paint job, he mentally snarked while rolling his eyes. Once the real one and one of the dummies followed after Kaga, he turned to the other three. "Alright, show me how to use this bad boy!" he asked.

Turns out Guzma was a rather quick study with the mortar, despite never handling heavy weaponry more complicated than a blunt object before, easily setting up the weapon, ready to firing. He then used the spyglass he got from Hiccup to help the three dummies to look for potential targets to fire at.

Juri, Adventurer's Guild Hall

When Naga decided to Wendolyn up fifteen flights of stairs, Juri took this opportunity to grab two of the crabcakes and begin eating them. She did need some food after that big fight, after all. She didn't really give a damn about most of the other people here, but making sure she herself was fed was a top priority.

Chun-Li, Time Flies By, Shrine Gate

Chun-Li spent the hours doing, among other things, raiding an abandoned store for supplies and obtaining food. Eventually, she had found the Shrine Gate and was currently boiling a large crab in a large pot.

"Hey, Char..." Chun-Li nodded to the red robot-looking thing as she stirred the contents of the pot, making sure the crab wouldn't try to escape its eventual demise...

Char stopped his pondering and looked over at Chun-Li. He still wasn't quite sure what to make of the martial artist, but she didn't exactly seem like the untrustworthy sort so letting her stick around the shrine gate seemed like an acceptable move. Plus having more people around meant more people to guard the gate itself, which was currently the only thing he was focused on getting done.

Ratchet and Clank — all over the place

After his conversation with Char kind of faded away, Ratchet took another look at the tank but decided he had better things to do at the moment, like trying to find his ship. So he started searching the city, using Clank's propellers and rocket boosters to reach the tops of tall buildings and observe the city from there. Somehow he did not encounter any of the other denizens of the city, and he didn't find his ship.
By day's end he found himself at the Shrine gate. Tired and frustrated, he sat down with his back leaning on the gate with nary a word. Clank hopped off his back and sat down beside him.

"Ladies, ladies."

Majima appeared behind the two sisters somewhere, clasping his hands together.

"I appreciate that you're putting thought into the name, and of course, I welcome suggestions. But let's not forget, I'm the one who will be picking the name at the end of the day."

He spread his hands wide. "We can't be picking anything too specific. In a place like this, where we get people from all sorts of worlds, from all walks of life, limiting who we target does us no favors. We need a name that everyone can get behind, that anyone can look at and say "Yes, I want to go there."

"Now. Apparently this "Char" guy wants to meet with me, and now that shit is handled here for the time being, it's about time for the meeting. Tell these people that they're done for the day, get em some food, and show them across the street to the new staffing housing accommodations. Naturally, my lieutenants, you two and Mystique, get dibs on the bigger ones. Make sure the rest are reserved so I have more to give out as I promote and hire new lieutenants. Also, does anyone know where I can actually find this Char guy? No one gave me directions to his place."

Siluca - With Tanya and Others

Siluca could agree with Tanya on her methods for attaining peace, but she did not think the others would be willing to abide by whatever rules were set, as Siluca already had her suspicions. From what she had observed, Char would most likely be the person who the others might be willing to accept in this role, though he seemed to be gaining quite a bit of leverage quickly.

Siluca glanced as Tanya and Mystique shook hands, still wary of Majima’s “Family” even if Mystique herself seemed well-intentioned.

“I would have to speak with my co-inhabitant beforehand, but you are welcome to visit our residence on the northeast end of the city, though it might be a bit hard to find.”

With that, Siluca made a bow, and began to head back into the city, to determine where the villagers had been gathered.

Siluca - During/Post-Timeskip, Log Horizon Building

Despite some of them going off to other locations throughout the city, some of the villagers seemed eager to accompany her back to the Log Horizon building. There might have not been enough separate rooms for all of them, but that that could easily be remedied by locating them to other buildings.

With so many buildings around, Siluca suspected that she would need to start delegating authority for managing the other buildings to other people, though she did not want to play any favorites until she had a good idea who to delegate to.

“Once again, I am glad that you are all alright,” she said to the villagers as they were well off from the main road. “Unfortunately, seeing as we have just arrived, my associate and I have not had much time to gather what’s needed for our survival. We’re all going to need to work together.

“Some of you have seen my abilities in battle, but I can only offer so much protection on my own. I know this is a bit much based on your circumstances, but I need to ask if any of you would be willing to volunteer as a small levy or protection force. Even if the few of us with magical training or powers can easily fend off another Fire Nation attack, it would be better if we had forces on our periphery who could immediately respond or scout out any possible invasions beforehand. Although it might be strange to hear this, I do not entirely trust the intentions of some of the other defenders. Some of them have tried to impress some of the Fire Nation soldiers into their ranks already.”

Siluca left out the fact that she had tried to enlist one or more of them to help train the villagers. These people, who had gone through who knows what, would see her in a much lesser light if they knew that.

“I cannot offer much in the form of payment at the moment, but once things have stabilized I will ensure that you are paid for your services.”

It wasn’t necessary that they volunteer immediately, though to Siluca’s surprise some of them seemed willing.

“I have not had the chance to investigate the buildings nearby, but we should begin sifting through them for supplies,” - and also to determine if any of them would be suitable storehouses. Their height would be an inconvenience, but more goods could be stored in them.

Siluca also thought about going through with Hiccup’s suggestion, but it was not long before the boy and his dragon were burning the forests themselves. The effort no longer seemed necessary on her part.

“It may be a bit dangerous,” Siluca suggested, “but some of us should begin setting up farms towards the edge of the city. We could sustain ourselves off these crabs for the time being, but I don’t know how long it will be before their numbers run thin.”

For the next several hours, Siluca directed the villagers to haul things from the buildings nearby. Within their search, she had very quickly found some stationery she could use - even though there was some back in the Log Horizon Building - to keep track of what was collected.

Surprisingly, they had found some foodstuff that had not rotted away, which they eventually used to cook their lunch a few hours later. From their foraging, it also became apparent that the Log Horizon Building wouldn’t be enough to store everything, so, using some of the fabrics they found, Siluca had the villagers mark some of the more spacious buildings nearby for quick storage, using whatever other orange fabrics or rags they could find.

The few woodsmen in the group had offered to begin cutting down the trees that infested the various buildings nearby, though Siluca specifically asked them not to tear down the one in their headquarters. When that was done, they and some of the previous farmers offered to settle towards the edge of the city to establish their farm plots and lumber outposts. The fact they had little in the way of draft animals would present a problem, though Siluca half-wondered if the few golden birds frolicking about would do.

Once the process of clearing out most of the nearby buildings was done, some of the villagers began to hunt down the crabs strewn throughout the area, before then joining those who had gone towards the forest to hunt game. Siluca had also learned from some of the villagers that a number of small bulb-like and carrot-like creatures, which Siluca hadn’t noticed before, were also edible. Based on all the things that had been gathered, she would have to look through those recipes that chaos had found earlier to make anything that would satisfy these refugees’ tastes, though they were likely better at cooking than she was.

By the end of the day, Siluca and the others had amassed a decent sized inventory, and had begun designating some of the volunteers to watch over the storehouse building(s). She had also begun to examine the various documents within Shiroe’s former office.

From these, she began to get a clearer picture of the situation in Akihabara before she and the others had arrived, particularly in regards to its guilds and their specialties. Even before, there were organizations which resorted to extortion and banditry, though it seemed that these had been mostly weeded out, partly through Shiroe’s maneuvering.

Many of these guilds were dedicated to combat, and while the inventory Siluca had amassed was not short on weapons - either acquired from the Log Horizon Building, its nearby facilities, or those the villagers picked up from the Fire Nation equipment pile - many of the guilds had been based in the city’s central guild hall, which Siluca had seen Naga and possibly others beelining towards. Some of these, particularly the craft-focused ones, seemed based within the city’s Production Building, though last she checked, someone had likely occupied it.

From her busyness, Siluca still did not quite know, aside from the Guild Hall, the Tree, and the Cathedral, where the others had decided to hole up. Siluca needed to visit these locations at some point, though she still needed to secure things here, and she was still wary of any neighboring parties that might decide to attack.

Still however, Siluca had to eat once more. After giving out a yawn and stretching in Shiroe’s former chair, Siluca looked out at the fire and villagers gathered outside. The two moons were quite different from the experience of her own world, but otherwise she did not pay them much mind.

Siluca then descended to join the others.

M16A1 Dummy - With Guzma

Once Guzma had gotten his crash-course in assembling, disassembling, and loading, two of the dummies ran off into the woods to go scout out their own firing sites.

"Between the two of us we can keep these three firing at different angles and directions so they hit different targets," the dummy that remained with Guzma told him. "The other two are going to fire from opposite sides so we're not concentrating everything from one location. Force them to spread out if they try to find us. For now, keep an eye out and let's wait for when everyone's ready to start."

She knelt down so that one mortar was to one side of her, and then another one was between her and Guzma. Her rifle at the ready in case someone wandered too close, she kept watch in the darkness for any incoming lights.

"Those campfires sure are going to make it easy to pick them out at night," she added. "They must not have to deal with modern weaponry in their world, if their tanks were anything to go off of. Poor fucking bastards won't know what hit them."

Ionia and Aeolia, Club No-Name
"That's why Club Paradies would be a perfect name, beca—"

Aeolia went for another light bonk to the head, and whispered "Score: Pianissimo" under her breath for a little extra kick. Aside from the sound of Ionia's noggin being hit being surprisingly loud, nothing should seem out of the ordinary for that.

"I'm sure you have your own ideas, Majima," Aeolia said as her sister rubbed the back of her head, "but yes, that's something that can wait." She turned to the hard working men and women of the As-of-Yet Named Club and announced "That'll be enough work for today, thank you all! Across the street, we already have a number of places for the likes of you to live in during your stay!"

"Make sure you leave a couple for us," Ionia said, "and come back here tomorrow at sunrise. We'll start the day off with a private show for you all, and provide...whatever drinks we can find tonight. For free, even. You all got that?"

Given that they all started to wearily drop what they were doing and head out the door in turn, they must have. Turning back to the owner of this establishment (for the time being), they only had one thing left to do. "...Now, we also spoke to him...and yeah, he didn't tell us, either," Ionia said, "A real misstep. Still, if it's supposed to be about something causing the whole world to explode or whatever, we—"

Then, she paused. A quick conversation in whispers passed, and Ionia had a pretty good idea.

"I've got a pretty good idea," Ionia said. "How about the two of us perform a piece for him? Something loud enough to get his attention anywhere in the city."
