Identity: Ignatius (Anti-Hero)

Abilities:
  • Powers:
    • Flaming Will: Ignatius possesses extraordinary strength, endurance, and stamina as long as his spirit remains unbroken. If this happens, then he will lose these qualities until he recovers.
    • Heat/Flame Manipulation: Ignatius has the ability to increase the temperature of any object as long as he can see it or is in contact with it, up to the point of Spontaneous Combustion. He also has the ability to generate and control flames, though this is also limited by sight and touch range. Additionally, he can literally sear his wounds shut to heal himself using either ability. It doesn't seem to bother him any.
    • Heat Resistance: Even if he were to walk on coals, he would remain unhurt. For perspective, lava is merely "slightly uncomfortable" to him. This also gives him some resistance to plasma attacks, though increased exposure to them will start to burn him slowly.
  • Weaknesses:
    • Pacifist: Due to an incident where a warrior he made a weapon for went berserk and caused untold amounts of destruction, Ignatius only fights if he really must and is reluctant to forge more weapons except in the most dire of situations.
  • Skills:
    • Ultimate Smithing: Ignatius is able to produce weapons of great magical power and legendary quality, but it requires him to be sequestered away in his forge for a long time before one such weapon is produced.
    • Weapon Mastery: By simply observing a weapon for some time, Ignatius is able to determine how to make it and use it. This does not apply to high-tech weapons.
  • Equipment:
    • Abandoned Forge: This forge has sat unused for some time, but it's still there, with ample stores of smithing supplies. This forge is at the heart of Mount Etna in Sicily.

Appearance: Ignatius appears as a (5 ft. tall, 130 lbs.) man in his fifties with short graying brown hair, a slightly scruffy beard, and brown eyes. He wears a white sleeveless calf-length tunic with a red sash to serve as his belt and leather sandals.
Personality: He's not one to draw attention to himself, and tends towards observing events rather than participating. However, occasionally things happen that he feels that he needs to involve himself in. He's quick to warn about the dangers of bloodlust and wars. His passion for smithing has dimmed considerably since the berserker warrior incident, and his main concern now is to lead a quiet life.
Background:
  • Ignatius is a fire spirit once acclaimed for his smithing skills, but an incident occurred where a warrior he made a weapon for went mad with the power that the weapon gave him and started carving up the countryside.
  • After killing the mad warrior, he had a fall from grace and resolved never to fight if he could help it and to stop forging more weapons to prevent the same incident from happening again.
  • He has recently traveled to Easton after hearing of the cheap housing prices. He arrived and immediately realized exactly why the housing was so cheap due to the sheer madness happening there every day. However, he is still determined to lead a quiet life like he has been doing so far. This is bound to be an exercise in futility.

  • Identity: Absalom, The Fourth Demon Lord. Also known as Axel Adams of the technology and utility provider AxelTech.
  • Abilities:
    • Hellfire Generation: As a demon lord, Absalom has the ability to create and control soul-searing, inextinguishable flames ranging from a lick barely enough to light a cigar to a wall of crimson heat the height of a skyscraper. While most of his hellfire abilities are limited in both his suppressed and human forms, he is still a formidable foe in whatever body he inhabits.
    • Enhanced Strength: Absalom's sheer striking power is uninhibited even in his human state. As such, he has enough latent strength to chuck a truck several blocks away and to stop a train in its tracks. The only issue he has is with suppressing this power, as he is prone to occasional slips in his human form that reveal his true abilities. His strength also extends to his legs, allowing for Flash Step manoeuvres carefully disguised by a burst of blackened smoke for the illusion of teleportation.
    • Shapeshifting: While imperfect, Absalom can replicate the physical form of almost any creatures, ranging from rodents to wild beasts to humans. To repeat, this is imperfect; any form he shifts into tends to have a larger than average stature, a disturbingly pale complexion, unnaturally immaculate features, and an odd glint of red that occasionally manifests in the very backs of their retinas. As of late, Absalom's new strategy has caused him to reside primarily in the form of his human avatar, Axel Adams – and as such he cannot usually find opportunity to shift into anything else on risk of suspicion.
    • Demonic Seals: Absalom's role as the Fourth Demon Lord grants him certain privileges over his lesser kind. As such, he has a knowledge of ritualistic seals that give him access to several effects on both the environment and people that they are drawn upon. Such seals include instantaneous object transportation (performed by temporarily dragging it through Hell), trigger-based object intangibility and/or invisibility, suppression and manifestation of demonic traits in both his kin and in common folk (allowing him to disguise his demonic subordinates as humans and transmogrify humans into demons) and a few other specific effects. All seals require physical contact and a demonic heritage to activate and deactivate. Absalom's human form, Axel Adams, has several seals painted onto his skin to allow for enhanced healing and the negation of the need for external sustenance such as food, water, or air.
  • Equipment:
    • The Meat Kleiver: An organically constructed blade 6 foot in length, with a deceptively sharp edge and ambiguous sentience. Has the ability to be parasitically latched onto its wielders outer layers of skin to be instantly summoned, and can return to its user's grip when knocked out of their hands. Can be set aflame via hellfire, to which it will scream in agony, and whispers spiteful things in a wicked tongue to whomever picks it up.
  • Appearance:
    • As Axel Adams: [1]
    • As Absalom (Suppressed): [2]
    • As Absalom (The Fourth Demon Lord): [3]
  • Personality: Both as Axel and Absalom, the Fourth Demon Lord is enthusiastic in his endeavours, even if he appears mostly hands-off most of the time. Whether it be unleashing a horde of his supernatural subordinates or opening a new business location purely as a publicity stunt, Axel seems to be a bit of a wildcard that goes with the flow, although in actuality there is usually a wicked ulterior motive disguised within his seemingly unconnected decisions that even the other demon lords have grown to respect. He prefers to be charming and amicable to get what he likes, and usually isn't afraid to suck up to the more pretentious of folk if it means achieving his goals (although he will undoubtedly punish them for such insubordination to a demon lord later on). Calculative, cautious, and surprisingly fair, Axel in his human form is overall easy to overlook and assume trustworthy despite the warning signs, but as the Fourth Demon Lord Absalom's awful true form is much more representative of his twisted, ruthless, and occasionally sadistic mind.
  • Background: The individual simply known as 'Axel Adams' has shown up many a time before in Easton and other surrounding cities, claiming to be the latest in a long line of philanthropists and technology providers that is simply trying to 'claim his birthright'. He has performed many so-called 'public experiments' in the past – providing many different miraculous prototypes for testing in families and small corporations under the guise of building up his business. After a period of inactivity lasting around a decade, Axel Adams has appeared once more in the media, seemingly in response to the growing talk surrounding Dexter Donovan – explaining with great enthusiasm his plans to construct a building of his own naught but a mere block away from the super-genius' own business tower. Apparently expressing a want to be in cahoots with Donovan for business purposes in the reconstruction of the world following the daeva catastrophes, Axel's true motives are hidden and unclear as of now, and any attempts to research his background will only result in a mysterious blank page of missing information.

Identity: Jake Arazed, Former spy, Chaotic Good. Powers: Nigh on invincible. Tentacles grow out of his back. Weaknesses: Sometimes goes crazy, because an eldritch thing possessed him when he was a spy. Cannot be exposed to direct sunlight. Has really weird biology, so is technically sterile. Appearance: Tallish. Wears trenchcoat and slacks. Darkish-olive skin tone. Personality: Nerdy nice guy. Likes: Books, RPG video games, TV Tropes and Chuck Jones. Dislikes: His possession, people who don't know that the main character of Doctor Who is not named Doctor Who, people who do crimes, and President Donald Trump. Background: Used to work as a spy for MI 7 (even more secret than MI 6). Was possessed by an alien who sometimes takes full control of his body and sounds like Christopher Walken.

  • Identity: Anson Black, Villain, no secret identity.
  • Abilities:
    • Abnormal Physiology: Despite being mostly humanoid, Anson shares traits from a wide variety of snakes, including venomous fangs, an unnaturally flexible body and a distinct lack of vertebrae (allowing him to stretch and warp his form as well as squeeze through impossibly tight spaces), reptilian eyes and a forked tongue, topped with a regular period of shedding skin, to which his body is temporarily restored and relieved of its hunger. He can stand upright no matter what angle he is on, and has a collapsible neck-hood for intimidation purposes. When injured, he 'leaks' baby snakes instead of blood, and if a body part is dismembered larger serpents will flow out of each exit wound to attempt to pull the detached arm/leg/etc back into place. His true form is that of an albino viper (approx. 12 ft in length) with a distinctly decayed and rotting appearance.
    • Unobserved Snake Summoning: As long as not in direct line of sight of any creatures, Anson can produce serpents from seemingly nowhere at will, either from his clothing for ready access of from the immediate environment. There doesn't need to be a space large enough to contain the entire snake in the first place; just enough so its head will be hidden – as such, even if the object blocking the view is mere inches across, Anson's serpents can slither out nonetheless. Due to being part snake himself, Anson also abides by this rule, constantly flickering in and out of existence and bending conventional rules of spacetime if it means getting around quicker. In fact, nearly everything snake related requires an initial blockage of view from any living beings in the area in order for him to be able to use his abilities, including his venomous fangs, slitted eyes, and collapsible neck-hood. Anson's army is relatively tiny in comparison to Nathrach and Aileana's, however he will be very quickly expanding it.
    • Hypnotic Suggestion: With a combination of a soft-spoken tone and an intense, disorienting gaze, Anson can implant humans and animals alike with basic commands as long as they aren't expecting it or actively fighting against it. He mostly uses this to draw in prey, or communicate with snakes both subject to him and ones not under his control.
  • Appearance: 6'7. Skin is under gradual decay, slowly falling off in chunks and disintegrating into the air. Also pictured is his true form; currently 12 foot in length and rapidly growing with each meal.
  • Personality: Though outwardly appearing calm, logically driven, and level-minded, Anson's transformation into another victim of the Daileass Paradox has left him a desperate, anxious mess confused as to the sheer amount of irrationality and contradiction fueling both his new existence and new functionality. Any new developments he discovers regarding his form he jots down in an attempt to justify it as indeed logically possible, even if it is written in pure improvisation. He arguably has symptoms of OCD, potentially either brought about or simply amplified from the trauma of his transformation, causing his practices to become engraved in his behaviour even if he can't quite remember why he's doing it in the first place other than that it brings him a sensation of relief and satisfaction. His knack for tidiness suffers especially from this as a result, and his decaying, incomplete form is constant reminder and struggle for him each and every day, and he is desperate to save himself from a slow and meaningless death by any means necessary. His obsession with order and achieving a new life is driving him further into the spiral of insanity, and the effects of the unstable rift fueling him only seem to worsen over time.
  • Background:
    • Anson Black was originally a respected surgeon, albeit not one objectively liked as much due to his monotonous, all-business approach and apparent lack of empathy and ability to read the atmosphere of a situation. He expressed an unhealthy interest in the details of the human body, even in the middle of operating, causing his assistants understandable concern for his mental health as more and more of them swear they hear him muttering under his breath about 'potential alterations' to his current patient's body. Eventually, his apparent alternative intentions towards his patients grew too much, and he was inelegantly sacked and replaced with a much more compassionate and arguably professional doctor. Anson was, as would be expected, furious.
    • At least, he wanted to be. And perhaps he was, inside. But it soon became apparent that he didn't know how to express his frustration. He locked himself in his apartment in a sulk, pulling any and all equipment he owned into the main room to convert it into a private research laboratory. He became convinced that there was something outwardly wrong with him that people took offense to, and began to explore the realms of body alterations and genetic changes. All things that soon became moot to him, as it was then that reality shuddered, he bore witness to an incomprehensible glimpse of a pale, twin-toothed beast, and everything went black.
    • Anson awoke, numb and confused, laying prone on his apartment floor. A strange feeling of detachment that he couldn't quite pinpoint was upon him, as well as an overall essence of looming death hanging over him. But that was nothing compared to the kaleidoscopic, mind-numbing phenomenon swirling like a torrent in front of him. A rift in existence itself, caused by a side effect of Aileana removing and replacing Daileaas' sword from its place. Justifiably fearful and anxious, Anson made to escape his room, only to catch his appearance as he was desperately trying to unlock his door.
    • Reptillian, crimson eyes. Knife-like fangs. Pallid complexion. Bleached hair and overall lack of pigmentation. Repulsively pocked skin and clotted wounds. But perhaps the thing that caught his attention the most was the large, decayed serpent coiling around him, vanishing into his clothing only to reappear elsewhere on his body in a disorienting fashion.
    • Aileana perhaps a felt a shudder of her own. But something at the source means she is unable to directly transport to the epicenter of the unknown anomaly. And considering how cautious she had to be last time with this type of paradox, she may need some assistants. Who knows? There may even be more of them, scattered about...

[up][up]Couple things. One: I can hardly read your formatting. Look at the other sign-ups here as an example. Bullet points can be done with the asterisk * symbol. Two: There's very little actual info there. Again, look at other sign-ups. I expect a lot more detail in terms of abilities (e.g. how long/numerous are the tentacles, what happens if he is exposed to sunlight, etc.)

So as it stands, you are not accepted.

[up]As usual Enir, you are accepted.

What is so amusing about this? Why do you take lives? How can you forget?

Identity: The Phantasmic Lurker/Wilma Printer (Anti-Hero)

Abilities:
  • Powers:
    • Dream Eater/Human Hybrid: This ability allows the Lurker to move very fast under cover of darkness/when not seen, become invisible, and grants it telepathy. The telepathy broadcasts its thoughts to everyone in its vicinity. If it wants to "talk" with specific people, it has to be able to see them. The communication works regardless of language because it is a burst of imagery and feelings, not words.
    • 404 User Not Found: All "bonded" weapons (weapons that rely on "worthiness," genetic/other scans, etc. to determine if a person can wield it) will malfunction and reject the user if the user attempts to hurt the Lurker, becoming inert. A way to prevent this from happening is to attack the Lurker indirectly.
    • Tentacle Braids: Coming out of its hood are two girlish braids, each easily as thick and long as an arm. Upon closer inspection, they are made up of small oily tentacles which are constantly squirming and writhing. In the braids' default state they are mostly used as prehensile limbs, though they can also be unraveled for use as Combat Tentacles with sharp tips.
    • Regeneration: When the coat is damaged, thread-like shadows sprout from the rest of the black cloth and pull it back together. Chopping off a braid will just result in it sprouting another. There appears to be nothing inside the coat. Nothing but a blank void. Strangely enough, it appears to be able to feel pain.
    • Gibberish: The Lurker has the ability to make nearby words, spoken and written, appear/sound like gibberish. Hand signs will look like random flailing. It also has the ability to scramble radio/comm. frequencies and disrupt cell phone reception.
  • Equipment:
    • The Phantasmic Tome: This is the book that Wilma was holding when she was half-erased and subsequently transformed into a Dream Eater. Its title has been lost. This appears as an ordinary book, bound in black-dyed leather, though a little on the thick side. When opened, it appears to contain nothing but ever-shifting sentences of nonsense that slowly leak out into the air. The Lurker is able to use this to summon shadowy, twisted versions of legendary heroes and items as constructs. Only the Lurker can understand what is written in it, and has been observed to be very protective of this strange book.
      • Because this book possesses "legendary" traits (it survived the erasing of the universe and belongs to an Urban Legend) and at the same time does not (nobody is around in its original timeline to tell and spread its story), the resulting paradox is able to bypass the formidable racial traits of Weaponmasters.

Appearance: The Lurker is a 5 ft. tall hooded longcoat made of a shadowy fabric. It trails on the ground, conceals its wearer's hands with long sleeves, and nothing can be seen in the inky blackness of the hood save for a pair of black rectangular wire-rimmed glasses and two black braids made of small tentacles. It is constantly clutching a strange black book as if it were a lifeline.
Personality: The Lurker is best described as "mysterious." It has been observed hanging around the streets of Easton after dark, looking forlorn. Occasionally, it will scrawl cryptic warnings on walls. Some common messages include "THE END IS NIGH," "BEWARE THE VOID," "HE IS COMING," "RUN," and for some strange reason, "EVICTION NOTICE." It flees whenever it is approached and does not speak, instead preferring to communicate through its telepathy.
Background:
  • In a certain Bad Future, the Anti-Creator managed to defeat all of the heroes of Earth (and elsewhere), along with committing other horrors that shall not be described here. All of Earth's brave defenders were erased, except for Wilma, who only got half-erased to serve as a hideous example to those who would defy the Anti-Creator. She refused to believe that it had happened, but as she laid eyes on the cold void, her belief and dreams were abruptly shattered, which made her into a Dream Eater. The transformation negated her previous powers and granted her new ones that made a mockery of what she once stood for, however, the dregs of her old powers made her immune to imagination, the bane of the Dream Eaters.
  • What was left of Wilma floated apathetically through the nothingness around her, until some kind of recently made tear in the fabric of reality swallowed her up and rudely dumped her back into the streets of Easton. Wandering around in a daze and not quite right in her mind, she started writing messages on the walls in an attempt to warn the people of Easton of what was to come.
  • The Phantasmic Lurker is a relatively new Urban Legend in Easton, and next to nothing is known about it except that it scrawls ominous graffiti on walls and flees if approached. The primary question asked by investigators in Easton is, "Is it trying to warn us of some hidden threat?" The question remains unanswered for now...

...

Eh, #$&% it. Copy-paste transfer it is.

  • Identity: Ebony Blackburn, Hero, no secret identity.note
  • Powers:
    • Telekinesis: The classic 'not touching can't get mad' schtick. Ebony has a tremendous potential for psychic power, and it is clear that her current aversion to using it hasn't always been the case judging by how well-developed they are. Excluding the obvious move-objects-without-touching-them ordeal, note  Ebony has also developed some of the minutia included within the broad umbrella term that is TK, examples of which being physical enhancement, psionic barrier creation, the ability of flight, and many other such adaptations of her primary power. There are also no weight limits or physical stoppers to what and how much she can lift – it is purely based on her mind and mental state, meaning that the only ways to halt or otherwise negate her powers is through either telepathic or physical disorientation to her brain. It is to be noted that she has stopped mid-to-late game on the metaphorical RPG levelling system of power development, and although she feels as if learning further techniques for a power she couldn't care less about is a slog, a part of her still thinks that somewhere in this lost cause is the chance to regain her enjoyment of her powers – and as such she still continues training them despite her desire not to in a habitual way; implying a case of obsessive-compulsive disorder. Her current 'in-progress' abilities include psionic energy balls, invisibility, and short-range teleportation, however her irrational guilt towards continuing to beat the dead horse of her powers means she usually only works on these in her private time. So far, Ebony has no sign of developing any form of telepathic or sensing abilities, and has absolutely no interest in going down that road either.
  • Personality: Ebony is outwardly severe and curt, tending to be incredibly stubborn and a bit of a neat freak, however this behaviour is brought about by an inwardly emotion-based mindset and an obsession with living up to her own self-inflicted standards. Due to her powers being linked to her emotional state, Ebony tries to keep everything bottled up in an attempt to keep everyone none the wiser to what she perceives to be a 'cowardly' turmoil, yet she cannot hide her great sense of empathy towards others – which usually leaks out as nagging and pestering towards her comrades in a manner reminiscent to that of an anxious mother or older sister. While introverted, she is by no means shy – regularly attending social gatherings and the like – but her emotional stagnation means she ends up overcompensating by mistake and coming across as a bit of an interpersonally awkward dork, attempting to sound cool and failing miserably in the process (see her chosen codename for a clear example of this). While her dislike towards her abilities is strong, she nonetheless reluctantly recognizes the utility of them for others, and while she honestly couldn't care less about using them for herself she will usually oblige in assisting others if their presence in whatever conundrum they're having is entirely necessary (and she will help even if it isn't necessary – albeit with a dirty look, a tut of disapproval and an irritated eye-roll). Despite her efforts to keep every reaction limited to a small quirk of the eyebrow or a microscopic shift in expression, she cannot suppress her stronger emotions, and as such once one crosses that thin line she will explode into a frightening, seething rage that is a terrifying sight to behold – powers or no powers. Overall, Ebony is just a tired girl stuck in a bit of an early-onset existential crisis, however her tenacity to improve and regain her lost spark of life is admirable in and of itself, and her striving to forge her own path in life where she won't have to rely on the novelty of her god-given abilities is nought to be sneezed at either. It is also to be noted that so far the only thing she accepts wholeheartedly about herself is her earned skill in learning to play the violin – and as such whenever given the chance she will become fully invested in a performance, regaining an inward feeling of humanity even if it is only temporary.
  • Appearance: 6'2. Rarely breaks her impassive expression. Graceful in movement; but it is clearly artificial.
  • Background: Ebony was what one would call the 'perfect girl' growing up – polite, pretty, and also extraordinarily powerful since birth. The infant esper showed her tremendous potential repeatedly during her early years, with examples including psychically spinning her crib mobile and animating her toys and teddy bears. Unfortunately, the gushing and the proclamations of how 'special' she was eventually became tiresome and then grating, as Ebony was truthfully putting no effort into her supposed 'great acts' and viewed them purely as the norm. Yet instead of lording herself over others, Ebony developed a deep yearning for effort, and so threw herself into even the most mundane and soul-rending of activities in order to fulfill this urge. Her parents were utterly confused by her actions, having placed their daughter on such a high pedestal in their minds, but Ebony remained vigil, unwavering in her decision to explore other aspects of life and not being reliant on her god-given talents to achieve a sense of self-worth – feeling as if any satisfaction would be both unwarranted and temporary. Her teenage years were troublesome for her as well – she grew to be naturally beautiful, and once again she found herself thrust in a situation where she was being admired purely for her external apparency and not her true, flawed, human persona hidden just behind the aesthetically pleasing veil. Frustrated with all her emotional turmoil, she figuratively shoved her feelings deep into the crevices of her heart and locked them away – not yet realising how much a mistake she had made until she had gone and thrown away the key. Her attempt at coping having turned out to be a double-edged sword; her new, impassive attitude causing her old admirers to eventually lose interest even despite her looks caused her to feel a sudden, crippling onset of loneliness. Distraught and desperate to regain feeling in her heart, Ebony has turned to a confused lifestyle of both musicality and crimefighting – the former being a career she wishes to further expand and the latter being an admittedly hopeless effort to gain some sort of sense of self-worth from using her powers for good. That said, in both of her occupations she refuses to be admired as anything more than what she is, and any unfortunate overenthusiastic fans tend to get a strict lecture from her if they end up prodding that sore spot. Nonetheless, her hypocrisy is something she is aware if only subconsciously, but much like a certain speedster she has an instinctive, empathetically-birthed desire to assist the unfortunate; even if she herself dislikes the required methods to do so.

  • Identity: Hans Schultz / Arc-Shot
  • Abilities: Due to being forced into the Agenor Covenant Project, he has developed powers related to vectors, which determine the positioning, movement and force of the matter in the world. He can alter the velocity, force, position and nature of the vectors he interacts with - the basic effect being a very high end Mind over Matter ability.
    • As an addition, he can amplify his own vectors and affect super strength, super toughness, and some level of super speed.
    • Weakness: Hans is a somewhat impulsive 16 year old with a lot of problems and little understanding of science. His capacity to use his power is vastly limited by this - he could be extremely powerful, but as it is his lack of confidence keeps him back.
  • Appearance: A muscular young man dressed usually in a grey or white patterned hoodie with a number of crosses and other intricate designs on it - he wears a long sleeved shirt underneath that, and gloves as well. He wears blue jeans with a belt fastened tight, sneakers, and carries a small bag with him everywhere he goes that contains his food and basic supplies. He has blond hair, a slightly pretty face, and bright blue eyes.
  • Personality: Hans has made a lot of mistakes, and he's eager to try and make up for them by becoming a hero now that he has powers. However, inside he's still quite angry and sullen at times. His old affiliation and more specifically who he discovered the real boss was are a large Berserk Button for him - hate begets hate in his eyes, though he struggles not to feel any hate for The Adversary, after all that he did. He tends to assume before anything's done that he's already done and out, though he still keeps trying. Hans holds himself to very high standards, and beats himself up if he cannot keep to them.
  • Background: Hans you could say was almost born into squalor. He was an unwanted child, and his parents left him with an orphanage with the cheery message of "never try and find us you worthless sack of meat". He drifted from orphanage to orphanage, being known as a "fighter". He eventually joined up with Holy Ring, a far right group, as one of their "youth outreach" efforts. He didn't have any idea what he really joined up with, and was just happy to have people who seemed to value him just for him being himself. Even when they abused him for simple things, he thought it was just them looking out for his own best interest. He had nowhere else to go - and sank deeper and deeper. This lie brought him into the influence of the group's leader, who decided Hans had "the potential". Taking him and a number of other young people from Holy Ring, The Adversary, the Powered Armor wearing leader of the outfit, hooked them up to machines from his Zugzwang employer. Hans tried to beg to be let go - saying that this hurt him, that it felt like his brain was being melted, but the older members scoffed and revealed they only brought him in to show they had young people in their sphere of influence. They laughed at what he was going through, and marveled at the fact he readily agreed to this. This brought out a Heel Realization and Despair Event Horizon resultant in Hans' new power flaring up and destroying the whole of the Zugzwang Facility - though the Adversary ultimately escaped in a flash of light. He was found by a female superhero named Star Girl, who was on her way to fight the hordes of Mimics. Hans explained his circumstances and agreed to come along, and that this would mark the beginning of his atonement.

  • Identity: Natasha Gardener / Star Girl / Hero
  • Abilities:
    • Star Energy: Natasha can fire off powerful blasts of solar / star energy, much like the last person to have the identity of Star Girl. However her blasts are notably a bit stronger, and in addition her energy powers also let her fly.
    • Flying Brick: She is super strong, super fast, super tough and can even breathe in outer space oddly enough.
    • Energy Constructs: Natasha can make energy constructs out of similar energy to what she can conjure with her Star Energy power. These are limited mostly by her imagination.
    • Solar Basis?: It seems her key weakness is her powers need the light of the sun in order to charge up and function.
  • Appearance: She is basically a cheery brunette girl, reasonably tall, and quite buxom and attractive. She has light green eyes, which tend to glow more brightly when she uses her powers. Her superhero outfit is the very same one as her sister, a spandex blue and green outfit with a shoulder cape. She tends to prefer more boyish clothes when not in costume - t-shirts, jeans, pants, and the like. She seems to have consciously revamped how she looks recently - just a few years ago, she was the nerdy one and only recently has she become basically the older Star Girl's doppelganger.
  • Personality: Natasha had a troubled and complicated relationship with her older sister Rebecca - which did not help matters when Natasha wound up attempting to resemble her sister. She evidently wanted Ryan Brady but was forced into letting her sister "have" him. She often ruminates how she never wanted to constantly see her sister in the mirror, and that this would not be the fate she chose "if I had a choice". However she decided she would become a hero not because her sister was one, but because the world needed heroes, now more than ever. She decided to join NJI for a bevvy of reasons, some related to her mother. Despite her bubbly and seemingly airheaded behavior, she has a lot of secrets and has told many lies.
  • Background: Natasha is the younger sister of the now dead Star Girl, having taken up her sister's mantle and a lot of her mannerisms. In the course of moving to try to find her way to NJI, she found a troubled boy in a ruined facility, which led to her bringing him along. Much of the rest of her story she refuses to tell.

  • Identity: Evelyn (also known as Eve, The Owl, and Subject #19). Neutral. Public Identity.note
  • Abilities:
    • Awakening of the Third Eye: Due to her history as a test subject for Project EYE, Evelyn has gained the ability to access latent powers that are usually accompanied by a grotesque, crimson coloured eyeball located in the centre of her forehead. The Third Eye is fully functional despite its biological impossibility – and can even move independently of her other eyes. Unlike its symbolic counterpart, Evelyn's Third Eye physically tears open her skin and pushes out from an unseen place in a rather graphic fashion – although strangely enough Evelyn seems to show absolutely no discomfort during this process.note  The powers of Evelyn's Third Eye are varied, but currently segregated into different stages of development. These so-called 'Levels of Awakening' each develop previous abilities as well as manifest new ones – the current list of which goes as follows:
      • Awakening Level 0: Base form. Powerless. Complete lack of aura or anything else supernatural. No biological, spiritual, or metaphysical sign of the Third Eye.
      • Awakening Level 1: The Third Eye manifests via tearing open the forehead. Evelyn gains many abilities off the bat that are associated with legend, as well as a few more – including an increased field of vision up to 270 degrees in radius, the ability of remote sight (think astral projection), clairvoyance (concentration based – has to focus on object or person and even then can only see a few minutes or so ahead), limited telepathy (sight and again concentration based), the ability to see through walls of up to five metres in thickness, discernment of truth, and last but not least; telescopic vision.
      • Awakening Level 2: A bit of a last resort for Evelyn – as this Level of Awakening is still untrained and overwhelming for her to use. The Third Eye sprouts fleshy, pulsating vein structures out of its canthi that partially stretch across the forehead, apparently in an effort to overtake it. Evelyn's overall appearance also becomes... unwell, skin paling to a sick grey and eyes (normal eyes that is) becoming desaturated and corpse-like. The unlocked abilities of this Level of Awakening are increasing Evelyn's already enhanced field of vision to a full 360 degrees, a greater potency of her x-ray type vision to a doubled distance of ten metres, and the ability to perceive spirits, dimensionally displaced beings and objects, and other such phenomena. Oddly enough, Evelyn seems to become more distant and disoriented in this state – repeatedly suffering dizzy spells and sometimes falling completely into a trance and only returning to reality minutes later, claiming to have 'seen other places.' Notably, the Eye itself also flips its pigmentation to gain black sclera and a white, roughly-shaped pupil.
      • Awakening Level 3 – Grand Winged Seer: Evelyn completely loses consciousness in this state, along with all immediate memories leading up to and directly after its manifestation. And rightfully so – it is hideous, a humanoid, eight winged abomination with a misty layer of black shadow covering its skin – which is broken up by the crisscrossing weaves of glowing crimson veins originating from the Third Eye; now a steady, solid crimson with a single black dot as a pupil. All three eyes are now identical – occasionally revolving and shifting positions, blinking independently of one another and regularly altering pigmentations. All signs of Evelyn's female form are lost for one more unidentifiable, and her wings are a stark white and feathered. Unlocked abilities include an array of psionic-based attacks, the most prominent being a devastating blast of concentrated heat originating skywards with the capability of vaporizing anything unfortunate enough to be beneath its impact point – as well as the ability to unlock Third Eyes in humans within its line of sight. The full capabilities of this state aren't known, as it has rarely manifested – and any times that it has have either been prematurely halted by the EYE personnel or its eventual slip into dormancy anyway. In this fully awakened state, Evelyn doesn't appear to be the one in control – leading to the possibility that the Eye itself is commanding her body – however its apparent inability to speak makes it unclear how sapient it truly is. Awakening Level 3/The Grand Winged Seer also has the ability to step across into other dimensions – though again, Evelyn's lack of control and the physical toll it has on her for staying in this form too long means that she can't access this ability willingly.
  • Appearance: A mere 5' in height. Minor case of nystagmus; due to her albinism. Hair is thick and has a similar texture to that of feathers – which when combined with her rather round eyes provides reason for her nickname of 'Owl'.
    • As a side note, Awakening Level 2 turns her into something more akin to this.
  • Personality: A fairly quiet, unassuming girl with a child-like and somewhat fearful nature. Tends to come across rather distracted and thoughtful – looking at the world in a very intuitive manner. However, she is rather weary around people of a specific look – doctors, scientists, men of a certain cold or arrogantly intelligent persuasion – but overall she seems mostly curious and well-meaning, if not a bit naïve when it comes to more societal things, and also very high-strung; apparently suffering from some sort of anxiety complex. It's difficult to get a read on her innermost thoughts, as she so rarely talks – and her odd tendency to be terrified by relatively minor things and completely relaxed when it comes to her bizarre and-more-than-a-little-disturbing powerset showcases that something isn't quite right with her. Initially averse to conflict, yet abnormally quick to accept it if the situation escalates, Evelyn's strangeness slowly reveals itself to others over time to be the result of an incredibly sick history at the hands of a twisted project – one that has severely stagnated her development and rendered her little more than a traumatized bioweapon. And yet despite this, she is constantly fighting to keep her sense of morality and humanity – determined to break away from her past but repeatedly finding herself entangled in complications regardless of her efforts.
  • Background:
    • Evelyn's history is mostly unknown, at least to her. She is completely unaware of any assigned surname – nor if her current first name is in fact her real one. She was raised in a secretive underground facility for the purpose of being a guinea pig for the fanatical EYE organization – an overlap between a religious cult and a human experimentation camp, aiming to unlock the secrets of human potential by awakening an alleged hidden power within all known as the 'Third Eye'. Evelyn's early life was mixed with an attempted façade of a normal childhood by the researchers and a regular period of preliminary tests – the former of which stopped once she hit her teens and was entirely replaced by full on experimentation. The transition was jarring, mostly out of the organization's overeagerness at her excellent development in the preliminary procedures – but Evelyn didn't seem to pay any heed, quietly going along with the gradually worsening tests with apparently little to no awareness as to the severity of her situation – which the researchers took full advantage of. At least, until she finally awakened her Third Eye.
    • With the ability giving her the new power of being able to discern truth, Evelyn quickly realised exactly what Project EYE was doing and how inhumane it was – yet her initial attempts at escape and assisting her other brainwashed cohorts only resulted in more severe testing as punishment. Slowly, however, over the course of many months, she initiated a plan of escape by continuing to play the fool, using the experimentation procedures to develop her powers enough so she could gain advantage enough to overpower her captors. Thankfully, their desperation in continuing developing their (so far) only successful subject meant they started to become sloppy, and Evelyn soon found her opportunity approximately ten months after her initial awakening and escaped with the help of a failed, nearly blind fellow test subject who had awakened a partially functioning Third Eye at the cost of his regular sight. Unfortunately, Evelyn and this unnamed subject were separated in the process, and she has no idea of his current condition.
    • Now wandering free, biologically 17 but mentally much younger, Evelyn has had to do many a desperate thing to survive out on her own, but a quick manifestation of her Third Eye is usually quick to deter any potential predators. Now huddling in an old husk of a burnt mansion, Evelyn has only one goal as of now; to survive while avoiding being recaptured – however slowly but surely her curiosity in knowing what the outside world is like is gnawing away at her, and the revelation of there being other superpowered individuals similar to her is nearly irresistible of a prospect – even at risk of EYE rediscovering her.

  • Identity: The Mad Warrior / Connor O'Sullivan
  • Abilities:
    • Reforged Mad Blade Akutonari: The Anti-Creator reforged the "Mad Sword" Akutonari into a new form, brimming with Dark Matter. One swing of the sword is capable of severing ships and aircraft carriers in twain due to the energy carried by each swing. Every injury caused by Akutonari worsens every hour, spreading outwards, until the victim is nothing but a pile of viscera and gore.
    • Body of Blades: Due to the Anti-Creator's seriously warped "sense of humor", because Connor is best known for his swordplay, his body was deformed upon reconstitution - his right arm, shoulder and around a third of his torso is made of interlocking swords together with black and red material, which is near impossible to damage. This state is incredibly painful for him, and he states he always feels the swords that make up his body composition grating and rubbing against one another when he moves.
    • Four Vile Spirits: He had four unhallowed spirits shackled to him by the Anti-Creator - Fyura, Jille, Desper, and Rayei. They take the form of armor on him with three protruding swords, and can detach to fly around. They are extremely resistant to non-magical attacks.
    • Mad Enhancement: By sacrificing his sanity, voluntarily, he can enhance all his abilities by a large percentile. It turns off as soon as he slays the present foe.
    • Reinforced Body: Due to being brought back by the Anti-Creator, he has been reinforced and made more difficult to damage, as well as having above human abilities.
  • Appearance: While he started as a ginger haired boy, with remarkably even, boyish good looks, at present he looks beaten down and scarred up from how Ignatius dispatched him. He has definitely seen better days. One of his eyes has gone black with a small red dot at the middle. The Four Vile Spirits cling to his arms, one on his chest and one on his back. He usually wears a black helmet with a broken visor, only showing his black and red eye, with a prominent Gundam style piece on the forehead. Otherwise, he wears tight fitted leather armor, with it ripped off of the painfully augmented section of his body.
  • Personality: Connor does not exactly act as one might think a "Mad Warrior" would act - he seems bellicose, morose, pessimistic, and resigned to his new master destroying everything. "I lost everything - what do I care if he burns your world? Mine is cinders." He seems somewhat not all the way mentally there, sometimes needing people to repeat due to the sheer pain from his "Sword Body". He indicates he used to have a more heroic mentality, until he lost everything, he went mad with revenge "and died with my throat cut, choking and crying." He doesn't believe friends and love are real, and that everyone will sell anyone else out as soon as it's convenient. But more than anything, he still hates Ignatius.
  • Background:
    • The Mad Warrior as mentioned in Ignatius' backstory - Connor started out as a poor, Irish immigrant who was in love with a local girl from an above average in wealth family named Sarah. Connor was viewed with hate and disdain by the rest of his community simply because he was Irish. Sarah's family more than once tried to separate the two lovers, so that Sarah could marry into a far richer family. Connor's own family viewed him as a disgraceful boy constantly getting into fights, when they "had to prove they were model white citizens".
    • Ultimately, Connor was held down and beaten up by a handsome local rich boxer boy named Eric Stallworth, and his gang of friends. Sarah's parents - against her wishes - married her to Eric. Connor was beaten up again when he got drunk and tried to crash the wedding. Sarah was forced to cruelly renounce him and kiss Eric, who followed that up by buying out Connor's family's home. Connor was disowned by his parents in the aftermath, left alone in his blood and growing anger and hate.
    • He then managed to bring himself to Ignatius' residence, having heard the rumours of a sublime weaponsmith. Ignatius forged a sword that turned to dark - Akutonari. The blade was black as the darkest midnight, stained darker still by Connor's sheer hatred for Eric, Sarah's family, Eric's family, and everyone else involved.
    • Connor returned and promptly forced his way back - he killed Eric's friends on arrival, entered his house, and promptly murdered both Eric and Sarah in the heat of his rage. He pointedly slashed off each of Eric's limbs, and then stabbed him close to 50 times - still going even after Eric was dead.
    • Connor then went and killed his own parents, and two younger siblings, and then killed Eric's wealthy family. By the end of it, he was covered in blood, inarticulately screaming, and cutting down anyone who tried to stop him.
    • Ignatius arrived, and killed the young Connor, their fight culminating in a Slashed Throat for Connor and a slow and miserable death...until he awoke, in a place defiant of the laws of physics. Now the toy of a spiteful god.

Identity: Wilhelm Printer (Hero)

Abilities:
  • Powers:
    • Ink Manipulation: Wilhelm can manipulate any kind of ink to form constructs, as long as he can see the ink he's trying to manipulate. He can turn printed ink into liquid ink and vice versa. Once ink comes into his control, it turns black. He can store the ink he's collected in the form of tattoos, but he's limited to tribal-style ones. He cannot generate his own ink.
    • Tattoo Animation: Once he stores ink in the form of tattoos, he can use them to alter his body for a short period of time. The ink rises up out of his skin and forms the desired changes, but will continuously drip. If the ink drips away completely, the changes will be reversed.
    • Creation Words: If he writes a noun in the air with the ink he's manipulating, that noun will turn into the desired object, but it costs an exorbitant amount of ink. He deems this ability way too wasteful of ink, so he doesn't use this ability very much.
  • Weaknesses:
    • Otherwise Regular Person: Despite his ability to enhance his own body with ink, he remains a regular human being.
  • Skills:
    • Library Organization: Due to working at a library, he knows how they are organized and run.
  • Equipment:
    • Pens/Markers: Wilhelm always carries a hefty supply of pens and markers in his coat as ammunition.

Appearance: Wilhelm is a (5'5", 150 lbs) man with no outstanding physical attributes except for his tattoos—he is absolutely covered in them. He has short-cropped black hair and eyes. He typically wears nondescript street clothes under a very familiar black hooded trenchcoat.
Personality: Wilhelm is pretty easygoing and friendly. That said, deface a book and you'll incur his wrath. It's pretty obvious that he loves his job. He doesn't prefer to involve himself in superheroics, but he will if he is caught up in the situation. Following being freed from the Dream Eater's control, he is considering investigating from whence that scourge came...
Background:
  • Wilhelm grew up in a middle-class family, and was attracted to calligraphy from a young age. Eventually, he grew up, fell in love with, and married Paige after finding out they had much in common. Moving to Easton, they decided to open a library and name it after the city they now lived in.
  • Soon they had a daughter, and they tried to encourage her creativity. It succeeded and she developed powers in the same vein as them. When she was 7 years old, she altered the Library irrevocably.
  • After his recovery from the Dream Eaters' possession, he wants to find out where they came from. Hopefully his investigation won't lead him into too many dark places...

Identity: Paige Printer (Hero)

Abilities:
  • Powers:
    • Image Animation: Paige can bring any image to life, even if she didn't make it or if it is merely a scribble. She doesn't have to pay attention to her drawings the same way Wilma has to in order to be able to animate them. She can also make the subjects of pictures move, but she cannot pull things out of them.
    • Image Walking: Paige can go into drawings and pictures to examine them more closely, and talk to her own creations. However, in the pictures, everyone ignores her as if she wasn't there. The drawings and pictures are connected by her power, so she can use them as portals. She can bring people with her as long as they are holding hands.
  • Weaknesses:
    • Otherwise Regular Person: Despite her powers, she remains a regular human being.
  • Skills:
    • Library Organization: Due to working at a library, she knows how they are organized and run.
  • Equipment:
    • Drawing Materials: She always carries around some drawing materials in her purse, just in case.

Appearance: Paige is a (5'4", 130 lbs) lithe woman with long red hair and green eyes. She wears various colorful ankle-length sundresses under a leather jacket and boots. She walks confidently and is straight-backed.
Personality: Paige appears stern, but is actually very willing to help people. When she gets angry on behalf of someone, expect a horde of drawings at your doorstep. Her main concern now that she's been freed from the Dream Eaters possessing her is to find the origin of the buggers—the same as Wilhelm. She refuses to let Wilma involve herself in the Dream Eater business any longer.
Background:
  • Paige was Wilhelm's childhood friend who loved taking pictures and drawing. She was the one who decided to realize their shared dream of opening a library and convinced Wilhelm to move to Easton.
  • Like Wilhelm, she wants to find out where exactly the Dream Eaters came from. She tells Wilma to be careful and not to involve herself in the situation any longer, as there might be danger, not realizing what Wilma has faced. She also tells Wilma to inform her of any other dark happenings at her school.
  • So far, nothing has happened yet. But soon, something might spring up out of nowhere, and it may take everyone by surprise...and everyone may be caught right in the middle of it.

  • Identity: Stationary Pea, villain, public
  • Powers, Weaknesses, Skills, equipment, etc.:
    • Absolute Destructive Power: Due to absorbing her time line's Emperor, all his Taoists and associates, and her own allies, she has the power to afflict destruction - either by energy or simply by touch. This manifests in dark red energy. She attained a higher mastery of this power due to siding with the Anti-Creator.
    • Consumptive Aura: Due to the sheer number of people she has devoured, she can absorb those sufficiently weakened into herself, to heighten and increase her powers and abilities. She has done this to her universe's Red Tiger, Black Wolf, Red Bean, and Stray Dog.
    • Malignant Magics: She was taught how to use various spells related to vile spirits, shadows, darkness, and such by The Anti-Creator - who imparted on her a degree of ability related to his own status as a pre-multiverse being. She can open dark doorways, and turn people into disgusting demons. If the person is too mundane, however, and their "power level" as she interprets it is too weak, they simply explode.
    • Martial Arts / Swordsmanship: She is exactly as skilled as Jumping Bean is in this regard. She is however a lot more aggressive, owing to her capacities.
    • Malleable Body: Instead of being made of bean protein, she is made out of a far more amorphous substance. She is made of the distilled and shaped blood of Shadow Demons. As a result, every single molecule of her body needs to be destroyed or damaged beyond repair, otherwise she reforms.
    • Heinous Dress of the Anti-God: A black, showy dress that has a number of odd designs on it depicting snarling abominations. It acts as armor against heavenly influences and associated power, repairs itself if damaged, and cannot be dirtied.
    • Destructive Sword of Anti-Matter: A large greatsword she wields with one arm, swinging it as easily as a regular straight sword. By swinging it she can cut open a void which then emits a destructive, highly explosive wave of Antimatter. This sword tellingly changes its course to try and hit foes - indicating an evil intelligence.
    • Cuchula's Gourd of Impurities: A black gourd with evil runes across the middle, this gourd can emit foul curses, diseases and blight upon all those in contact with the mist and waters it emits.
  • Weaknesses: She is however weak to anything that would highly damage the Shadow Demons. She is also impetuous and frankly extremely psychotic.
  • Appearance: Clad in her black dress, wearing a frightening white and black mask with a plague doctor-like beak design, she gives off an unhinged air. Her skin is light pinkish in color due to what she's made of, and she carries her greatsword on her back beside the gourd. She usually floats around on a stream of dark energy coming from the gourd.
  • Personality: While Jumping Bean started childish and got better, Stationary Pea started childish and got worse. She has by the present become a terrible, psychotic creature working for the Anti-Creator, disturbingly enough calling him "Daddy", and enjoying eating, absorbing and messing with her foes. Pain and suffering are her bread and butter. She will even mess around and possibly let someone live if they scream loudly enough that she wants them to stay around. She lusts after Connor in ways that frankly speak of predatory interest in him. She alludes to constantly being hungry, and is always eager to slake that hunger on whoever is unfortunate enough to be her newest candy.
  • Background: Originally an alternate time line Jumping Bean, she followed along with a plan by Red Tiger and Black Wolf to defeat the Emperor by infiltrating his forces. However this resulted in her corruption, and over time she became hungry for power. She skinned Red Tiger and Black Wolf for their pelts, which she still has as long gloves and boots, and betrayed the Emperor on the eve of his triumph. She tore his spectral heart out and gorged herself on it, becoming the villain she is now. However her bean protein body began to break down, and she ultimately opened the way for the Anti-Creator, ravaging her own world just to save her own skin. The Anti-Creator fashioned a new body for her and new equipment, upon which she became another of his generals.

  • Identity: Galatea (anti-villain, public)
  • Abilities:
    • First and foremost, it deserves to be said the Anti-Creator's "younger" daughter is by far the strongest of his generals. The exact combination of powers involved give her an overwhelming force to bring to bear.
    • Conculium and Antimatter Perpetual Reactor: She operates on a powerful perpetual Conculium / Antimatter Perpetual Reactor, thus giving her limitless stamina and making it impossible to tire her out.
    • Daughter of Destruction: All of her attributes are even further amplified from the baseline Ophelia possessed, being extremely fast, extremely strong, and extremely durable.
    • The Gate Master: She is capable of opening and extending gateways, while she cannot release her "father" from the Gate of Gig's imprisonment, she can bring many things from his world into this one.
    • Asphodel: Her scythe is a tremendous thing, the blade alone is 3 / 4's as large as she is, and she twirls it around with alarming athleticism and gymnastic ability. Asphodel is made of the same substance as Dexter's towers, with the same deleterious effect on the divinity of the divine. It has a gem placed in the middle of the blade to empower it further, made of the paradoxically combined essence of Yazata and Daeva. This Yin-Yang Bomb essence gives Asphodel a further devastating kick to every swing.
    • Dead Ring Beams: She can conjure bright red, highly familiar beams she can either fire from her fingers or from red spheres that generate from her "halo". These can pursue foes, or bend and go in odd directions.
    • 120% Counter: She can "counter" attacks heading at her and reflect them back on the attacker by way of a system of constructed barriers. This results in the attack returning at 120% of its base power. She can do this either to physical attacks, or to ranged attacks. However she can only reflect one attack at a time, and attacks that continue beyond that initial burst can get through.
    • Abyssal Book of Night: She has a strange magitech tome that contains a variety of spells associated with night, destruction, and primal iterations of elements. It is indicated this book came from the time of Aecthon the Brilliant.
    • Energy Taker: She can absorb and control energy - there are a few limits, but she has very fine tuned powers in this regard.
    • Hornet Drones: Her "halo" is the base for twelve attack drones that are made of the same technology as that which was employed by the Foundation for the Future. They're fast moving, devilish little things, Nigh-Invulnerable themselves and armed with laser cannons.
    • Flashes of the Past: Despite being a devoted general otherwise, she cannot bring herself to harm her past self's "parents"...
  • Appearance: Galatea was given an impressive overhaul after being brought back by the Anti-Creator - in stark contrast to the upgrades others got, she became a beautiful, porcelain "doll" like entity. Visibly plates on various parts of her skin, she is obviously inhuman, but bewitchingly beautiful. She has a huge corset and dress built in to her made of white and black metal. She usually carries Asphodel across her back horizontally. Her gauntlets best resemble upperclass long gloves. She seemingly has long black hair on her head - and her eyes are hauntingly light blue.
  • Personality: Galatea carries herself with a certain class - she never loses her temper at all, she fights with a certain grace, and while she enjoys combat she never voices any sadistic impulses. If anything she'll bow after, say thank you to your broken body, and then leave if that's been ordered or politely kill you if her father requested that. She carries utterly no malice or hate...usually...but the exception is Ophelia. She despises further iterations of it, saying that it cheapens her individuality, and that if she could, she would discontinue Ophelia entirely. She does occasionally state some very disturbing definitions and words - as if pointing out certain actions have consequences, or what her presence entails.
  • Background: The former Ophelia - sliced in half by Zahhak, and then buried...this burial did not last. Ophelia's upper half was summoned by the Anti-Creator, reprogrammed, and surprisingly he gave her solid individuality and self regard, if programming her to be loyal to him. And for her part, Galatea is eager to prove herself.

Status: Rookie hero

Identity: Private, since he is new to being a hero after all

Abilities:

Powers:

  1. Dust Storm: Allows him to create a vacuuming vortex that can suck enemies and objects towards him
  2. Iron Grip: Allows him to climb some structures to reach high surfaces
  3. The Underling: A slide dash that allows Dustin to pass through low obstacles and knock enemies off their feet.

  1. Self-defense combat: Dustin can easily take down opponents using whatever environmental objects he can get his hands on, like slamming a door onto an enemy's head numerous times to knock him/her out.
  2. Engineering: Dustin can craft makeshift weapons out of whatever resources he has, thanks to his father being an engineer.

Equipment: The Blade of Ahrah (his talking sword)

Appearance: As he is descended from Dust, he has inherited Dust's looks, but with short black hair styled like this and with large, pointy canine ears.

Personality: Dustin is an outspoken and very friendly Warmblood who can engage in conversations, although he doesn't talk much due to the fact that he has mild autism and therefore doesn't understand a lot of situations. When the situation arises, he can be firecely protective towards the innocent and friendlies.

Background: Dustin obtained the Blade of Ahrah from a museum as it was exhibiting Ahrah one day when a group of robbers break into the museum and steal most of the exhibits before going to it. Once they break into Ahrah's glass display case, it awakens and moves itself onto Dustin's hands, granting him all of the fighting and magic skills of his ancestor Dust and allowing him to successfully take down and subdue the robbers.

A bit of a weird one, this. But you know me by now. Stupid ideas out the ears.

  • Identity: Alice Pleasance Liddell (as well as her cat; Cheshire).
  • Alignment Status: Neutral Good. (Cheshire is simply Neutral).
  • Identity Status: Public on both accounts. Subtlety seems to not be their forte.
  • Age: Uncertain. Looks to be in early teens, but her mannerisms sometimes suggest younger. That and whenever asks she turns her nose up. As of late, however, she has taken an aged-up appearance of what is undoubtedly a woman in her mid-to-late teens.
    • The age of the cat has not been confirmed either, and it doesn't seem inclined to tell.
  • Appearance: “Curiouser and curiouser...” Lot of in-betweens here. Her stare is in-between constantly disinterested and wide-eyed curiosity, for starters. Merely 5'1 or 5'4 since her age-up. Looks to be mildly underfed, as well as having some odd discolouration in patches of the skin (usually hidden beneath her clothing). Perpetually straddling the line between elegant and fumbling; spotless and scruffy.
    • Cheshire appears as such – odd colouration and all. Much like his mistress, he is on the borderline betwixt elegant and mangy. Much unlike his mistress, he is perpetually wearing a grin. Also has a habit of “appearing here and there” as Alice dismissively puts it. Even when it's beyond reason or physical possibility.
  • Personality: Alice is by far one of the most “queer little things” one could meet. Both polite yet delicately critical, shy yet outspoken, attentive yet daydreaming – the word “mad” would not begin to describe many of her odd quirks and mannerisms. The girl is clever, but seems to not apply herself; flitting from odd thing to odd thing and questioning them without ever reaching a conclusion. She seems to put on an amusingly pompous front befitting of her Victorian appearance even when she is clearly lost in regards to a subject, but is by no means purposefully stuffy or cruel as much as “doing what is proper for a girl to do". Quite old-fashioned, and quick to question new developments – yet also very quick to accept them and pass them off as one of the many charming oddities of the world, readily ingraining them into her ideology as to how she should behave once convinced that way. Yet despite her external politeness and hidden, somewhat compelling eccentricities, Alice can in some cases clam up and freeze for the most oddest or mundane of reasons – becoming as distant and reactive as a china doll with a mere snap of the fingers depending on specific things: open flames, kitchen knives, and clinical or slummish environments in particular seeming to send her into an immediately comatose state for whatever reason. Another bizarre trigger of hers (and a reliable way to make her anxious) is to ask in suspicion about her cat – to which she will become so extremely paranoid and protective of it that she will rapidly reach a stage of hyperventilation within half a minute.
    • The Cat cannot speak for itself – or at least Alice does so for it. According to her, it is a “blasted thing” that is allegedly highly mischievous, intelligent, and sly; and she claims with both irritability and (for some reason) mild fright that it even has its “own agenda”. Disturbingly, whenever spoken of in this way, the cat's grin appears to widen. Still, though – Alice seems fond of the thing. At least in the way that it never leaves her side. Ever.
  • Abilities:
    • Alice:
      • Wonderland: A place Alice claims to have “dreamt up” during a particular period of her odd musings, and a mental realm heavily influenced by the outside world and her perceptions of people. More than a simple memory palace, Alice's Wonderland is a fully developed location full of bonkers, charming, and sometimes even downright creepy things and individuals that she regularly visits and tends to with all the care of a gardener; and molds and shapes it to her will. Interestingly, she seems to exude an aura reflecting Wonderland's dreamlike statenote  It is notable, therefore, that the line between reality and fantasy becomes incredibly blurred in her presence – and her Wonderland may even become accessible to those inclined to visit. If they can handle the madness – and if they can get out...
      • Manifestation: On occasion – most often during one of her fantastical, daydreaming states – certain things from Alice's Wonderland seem to “leak” out. A supply of size-changing mushrooms, cakes, and potions might appear in the fold of her apron, for example. She might be able to leap to a height thrice her size or burst into a shower of petals with a sneeze. An ornate dagger resembling an old-fashioned letter opener could perhaps manifest in her hand. An oversized pepper grinder that can fire out heated pellets like a Gatling gun.  All of these objects, trinkets, and phenomena rarely occur as she wills them, and almost always in dire or specific circumstance. Alice seems none too aware as to the strangeness of this – and rarely does she see it as something to be addressed (for she considers it much too odd to be spoken of as anything more than her own mind playing tricks on her – and if it is indeed occurring in reality it would be much too impolite to boast about it).
      • Dreamwalking: Indeed, Alice sometimes finds herself in the fantasies of people other than her – though strangely those she has only ever made a close connection with. This seems to be triggered primarily by proximity – if Alice sleeps nearby a person she knows or vice-versa, there is a high chance she will be brought into their mindscapes. This ability is limited to but one person at a time, and – much like her manifestation power – this ability seems mostly involuntary. Though it is to be said it is very possible that these strange powers could be harnessed and controlled by her; if only she becomes aware enough to learn how to.
    • Cheshire:
      • Disappearing: Usually discreetly (but not always), Cheshire can vanish into thin air either suddenly or gradually. He seems to have some mastery over how this vanishing occurs – from a simple blinking out of sight to a complex strip-down to each respectful layer of his biology; first the fur might vanish, then his musculature, and so on. Though apparently acting upon his own will for the most part, Cheshire's disappearances can also happen involuntarily if he is startled, sleepy,  or simply disoriented for whatever reason.
      • Eloquence: For a cat that makes little to no sound usually, it is a surprising thing to learn that Cheshire is actually just as well-spoken as Alice – if not more so. Never talking aloud in her presence (unless she is under one of her 'states' where she can't tell whether she's in a fantasy or not), Cheshire possesses a smooth baritone and a vast vocabulary to go along with it – even if he mostly uses it for the odd snippy comment to an unsuspecting individual he feels deserves it. Alice seems unaware of this trait, but this appears to be out of some sort of ignorance; as Cheshire sometimes talks to her directly and she never realises him to be speaking audibly. It is possible she thinks that she is merely imagining him speaking and that others are playing along.
      • Dreamwalking: Indeed, the cat seems to inherit Alice's trait – or possibly be the actual originator of it – whatever the case it is uncertain. Nonetheless, Cheshire seems actively aware of this ability and uses it to his will; regularly hopping into the minds of those he finds “interesting” and contributing to many of his reported vanishings in the process – much to Alice's disapproval. Instead of wandering about aimlessly like his mistress in the dreams, Cheshire usually acts as the devil's advocate and pops up in their mindscapes to deliver vague and condescendingly constructed riddles. Interestingly, in this way he can be both interacting with Alice in the real world and communicate with someone in their mind simultaneously; but much like Alice he is limited only to one individual at a time.
  • Backstory:note
    • Alice was born in 1852 alongside her two older brothers; Arthur and Harry, as well as later on six younger siblings (one of which was her sister Edith whom she was very close with). Evidently, growing up amongst such a large and typical Victorian-era family led to both a highly questioning and highly polite personality on her part – which culminated especially after asking a Mr. Charles Lutwidge Dodgson (a friend of the family whom she had met some time before whilst he was photographing the local cathedral) to tell her and her sisters a story whilst they were on a boating trip. Indeed, the stories Charles told were evidently strange enough to warrant being written down – and he eventually did so under the name Lewis Carroll. Unbeknownst to him, strange things began to set afoot in young Alice's mind...
    • What follows is undefined strangeness. Memories blurred, and time warped. Even Alice doesn't know how she came to be more than a century later. Nor when and how she developed a relationship with this bizarre cat. All she remembers was perhaps deciding to read Carroll's book after he gifted a handwritten rendition to her on one particular Christmas. Some whom she has asked (seers and the like who she had initially been weary of questioning but the “blasted cat” convinced her to anyway) tell her she has been “temporally displaced” or “had an encounter with a sprite” or some other nonsense of which she can only half understand. All she knows now is that she is in some city called “Easton” and had somehow crossed the water in the process. Evidently a delayed journey since everyone insists it is the 21st century. Though maybe they simply use a different calendar in America. Ah well. At least she has some form of companionship here in the form of that admittedly rather mangy-looking cat. Perhaps someone here would be polite enough to inform her as to what's going on...
