~@Stygian Emperor, I think that Xarok's 360 degree vision and speed and overall situational awareness are actually what make him hardest to balance for me. I'd recommend either limiting his lethality or cutting that to double down on the Big Hulking Robot angle you have going already.

Also, this reminds me of a cyberpunk game I started signups for recently. Funny coincidence.

Anyway, here's my character:

• Name: Hans Ironhold (formerly Edward Hans Johnson)
• Age: 36 (Physically 24)
• Appearance: Although Hans is heavily modified, both genetically and with cybernetics and biotech, he doesn't look it. He's about 5'11" with long black hair, shockingly vibrant bright green eyes, and slightly tanned skin. He is muscular, but not body-builder level muscular, more slightly more muscular than most people you meet. He has weird green tattoos on his forearms and strange indentations on his fingertips, but otherwise looks almost normal. He likes wearing heavy metal band t-shirts (black, of course), and black shorts.
• Personality: Hans is adventurous and a bit crazy (in a good way). He's got a lot of people with whom he has a positive relationship, but few actual friends. He has a love of alcohol and awesome things. Overall, he's a pretty nice guy, but you do not want to get into a fight with him.
• Biography:
  • Hans, or, as he was called then, Edward, was born in a slum somewhere in Neopittsburgh, he had a pretty hard but relatively uneventful life.
  • He signed up as a test subject for experimental backup-body tech when he was 15. If he ever used the backup body, and survived with his sanity intact, they'd actually pay him for it, but only because the tech was experimental and very dangerous.
  • When he was 33, he suffered an accident that left him completely paralyzed from the neck down, and decided to let them attempt the transfer to his backup body. The consciousness transfer was painful and disorientating, but he was one of the few test subjects that survived it, so they (rather grudgingly) gave him his damn money. He soon found that the body was heavily genetically modified (more about that in assets)
  • He blew most of that money on heavy biological and cybernetic modifications, and then changed his name and moved to Nova Lucro because he felt like it.
  • He has discovered he enjoys pissing off arrogant megalomaniac control freak executives.
• Assets:
  • Fingerprint Card: A credit card-esque thing that reads Hans' fingerprint, and then is authorized for use. He doesn't use it that much, but keeps it around because he feels like it.
  • Language Assistance Datachips: Chips implanted into Hans' brain which allow him to learn languages much faster, learn many more of them, and speak them more fluently than he could without them. They were pretty much essential for him to learn Portugese, but he's since learned many, many other languages. They also allow him to speak with any accent he wants, so he often switches between accents for shits and giggles.
  • Genetic Enhancements: Hans' body has several genetic enhancements, which make him stronger, faster, and have higher endurance then he did in his previous body. He also heals faster, has better senses, and a faster reaction time.
  • Eye Implants: Hans has some kickass state-of-the-art eye implants. They improve his eyesight tremendously, come with wireless connections to smart-weapons (which he can turn off and on at will), low-light-vision, glare compensation, vision magnification (adjusts magnification at will, can zoom in up to 5000% normal), image link (again, he can turn this feature off and on at will), eye color changing (in case he gets bored with vibrant green, and state-of-the-art retinal duplication (a highly illegal modification allowing the user's eyes to mimic another person's retinas at will after about one second of uninterrupted eye contact, usually used for passing stuff that requires retina scans), and also offers various vision modes other than normal, some of which (negative and black & white) serve little purpose other than entertainment, while others (infrared, night vision, and ultraviolet) are extremely useful. He can switch between these modes and normal vision at will.
  • Enhanced Muscles: Hans has had his muscles even further biologically enhanced, meaning that even for his size and physique he's a powerhouse of ridiculous proportions. It also has the pleasant side-effect of making his tissues incredibly dense, which means he can take much more of a punishing than a normal human.
  • Titanium-Laced Bones: Hans' bones were laced with titanium, making them incredibly tough, albeit rather heavy. He can take even more punishment without it really doing that much damage. Also, his fists are harder, so he packs even more of a punch.
  • Titanium Retractable Claws: As if titanium-reinforced bones weren't enough, Hans got himself some absurdly sharp, rather long titanium claws. Sure they aren't lasers, but they'll still shred through pretty much anything well enough. They also extend and retract at will, meaning they're never an inconvenience.
  • Wired Reflexes: Due to several mechanical and biological enhancements around the brain and stuff, Hans is ridiculously fast and has an even more ridiculously fast reaction time. He can also turn it off, meaning that he can go through normal human interaction without being a blur to everyone else.
  • Electric Eel Skinmod: Hans has a biological modification that not only makes him nigh-immune to electric shock, but also allows him to produce ridiculous amounts of electricity from is hands and forearms. Sustained bursts of electricity (I.E. more than a few seconds continuous electric death) require more energy than a human body could normally provide, but he has two different mods that deal with that problem.
  • Photosynthetic Tattoos: Remember those tattoos I mentioned in "Appearance"? Those are actually state-of-the-art patches of photosynthetic skin designed to look like tattoos because they look cool. They provide excess energy, and an alternate form of sustenance for a few days if he doesn't have enough time to eat, although eating is still necessary beyond those few days.
  • Excess Energy Storage: State-of-the art (you're probably getting tired of the term by now) cybernetic implants that convert excess thermal and chemical energy and store them, keeping him cool and skinny(-ish) pretty much until there storage is full, which, since they have a ridiculously high storage capacity, and Hans has a high-activity lifestyle, is guaranteed to never happen. Stored energy can also allow Hans to go without food for quite a bit of time, though it's not a very good idea.
  • Sleep Regulator: A weird biological modification that allows Hans to stay awake for almost 24 hours without ill effects and allows him to feel fully refreshed after 2 hours of sleep, although his sleep is much deeper when he does sleep, but still...
  • Smartpistol: A heavy pistol with a smartlink that allows him to connect his eye implants to it, allowing him to aim better, shoot around corners without exposing himself, and all that other crazy stuff.
  • Phone: An ordinary smartphone.
• Affiliations:
  • Bartender: A bartender named Tim who knows Hans very well.
  • Black Market Contacts: Hans has many contacts on the black market. They inform him when some really cool illegal stuff is on sale.
  • Girlfriend: Hans' on-again off-again girlfriend, Natasha. They don't talk much, but are rather fond of each other. Strangely, she's a cop, and also survived a body transfer with her sanity intact after getting fatally shot when she was 35. She's currently 38, and her body is also 21. Since she lives in Neopittsburgh, many people think she's his Girlfriend in Canada.
• Miscellaneous:
  • Hans currently speaks English, Spanish, Portugese, Japanese, German, Finnish, Dutch, and Swedish with native-level proficiency, speaks fluent Icelandic, Danish, Norwegian, Latin, Arabic, Chinese, and Russian, and is learning Hindi, Italian, and Irish Gaelic. He's putting his datachips to good use, people!
  • Hans doesn't give a crap about current music trends. He likes heavy metal. Especially Traditional Heavy Metal, Viking Metal, Melodic Death Metal, and Folk Metal. He likes the classic stuff.
