Opened.
Besides quality issues, I couldn't understand what was happening in OP, and had to read the example writeup on the page to get the image.
From the examples: last two panels?

Well, that kind of works. It's a bit narrow, but at least explains they're the ones who did it to themselves.
Check out my fanfiction!I can live with that pending other ideas.
Except that "dinosaurs had it coming" implies that they deserved it. Deliberately sacrificing themselves (and each other?) is more along the lines of Heroic Sacrifice and/or Redemption Equals Death, depending on the comic portrays the dinosaurs' prior reign.

As an alternative. Would definitely require a permission to use, though.
Spiral out, keep going. The trope title may be a misnomer. The trope description states that the only requirement is that dinosaurs were responsible for their own extinction, listing being "intelligent enough to develop the means of their own destruction" (as seen in 3) as an example.
Even that phrase seems to imply more "killed themselves or each other off through carelessness or wrath" than "deliberately chose to sacrifice themselves."
Part of the problem is that this doesn't have a laconic, so the title is the sole alternative to the open-to-interpretation trope description.
I think "dinosaurs brought the extinction down on themselves" is flexible enough to cover it.
How about this strip◊ from The Far Side?
^ Not bad. But it's a single panel.
Yep, that's right out.
Even if it wasn't single-panel, we apparently can't use anything from The Far Side due to copyright issues.
Which is a shame, because The Far Side is awesome.
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?Possibly, but that feels more like ignoring the danger instead of actively causing it.
Clock is set.

Note the 'no image for now' option.

Thanks; it’s hooked and the clock’s off.
The "oh crap, was that today" entry is 4 points in the green, 3 in the lead. Should we call it or wait for more votes?
I finally got around to voting, big shift across the board.
Way past time to call this one. The new pic's up and tagged...going ahead and locking to clear out the deadwood.
