Hmm, I don't think this is People Sitting On Chairs. This is a trope used to show the hypocrisy of someone complaining about someone else complaining.
Looking at the examples, it does seem to serve a purpose in the story, usually for comedic effect or to lampshade someone else's behaviour.

What... even is this trope? The title and description pretty much give me the notion of People Sit on Chairs, and the examples do not help us get an idea either.
