We are still talking about Kicking Ass in All Her Finery, right? Or has this become a TRS thread for Agent Peacock? The discussion is a little confusing at this point. It's pretty clear from the description of Agent Peacock that it's a badass trope, so the badass thread can handle it.

For Kicking Ass in All Her Finery, I think it's fair to say that it's unrelated to Agent Peacock. Or at least, it's fair to discuss its relation to Agent Peacock and imo they're unrelated. It's also fair to say that The Dandy and Badass in a Nice Suit has little to nothing to do with this either. I think we could discuss whether or not to change the "Spear Counterpart" comparison to Badass in a Nice Suit, but as far as changing other tropes goes, that doesn't seem germaine to this thread...

Sorry for derailing. It is Kicking Ass in All Her Finery. It's just that the rest of "glamorous fighter" tropes are no less confusing and the topic starter suffers from bad case of "writer ADHD".

I don't really see the problem here. The description to me says "fighting in clothes that don't look like they're used for fighting, for whatever reason", with subtropes covering various reasons for why. This is a highly stylized break from reality, which seems like obviously a trope.

There are a few subtropes that seem to be missing from the page, like Frills of Justice, but that's a minor change and without any evidence of misuse provided in this thread, I don't think we need to do much here.

Clock's up; locking for lack of activity/consensus. No action is to be taken on the basis of this thread.
