Hey there everyone! I'm pretty sure I'm new here.

• Name: Ragna the Bloodedge
• Source: Blaz Blue AU
• Age: Early 20's

• Appearance: Waaaait a minute...
• Personality: Ragna's a rough type, with little time to spare for anyone else's problems. She is an extremely focused and single-minded person more often than not. However, her moral compass and sense of empathy, along with her general naivete show that she is really a kind person. If you present her with your problems, she'll empathize, as well as apologize and say that she has her own problems to take care of. You've got to really latch onto her leg, beg and plead, or alternatively just get under her skin to get her involved with your crises.
  • If you're a decent enough person, Ragna will treat you with the kindness you deserve. However, she also bears serious anger management issues, which are not helped by the Azure Grimoire. If you're any number of people who've dealt some form of injustice that she remembers, expect no mercy. If Ragna loses sight of her goals and focuses solely on her rage, she could very well become the monster many think of her as.
• Abilities:
  • Ars Magus Adeptness: With the Azure Grimoire, Ragna was granted a startlingly high proficiency with Ars Magus, the functional magic of the Blaz Blue world (though actual magic and sorcery are different things, and far more ancient and powerful). Ars Magus comes in various forms, but the only two that Ragna keeps in handy are Barrier, a magic shield that forces her to stay put, and Burst, an all-encompassing explosion of energy that does no actual damage, but is meant to blow enemies back.
  • The Azure Grimoire: Much less a fashion accessory and more as much a part of Ragna as her other limbs; the Azure Grimoire is an artifact of legend, but not one Ragna can use to its fullest potential yet. It grants Ragna the use of dark flames in her attacks. These streaks of darkness, upon hitting their enemy, will damage their soul as well as their body, and the severed portion of their soul will be absorbed by the Grimoire and used to heal Ragna's wounds. She can also kick the Grimoire into overdrive, increasing the potency of her soul eating abilities, but at the expense of any of her personality traits not related to anger. Overusing the Grimoire can result in her becoming naught but a big, blind ball of unbridled rage.
  • One hell of a cook: Jubei taught Ragna how to cook, and she's pretty good at it. She particularly enjoys cooking meat dishes. She even makes a great pot of tea.
  • Bad luck: Which leads to...
  • Dry wit: Which helps ease the pain... a little.

Personality: (i'm not very good at this) A simple-minded, innocent little guy. Yuu is childish, naive, and all around cheerful and upbeat. He enjoys the company of others most of all. He can be a bit rowdy at times, but fear not—once he's all tired out he's easy to get into bed. However, he's a little quick to get upset, and tends to cry when overwhelmed or when things aren't going right. But usually a hug and a stroke of the hair is enough to calm him down. He speaks with a light lisp, and sometimes misspells things. He also struggles somewhat with reading, as he's still a child. But he's learning! Yuu carries around a stuffed rabbit named named Socks (Appearance)◊, and plays and talks with it when he's bored or left alone. Very few people know how he came into this world...something about star shards and Luigi and clones.

Abilities:

• Big Eater: Despite his size, Yuu can eat more than any grown man. He could easily win a hotdog eating contest if he didn't dislike hotdogs. This may be why he's always hungry.
• Imaginary Friend: Only he can hear Socks's responses to him due to his hyperactive imagination. From what he knows, Socks likes to tell jokes.

hi there! thanks for swinging by. i've just got a hit minute here but want to touch base here with you.

firstly, i'd like to be straightforward: this game is very interaction heavy and frankly, your submission looks like a joke character, or a jokey character at the least. it's probably not what you meant to write up and this isn't an issue but we usually recommend against such characters until the player has a better feel for the role play, especially from someone who we haven't encountered before.

secondly, the overall sheet should have more information in the personality/abilities section. again, as an interaction-focused game knowing exactly who we're dealing with is going to be important. if you need help we're happy to lend a hand, just let myself, or our extra-special sparkly-wonderful GM Mobile Leprechaun know and we'll be happy to help.

Name: Ozymandias, Ozzy for short

Age: currently 24 but is the reincarnation of Ramses ii.

Gender: Male

Appearance: check my gallery to see what he looks like in his armor, without he looks like Bryan De Chart.( but a little shorter)

Personality: really funny (sometimes unintentionally), gets jealous when he sees taller beautiful women. Sometimes rejected by people for his height. He is like Nathan Young from Misfits but with out the douchebagerry( though he can sometimes be.) Very sarcastic even in times when he shouldn’t be( making jokes in a funeral, Making fun of a god capable of destroying the planet and even laugh hysterically when everything around him is crazy.) He is insecure about his appearance so he always hides his true self( his true personality) and puts a funny sarcastic have-fun-everytime mask on. But when he is exposed or got caught out on being full of it, he starts to panic at first but start to calm down. When he is in his true self, it’s as if he is a different person, a man who has gone through a lot of crap, and there are only three people( who have very interesting story arcs too btw, but this is about my character) who knows his true self. He is very out-going and loves doing pranks with his friends, but when he is alone he feels very shy.( but try to stay funny.) And for more details about his weakness, he feels like he wants to disappear or want to kill himself when he sees or meet a taller and much more beautiful women( models specifically.). He may be immortal but it takes a few hours for him to come back to life.( the longest was a month , shortest 45 min).

Ability: Resurrective Immortality, Got his power from the “Rain” for his fear of death. Bad luck, though sometimes jinx himself, he thinks this power is useless ( though it did save him a couple times.)

His armor gives him incredible strength and endurance, almost making him strong enough to carry the weight of the world(literally)

Small things about him: He also took part in a Divine conflict of gods and celestials. He always brings a watch to record on how long he has been dead. Actually knows and speaks Japanese( me too btw irl) Is afraid of dying even though he is an immortal. When he is stabbed or ripped apart, his body would turn into sands then assembles back into a body. Has an triangular A.I. Chip at the side of his head that will make Ozzy able to fight and aim better. Though Chip( yes that’s the A.I.’s name) sometimes shut down in unfortunate times because it’s an old A.I.

Please tell me if this is bad I’ll edit it quickly.

the good news is that what i'm seeing looks good to me so far.

the not as fun news is that i would like to see a little more of his personality section filled out, because our game is very, aye, practically exclusively interaction based. you've referenced nathan young and wikipedia paints him as a sarcastic, almost folk-tale-protagonist sort of trickster (from what i can tell. i've never seen misfits, to be fair!) and that's not an issue, per se, but it doesn't tell me enough about him (especially, since, by your own admission, he's a douchebag in the show). if you could flesh out in better detail who ozzy is as a person, how he plays with others, what sort of temperament he has, all that sort of detail, we'll probably be just fine.

and for the record, don't worry about editing quickly, it's currently 4:20 am for this sorry troper and i'm going to go re-hit the hay as soon as this is posted. however! we'll let you know as soon as we see those edits made, mate.

Name: Bloodlust

Gender: Unknown. But it looks masculine

Appearance: Has a bloody red skull face with horns( it can shape the horns). It is not wearing anything on the upper body. Everything from his lower body is covered with furry and leather clothes His body is all bloody and red and looks very buff and is very tall. Kinda like Kratos from god of war.

Personality: It is ruthless and wild. It is very stubborn and has indomitable will, so it can not be mind controlled. It is feared by many, from poor peasants to greatly worshiped gods. It is wild, feral and beast personified. You wouldn’t want to cross pasts with it, it will tear you apart. But it mainly aims for immortals, because it knows it will not die, so it makes the immortals toys to it. Killing immortals again and again. Just like it’s name, it has great lust for blood and will do anything to kill.

Ability: It has incredible strength and has very strong skin, that not even a nuke would hurt him, though he will feel pain. He can heal very quickly and is invulnerable to toxins and other poisons and curses for even he can change faith. It can die and go to hell, but he will walk out the gates of hell by fighting the colossal gatekeepers.

I think you might want to hold off on playing this guy for a little while. There's not inherently wrong with him (though he might need a bit more development), but it's generally not a good idea to play villainous types when you're still pretty new to the thread. The game's mostly about character interaction and the like, so it's best to get a feel for that before you go for characters who're mostly geared towards picking fights with other people.

Doesn't mean you can't do it in the future, though! I just think it'd be good if you got a good handle on the main thing we do here first.

Appearance: The spider thing in my avatar

Personality: Evil, but reasonably so. It won’t kill you just because, but its ultimate priority is its own survival. Hard to irritate, bad with Internet technology, and difficult to impress. Can and will portal its way through difficult situations; cheating is the best solution to the Emperor.

Abilities: possession, portal generation to a mirror version of where the portal is, light beams. Cannot survive in bright light (e.g. the Sun, not a desk lamp) in its normal state, so must use another creature’s form to do so. Its eye color determines weakness; purple makes it weak to concentrated light (e.g. magnifying glass plus sunlight), white is weak to dark (e.g. locking it in a room with no light at all), and orange is neutral to both.

Is this good?

Hey there! Your signup looks pretty good; that's about the right amount of detail that we like to see. Problem is that villainous kinds of characters aren't the best to use when you're just starting out in the thread. Friendly interaction is the norm in the thread, and antagonistic types kind of make that difficult, especially when you're getting acclimated to the flow of things.

I think you should try putting up a different, friendlier character; it'd just be easier for everybody if/when you get into the thread. If you put up a similarly detailed signup for them, you ought to get in pretty easily with that.

Source: King Of Thieves (iOS game)

Age: unknown; at least 5,000

Gender: male

Appearance: The golemesque being in my avatar gallery.

Personality: Incredibly greedy; any gem that is not nailed down, on fire, and defended by at least five guards is taken as a challenge for him to steal. That said, he knows when to give up; he won’t get himself killed over a shiny rock he can find more of. He also won’t steal from those he deems worthy; protagonists, charitable characters, and other golems are safe. He’s somewhat protective of both his rocks and his friends, and will offer his fusion or golem generation abilities to those who need them.

Abilities: Can fuse and enhance gems - using his ability on two shiny rocks worth $1000 each would get you one slightly bigger shiny rock worth $2100. He can levitate about two inches off the ground. He has the ability to generate stone golems when enough material is nearby. These golems last for five minutes before falling apart, and are easily used as shields. Can grant other stone structures his fusion ability for one set of gems. Has a moderate level of strength; he is made of rock, after all.

Really sorry for making you redo it a bunch of times 'cause your sign-ups are written well and you're going in the right direction, but I think you oughta try a third character. This guy's just a touch too amoral. You don't gotta play a goody goody, but you know what I mean.

hey hey it's ya local sign ups cryptid (as opposed to ram, who's our local sign ups dork).

the thing i think it'll help to point out is that your quality is good, it's the character personalities that we're worried about.

there's not an issue with the characters per se: i'm looking forward to meeting them at some point! the issue is that morally dubious or straight up evil characters tend not to make good first characters.

if it makes sense, we want to make sure that new players get a good chance to meet the crowd, so to speak, and get to know the feel for the game. a good character has a better chance to get integrated into things than an evil character, and it can be harder to find that sweet spot of interaction when the first character is evil/amoral/generally unpleasant. NOW, that's not to say we don't like seeing those characters! hell, i've got a few grumps and the maid in my icon is Not A Good Person! we push for good characters first so that you can good and integrated into the game.

please do keep these guys on the backburner, but if you wanted my two cents: rewrite your golem to be less keptomaniacal and a bit friendlier, he seems like he might have something for him if you were open to the idea of changing him around a bit. (spoilered since you didn't ask for my opinion, i'm just offering it)

i hope that all makes sense but if you needed any more details or clarification, just ask! i'm a little busy today but around my computer, so i'll be able to get to you sooner or later.
