. The current’s cartoony nature blunts any NSFW-ness there might be (which I don’t see to start with) and the suggestions only show the “girl on girl” with no “is hot”, which the current clearly shows.

I agree with Willbyr. The suggestions only illustrate part of the trope, and the current is not, strictly speaking, NSFW. It's more "embarrassing at work," really.

Just two girls kissing isnt enough, the image has to show that someone likes it. Current, so far.

Looking at the current, it's not risque enough to warrant a pull for NSFW. None of the suggestions get the full trope across.

None of the suggestions show the "is hot" part, while the current does (while still keeping it SFW, by using the punny nature of the word).
Also, if you argue the current is NSFW (which I don't agree with), then the suggestions would be "even more" NSFW, as they show live-action people as opposed to cartoon characters, and they are actively kissing while in current their mouths don't even touch.

The current is just explicit and inappropriate even by TV Tropes standards—even the Panty Shot of the girl in blue lingerie doesn't help. How about we replace it with one of these images from The L Word...
