The trope, from what I can tell, involves a failure of a supernatural disguise, which I don't think either the original or alternate suggestion qualifies for.
Suggestion looks like she's peeling off some sort of mask; OP is a bit better but I thought she was some kind of cyborg at first.

Both of them are about missing artificial skin. It's not quite what the trope is about.
