Does Not Illustrate: Coming In Hot

The picture is just of one aircraft on fire. Nothing about the landing, which the trope is about, and no aircraft carrier, which the trope is often about.

I'm sure finding more on-topic pictures should be doable, like this one◊.

Current is terrible. OP shows a failed aircraft landing on a carrier. Carrier landings are by default "coming in hot", but it's not the environment this trope usually plays out in. Unless the aircraft had a defect that would prevent a standard carrier landing which is not visible.

Just a thought, a good many of the examples on this page involve non-aircraft-carrier crash landings. If this trope is really only about aircraft carriers, then, yes, the current image is a poor illustration, but we'd also have to remove about half of the examples. Perhaps we should expand this into a full TRS discussion?
