It's okay to me. I'm not sure if keeping the main conflict (the cruise captain being a relative of Van Helsing and going havok on the monsters) out of this trailer is a good idea. People may just think this is going to be a film with relatively low stakes.
I do notice that Genndy is one of the co-writers of this film when he wasn’t for the first two.
I haven’t seen the first one all the way all the way through and nothing of the second one. How much of a Happy Madison feeling did they have?
The second one admittedly had more of a Happy Madison vibe.
I figured. Adam Sandler co-wrote it.
This might become the new Ice Age franchise.
You mean "Unwatchable crap that vomits out sequels"?
Your momma's so dumb she thinks oral sex means talking dirty.
Good description.
I can watch both. And it looks like this third movie will be the same. I love the animation and designs here.
To me, it looks like it'll be exactly the same as the first 2. That's not really a bad thing for me though, as I loved the first 2.
" I'm the princess! Everyone has to do what I say!"The short puppy had more of a 'feel' to watching something from Genndy(it helps that he wrote that). I didn't like the second one as much as I liked the first, maybe the third time will be the charm for being good? I just hope that Sony allows Genndy to work on something original when this is finished.
The third one is the first time Genndy has writing credit, so I have high hopes for it.
The second one had the strongest Happy Madison vibe.
Puppy! was unfunny, uninteresting and all around... garbage
Kinda disappointing if Genndy actually wrote that short
New trailer:
I enjoy the more "2D" flair the film looks like it's going for.
Genndy: "I will MAKE an animated film taking place on a ship IF IT KILLS ME!!!"

Apparently, the film was written based off of a terrible cruise he went on with his family.
Probably without the Bermuda Triangle and descendant of Van Helsing.

Which is ironic considering SONY is obviously going to cash in on all the cruises people will take over the summer and therefore they're going to portray it as a fun, enjoyable experience, story conflicts notwithstanding.
I also heard he's going to try to include as many Popeye-movie ideas into the climax as possible.
...I thought I read that that was the plan for HT 2's climax.
From the thumbnail the woman's long neck is freaking me out
New theme music also a boxI admit I thought it was just a little visual gag, but her neck seems to be that length in general.
...nothing in that first paragraph makes any sense.
Have you any dreams you'd like to sell?Much as I wish Genndy was working on something else, I'm still pretty interested in this. Genndy's visual humor is always on point.
The only thing I didn't like about the second movie was the way it totally undercut its entire plot at the very end, which admittedly is pretty bad, but still.
"The difference between reality and fiction is that fiction has to make sense." - Tom Clancy, paraphrasing Mark Twain.I've already spotted a continuity error in the trailer. First movie, Drac says that he can't eat garlic because his throat swells when he does. Here, he only farts. Disappointed
It's a trailer. Shots are edited differently than in the actual movie. Some shots are even reanimated.
So...anybody got plans for next summer?
Because the Drac Pack does.
For the uninitiated, have a (relatively modified) synopsis:
