How can I make the succubus more horrific?

A succubus is a large, eldritch horror that steals the souls of its victims, whose faces adorn the creatures body. It passes through from hell to the mortal plane through cracks that exist between the realms. They regularly prey on humans for their soul energy, and have a number of advantages, including increased strength, speed, stamina, and resistance to harm. Their most powerful ability allows them to cast an allure over its vicinity, which forces the intended victim to see the succubus as the ultimate object of sexual desire rather than the ugly creature it actually is.

Once alone, the succubus uses their allure to its highest effect, which dominates the victim and induces a paralyzing effect. With the person incapacitated but left completely aware, the creature is free to assault the human at its own leisure. The succubus slowly feeds off its prey as it painfully drains the human's soul dry over the course of many hours, leaving behind a desiccated husk with horrifyingly contorted features.

After death, the soul is absorbed into the furnace that is the creatures stomach. There it will be slowly consumed by the fires of hell and continously supply the creature with energy. The soul's contorted face will be added to its physical body, where it will be displayed for an eternity until the succubus is killed.

So, sort of like the Absorbalof from Doctor Who?

I kid, but that already sounds fairly horrific! You say Eldritch horror - how big is the creature? Does it shapeshift or just cast a glamour?

Not sure exactly how big, maybe around 8 or 9 feet. I'm caught between using glamour effect or shapeshifting. Which works better?

[up] Well, if it's glamour then it also has to hide the fact that the svelte / hunky image has managed to crack the ceiling or knock over a table lamp near the door.

Shapeshifting (With limits, say) could work? Supernatural had a Siren in one of its episodes which was an interesting example - it seemed to be able to glamour in a wide range, but was human sized anyway.

Perhaps stealing souls involves eating people? (Not necessarily EVERYTHING—maybe they just need your heart, brain, or certain lower-body parts that the succubus is heavily involved with?)
