Magic is a form of sorcery called weaving , and involves using the unlimited mana of the world around you (Gaia) and bending it to your will. Ritualized magic is essentially passive and formulaic, with the individual "borrowing" the world's mana, feeling it flow through them and guiding it along to perform a spell through a ritual circle. These steps are meant to control the flow of magic into the real world, and coax the energy into a specific form, similiar to cooking.

Circles are made by simply concentrating on the type that you want to create, which causes it to form in reality. lt is a slow and patient process, with the magic being derived largely from steps and certain rituals of preparation. Short weaving spells are relatively easy to perform, simply requiring a ritual circle, along with some chanting which are easy to memorize. Longer rituals are more complex, requiring hours of chanting or movement, and various ingredients. Weaving is an important part of education, as it is a fundamental part of human civilization.

This form of magic extends to reproduction. Creating new life is also viewed as a form of magic, and takes the form of a very long ritual. After conception, a woman must weave a child into existence over the course of months. If the embryo isnt "fed" periodically by this weaving, it slowly begins to die in the womb. Pregnancy is an active process, and rate of gestation is controlled by the mother. Those more experienced in the craft can shorten the timeframe and speed up the process. Pregnancy is relatively easy on the body, and delivery is "activated" at will when ready. A child isn't considered an actual life until it is born into the world.

Wild magic is much more aggressive than its ritualized form. It involves dominating the world's unlimited mana and subjugating it to suit your needs in order to power a spell. It does not require ingredients or special preparation, only simple desire. Because of this, it is far quicker and more powerful. This is a taboo form of magic because it is seen as taking what isn't yours from the world for a selfish purpose. Nevertheless, mortals are tempted to use it because it is much easier to use and provides a quick avenue to power.

When you impose your will on the magic of the world, you are upsetting the natural order of things. Liken this abuse of power as "tearing" magic from the world and "forcing" it through yourself. Such magic is not clean or wholesome but tainted, and its use leaves damage within the person (physically or spiritually).

Be careful of any "unlimited" anythings. You can kill drama by simply having unlimited resources. That leaves you with the only meaningful story theme The Magic Goes Away

were the hell magic come from? those someone in the setting know it? if not, what people think they come?

can everyone use magic? or just some people? what mage a magic user from...let said, muggles? pratice? inborn talent?.

If there is diferent types of magic? you mention ritual and wild, any other?

Exactly what kind of era is this? The further you are from the beginning of time, the harder to write and world build, as magic will continually influence society until it is very distant from ours. Inventions like the cannon or the phone will be made differently. Cannons could be powered primarily by ritualized magic, and phones possibly unneeded.
