...I’m not sure this thread is a good idea, even if Deviant Art is full of stuff that qualifies.
A lot of the bad art on DA is either drawn by kids or people who are still learning. Critique is fine in general, but mocking them for having fun drawing what they like is a good way to embarrass them or even steer them towards giving up altogether.
Just because it’s on another website doesn’t necessarily mean they can’t find it. Even if they don’t, it still seems mean-spirited to have a whole thread for pointing and laughing.
I’d suggest being more specific about the “so bad it’s good” criteria. Sonic OCs drawn by middle school kids don’t necessarily qualify just by being what they are. Maybe stick to things where the art itself is OK, but the subject matter is really weird? Or people who claim to be professionals on their profile, but still suck? Stuff like that.
That’s just my two cents, though. If enough other people like the idea of a thread like this, then it’s not my decision to make.
