Another of a rash of motorcycle-themed anime this fall, it premiered this afternoon

Eh, might pick up later, but that was not a particularly good start. Crammed way too much into one episode, and the non-linear storytelling didn't help

Also, the coach and his plot thread is being handled kind of bizarrely

It's official. I'm shipping all the teams but the twins (provisionally at least).

Also, what happens when a tsundere loves a tsundere? Pain, that's what.

Edit now that I'm not quite so rushed.

Basically I enjoyed it. Some of the couples teams look interesting. Kind of wished they had used something a little less subtle to keep the twins visually separate or committed whole hole hog and used identical character designs. Keeping those charm marks in their eyes in different positions is kind of at the point of being obvious enough to be noticeable but not so obvious you can use it to tell them apart at a glance. And while that may be the Truth in Television for real life twins, if I wanted real life, I'd go watch something live-action.

Also the coach is an obvious audience stand in. Honestly if you're not going to bother making an actual character, ditch the stand in and just live us to our lily-tinted Shipping

Beyond that, it was a fun first episode. Given how closely some of the passenger's get to the ground in some corners, the sport lends itself well to some dramatic visuals. Plus driver and passenger needing to work so closely together means that it has the potential for decent character drama. Will keep watching.

Hmm. First episode goes back to before the race actually started but after the flashbacks from episode 1. Seems all is not well with some of the teams. The Ojou-sama team (one of whom is very much not an actual ojou-sama) is having relationship troubles. Genuine relationship issues rather than just a tsun-tsun feedback loop like the main couple.

Also some of the teams are rooming apart, specifically the Ojou-samas, the twins and the S&M couple. While I do hope that we're going to get some more actual races if looks like there should be some interesting character stuff coming up as well.

is anyone actually following this?.

It seems to actually be a shoujo relationship drama disguised as a racing show. Not that that's a bad thing

Welp, it finally wrapped up. I managed to keep watching to the end.

Truthfully it was... underwhelming to the end. The two teams I most wanted to get a focus episode (Kyoto-Goth-Loli and Takarazuka) didn't. In fact Hitomi and Mao were reduced to nothing more than a one note joke. And the writing was ultimately rather off. It was full of Broken Aesops, forgetting it's own attempts at character development and just generally poor decisions.
