Mushrooms grow on dead things
Hot damn, that was probably the best episode of a series filled with great episodes. A fitting ending
.....
I.....
That was one hell of a final episode.
In no particular order, was that Kanazawa's wife that was with him? The end of the world had to have happened within at least a few years for that scene of them leaving to work out since they don't appear noticably older or younger, so either the war was going on for a long time or things went to shit really quickly. Are we supposed to take the mushroom's words to mean that Ishii and Kanazawa are dead? Are the mushrooms supposed to be just weapon disposal systems or are they some sort of final weapon some side released?
This episode was a trip.
It's kinda nice to see how much Chi cares about Yuu though. Even if she's not good at expressing it. That was adorable.
Uh huh. Sure. Some sort of biological weapon disposal project that got out of hand makes more sense, but I'm going with aliens. Aliens did everything and are just about done with the planet. But either way, a strong end to a very strong show. The way everything got emotional and philosophical with just two primary characters week after week made this one of the most surprising hits I've seen in awhile. Probably my favorite anime of the year.
I choose to believe that Ishii at least kind of bypassed them by parachuting to the lower levels. Kanazawa... could go either way truthfully. Alternatively they've managed to find a relatively direct route to the uppermost layer.
That was one hell of a finale. I'm not really sure how I feel about the twist, but the character focus was, as always, excellent and well worth the watch.
It's been fun. Here's a very illuminating and highly insightful discussion about what makes Girls' Last Tour so enjoyable to watch.
The only resource you need for tropesWell, the manga publishes its last chapter on Friday, so this series will actually wrap up.
Just finished episode 8. I'd categorize this show as a tragedy simply because Chito and Yuuri have never had cheese before.
