Tsuredzure Children

…We might as well make a thread about themulti-romcom yonkoma Tsurezure Children, since there's a lot of discussion in the Summer anime thread.

Even though the anime already ended?!

I say let's give it a week to let the anime-only people catch up then let's start discussing the manga. Or maybe wait for a new chapter.

Imagine all the rom com anime you've ever watched, carefully pick out the best bits, and put them all together into half a regular episode. That's Tsurezure Children. Watch it! Then come and laugh, holler and squee with us!

Oh man, do I love Minagawa and her teasing. And for once she's the one melting into a puddle of bashful goo, d'awwww! THEN SHE GOES FOR A SECOND. Be still, my heart.

Furuya actually taking initiative. Getting closer to me liking them as a couple and not just Minugawa.

I find it funny that Broken Base for the anime mentions Takase and Kanda getting a "segment almost every episode" when that's not the case. If anything, I think they got shafted in favor of Kamine and Gouda/Takano and Sugawara (incidentally couples that are closer to the bottom for me).

Takase and Kanda got segments in episode 1, 5, sorta 7 (this was one really Takase and Katori), 9, and 11.

Kamine and Gouda got segments episode 2, 5, 7, 8, 9, 10, and sorta 11 (Kamine got to be in a Takano segment)

For reference even though I think it's obvious Sugawara and Takano got a lot, they got segments in episode 2, 3, 4, 7, 9, 11, 12.

I think what makes it worse is that the gap between Takase and Kanda's first and second segments is very noticeable being 4 episodes while Kamine/Gouda and Sugawara/Takano got consecutive episodes dedicated to them.

Although, the real shafted couples that got screen time in the anime were both Astronomy Club couples. They got segments in episodes 1, 2, and 5 and that was it for them. A shame when I really like Sasahara too.

Thing too with Takase and Kanda is that, in the manga, Takase also gets quite a few chapters with Alice, but since she's not included in the anime adaptation it kind of guts a good chunk of their content.

The latest chapter with Shibasaki and Kaji is so good. I'm glad the later chapters can dedicate some time to just friendships.

Aww, poor Motoyama.

The manga is planned to end around 20 chapters from now.

I was hoping he would do more than one school year, but a good chunk of the characters are third years.
