Opening.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanThank you. I moved the examples I could, but a lot of them aren't clear on which type they are (they just say something like "Alice is trapped in one of these"). so if someone is familiar with the other examples, especially in live action TV, it would help if someone could put them in the right place
i am still working on changing examples from White Void Room to Blank White Void on work pages

I support the split.
Link to TRS threads in project mode here.NoBackground needs hats.
Link to TRS threads in project mode here.Well I added a hat and posted an example.
I see that the troper who started this thread was banned for being a sock. Setting a clock.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard FeynmanApparently, the split was not done properly as e.g. the white room in The Matrix would be an example of the new trope Blank White Void. I believe somebody will have to check those 350 links and the example list and sort them out.

Clock's up; locking for lack of activity/consensus. No action is to be taken on the basis of this thread.
"For a successful technology, reality must take precedence over public relations, for Nature cannot be fooled." - Richard Feynman
White Void Room is currently being used to cover three concepts-
The description matches the second use. This is because we don't have a trope for true Blank White Voids or solid white backgrounds. We have Void Between the Worlds but thats actually a different concept, and doesnt cover all of the Blank White Void examples.
I am attempting to fix this by moving the examples of the first type to a new trope: Blank White Void
As for type 3, The current description includes the line "Often a sign of the Lazy Artist in Sequential Art when the background is missing." which seems to be describing type 3. I think that line should be removed and "No Background" should be a seperate trope. see YKTTW here https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/discussion.php?id=xn2okhz1834pd0pie8v7ca4j
