This image is a bit misleading, since it's an example of Strike Me Down with All of Your Hatred! and not Please Kill Me if It Satisfies You. According to the descriptions, the latter is for when someone offers up their own life (whether it's actually ended or not) to atone for some past misdeed; the former is for a villain who tries to turn someone else into a killer as a way to corrupt them. I haven't read Monster, but do know enough about the title villain to guess (correctly, judging by the example writeups) that he's trying to corrupt someone in this scene.

It's not at all clear that it's an example of either...pull regardless of replacement.

I've read Monster (and, by the way, highly recommend it, it's a definitive Seinen), and Johan Liebert is a rather complicated and ambiguous example of both tropes. In the scene the image is taken from, he's talking to his twin sister, about the only person in the whole world who he if not cares about, then at least doesn't have an ill will (for a certain value of "ill will") towards, and corrupting her is not in the top of his list of priorities.

That said, the image lacks the context for it to be illustrative. Pull.

P.S. I'll try to look up the scene in question, maybe it can add something to that.

I don't think an ambiguous image and example is a good idea when two tropes are so close in meaning, so I vote pull for being misleading.

Pull for illegal size (361, max is 350).

Currently mostly inactive. An incremental game I tested: https://galaxy.click/play/176 (Gods of Incremental)
