Bethany's Day in City Hall
Blown back, and a little bit shaken because women like her weren't built for standing next to explosions, don'tcha know, Bethany had to recover for just a moment. Moments can happen very quickly in a textual format, luckily for all, so a few more characters and Bethany was up and ready to go check and see if that worked!

Poking her head around the corner...it didn't really work. Purple clown was still alive.

Without any particular fanfare, she tried to bind him to the ground with her vine, and hold him in place. "...Mayor? What do you want to do with him?"

Space Bug

So it seemed the house was abandoned. The Clown/s must have stormed in, found nothing to shoot at and retreated into another house. The Rippers returned with a report, and the Swarmlord knew what to do next.

The basement doors were likely good to be omitted; the house looked functional, so that was probably where the residents holed up in to wait out the Clowns. As far as the Tyranid knew, they had short attention spans; if there was nothing to shoot or smash within eyesight, the place was boring. And yet, the Clown peeking from the house opposite theirs appeared to be cautious. Baffling.

"Nrr."    It gestured to Superman, then pointed out at the house in question through the window.

Space Girl

"Oh no, only Shalltear here is a super." Monica gestured towards the vampire. "Me and Crenshaw are just helping."

"As for the Clown helpers, it beats me." She shrugged indifferently. "The only thing that matters to me is if they're bulletproof."

She followed right after Shalltear and the soldiers, hoping the old hunter Hunter was still on this with them. Then somebody began shooting at them. Not a Clown, however. This one wasn't a Clown. Thus, it was a collaborant.

Thus, their traitorous life was forfeit. Monica peered from behind her cover and fired twice at the gnome rifleman in the window.

Coco Adel - City Hall

"The same thing we do to every other clown, Bethany," Coco said to Bethany, pistol appearing in her hand. "We put them down. Give him a squeeze, and watch your step, will you? These stairs will just be murder on your hair if they collapse."

With that, she started firing a few rounds at the Clown's body. It may have been a double amputee right now and lacking a weapon, but she still knew better than to try approaching a seemingly subdued clown.

Garrus: Near Army Base

Immediately Garrus pushed the barrel away from his direction, not roughly or with great force but instead with a gentle shove. "So you learnt everything about guns from action movies and murderous mad men. I feel so safe with you by my side" said Garrus to Tira, adding a extra special amount of snark to the last part. Well, better than nothing. "Just.....try not to shoot yourself. Or me for that matter. Come on" reluctantly commented Garrus as he advanced forward the house that Tira's bird scouted out.

City Hall, Eleventh Floor

Despite the distance from the eleventh floor entrance and the platform the Waluigi-Clown was crawling upon, Yuuka's vines were able to stretch across the length of the stairwell chamber to bind the Clown in place. Due to the Clown's weakened state, it could not do much to resist.

Now that the Clown was pinned down, it would make an easy target for Coco's bullets.

“Wegggghhh…”

What remained of the Clown’s form seemed to stop moving. The gun in its hand slipped out of its grasp, slided down the stairs, and then fell down to the set immediately below.

The Clown’s tongue stuck out, and its glassy eyes moved no more. For all intents and purposes, it seemed to be dead.

Railroad Tracks Near Army Base, Tira and Garrus

Garrus would be able to advance to the house in question with very little difficulty. As he made his way forward, he would hear light, but quick footsteps coming from somewhere past the house. For a few seconds, should either Tira or Garrus look around the house Garrus had advanced to, they would see the shovel-carrying gnome begin to circle around a house further east.

Bethany's Day in City Hall
Wincing at the gunshot, she held the clown in place as a couple extra pieces of metal went whizzing into its back. She looked to be a little bit put off by it, but now it wouldn't be hurting people at least, now that it seemed...

Wait.

"...Put a couple more in it," Bethany said to Coco.

Coco Adel - City Hall

Coco crooked a smile at Bethany as the gardener made her request. "I like the way you think." Obliging the girl, she fired several more rounds into the hopefully-dead clown to try and turn that 'hopefully' into a 'definitely'. You could never take a risk with those.

"You ever do this sort of thing before?" she asked.

Playing Chicken With a Clown

Johnny Bravo felt really bad. He had let the perfectly nice dame get in trouble due to slacking off. That was never a good feeling, letting down the ladies. What kind of man would do something like that? Snorting and huffing and working himself into a frenzy from the thought of losing such a cute girl to the clown threat, Johnny felt a burst of adrenaline shoot through him as it dulled the pain and gave him the energy to try to help the stuntwoman.

Tearing off his wet shirt to display a musculature that the Greeks idealized through their marble sculptures, the bounty hunter twisted the wet fibers into a hardened cord before snapping it at the clown's ass via the classic rat tail whipping. He knew that clowns were an easily distracted lot, and thus let performed aggro through such experiences. "You and me, honkie. Mano a honk-o."

Near City Hall, Ground Level

The knife would be able to cut to the Toad-Clown’s lower lip before it was able to execute its next set of maneuvers, though this did not to much to hinder its ability to yell incoherently.

The Clown made one punch with the knife in hand, but as it got ready to execute another, it felt something sharp and wet hit its behind.

“YEEEEEOOOOOOW!!!”

The Toad-Clown instinctively tried to spin around from were it was and swipe the vibro-knife in Johnny Bravo’s general direction.

“Hey man, what’s the big idea? That’s not cool, bro!”

The Toad-Clown would let go of Nepbike if able and then would charge at Johnny Bravo. Once close enough, the Toad-Clown would repeatedly attempt to thrust its newly acquired vibrating knife into Johnny Bravo (assuming it hadn’t broken by this point), aiming mostly towards his torso.

The Clown-truck could be seen further along the street to the north of Johnny, Jaroline, and Nepbike’s position, moving east to west. By this point, not many cars were chasing after it, though its shield was flickering as though it could fail at any second. Explosions could also be heard from that direction as it continued to volley explosives at the various buildings around it.

City Hall, Eleventh Floor

The Waluigi-Clown seemed to make no further sound as it was shot by bullets. Each bullet seemed to tear away at the Clown further and further.

Clowning Around in the Streets

"Nuh-uh, I'm the coolest." Jutting a thumb towards his own chest while grunting at the fact his shirt was now stained by touching a clown's behind, Johnny then decided to go for broke by tossing the wet piece of fabric directly into the direction of the honkie's face to hopefully obscure its vision. A brief moment after performing such action, the muscular man would crouch down like a particularly sturdy American football player and then forcefully attempt to tackle the thing as far into the street that had the rapidly approaching clown vehicle as he could to aim for friendly fire roadkill.

Southwest Residential, Shalltear and Monica

The moment Monica fired the first shot, the collaborator seemed to fall back. However, the creature did not seem to receive its injury like Clowns or humans. Instead, the white-bearded man’s head seemed to shatter into multi-colored (but mostly whitish) fragments like a vase or some other kind of pottery.

After that shot, the gnome did not seem to recover.

Shortly after Monica made her shots, the other gnome moved to the southwest corner of the house it was taking cover behind and shot at individual members of the group, specifically those who seemed to be easier to shoot at (exposed or out of cover).

Southwest Residential, Clark and Swarmlord

As Clark Kent and the Swarmlord prepared for their next course of action, the Clown and gun receded out of sight from the window facing the house they were in. The two of them would then hear gunfire aimed somewhere towards the north from a window presumably on the north side of the house the Clown was in (and presumably from the same Clown). An explosion could also be heard somewhere in that general direction, though it was somewhat difficult to see (outside of some drifting smoke) from the window’s limited field of view.

Jaroline/Nepbike-Outside City Hall

Bearings

"Gah!"

Jaroline took the punch, likely a stab wound from her knife as well, and the blow to her pride, still sticking on due to Nepbike. Johnny then distracted the clown with a rat tail and the clown dropped her and the bike.

''That actually-"

She then impacted the ground, disorientating her a bit.

"Alright... How are you doing, Nep..."

"Everything's spinning, but otherwise business as usual."

"Great to hear..."

Jaroline worked on getting Nepbike back up

"So, what now... Jaroline, your hurt."

"Huh, no I'm not." Jaroline said, clearly in pain.

"..." Nepbike sighed.

Garrus: Near Army Base

Having located the origin of the footsteps, Garrus peeked around the house side and he could just briefly see the departing figure. A shovel huh? Could be digging themselves a route into town or maybe placing traps around. Either way, time to shut this operation down. "Advance forward then jump him and hold him up but don't shoot until I do. He needs to be alive so we can question him about what he's doing. Try to stay behind me as well. Acts and looks unlike a Clown but he could still blow up on us and my armor is more suited to take that hit" whispered Garrus to Tira. Done with that he started to continue onward to the gnome.

Near City Hall, Ground Level

The Clown truck was a bit too far away for Johnny Bravo to tackle the Toad-Clown within the arc of it’s guns. It wasn’t even clear whether the Clowns and collaborators inside the truck even noticed Johnny, the Toad-Clown, Jaroline, and Nepbike, especially since there didn’t appear to be any driver in the driver’s seat. The truck simply continued down the street it was going.

“EEEEGGGHHH!!!” the Toad-Clown screamed when the rag landed in its face, though with its left hand, it quickly pulled the rag off.

The Toad-Clown did not have enough time to react as Johnny Bravo tackled into it.

“OWOWOWOWOWOWOWOW!!!” the Toad-Clown screamed as it tumbled down the street/its body ground against the pavement.

More of the powdery substance that may or may not have been sugar spilled and puffed from the Clown’s wound.

“My magic meme dust! It’s getting all over the place!”

Despite its brief display of panic, the Toad-Clown still had quite a bit of steam left in it, so it quickly uprighted itself/attempted to release itself from Johnny’s tackle. If Johnny was sufficiently close, during this maneuver, the Toad-Clown would repeatedly attempt to stab into his bulk, while not paying that much attention to whatever was going on behind it.

“How about a taste of your own medicine?”

With the rag in hand, the Toad-Clown would then attempt to slap it into Johnny Bravo’s face.

As the fight progressed, the Clown truck could be heard making its way south down one of the streets to the west. Perhaps whoever was driving the truck did notice the commotion after all.

Bethany's Day at City Hall
"Not...regularly. I'd rather not talk about it," Bethany said, looking a little bit down for someone who had just aided and abetted in murder. She took ahold of the stem of the plant and it started to grow back to its normal size, healing the damage it took in the blast and unwrapping itself from the corpse.

"Let's just say...getting to this city wasn't the easiest. Now, we...wait, where did that one lady go?"

Yes, that one lady was missing! Oh crap! Bethany worriedly looked around the pile of rubble and strange, byzantine construction of the stairs around them, but she was no where to be found!

City Hall Building, Stairwell, Eleventh Floor

Shortly after Bethany began to wonder about the unnamed lady’s presence, a door opened from one of the floors below. Quick footsteps could be heard until the lady from before climbed up to stairs where some of the rubble had collapsed down towards, under the platform/ledge Coco and Bethany were standing on.

After looking around for a bit, she eventually turned to the two present and said, “They’re gone, right? There don't happen to be any others that we know of?”

Not taking much heed of the possible danger, the woman began to stride her way over the rubble and made her way around the bend/turnaround just below Coco and Bethany/Yuuka.

Tira (Near Army Base)-A bit more literal then he probably expected

Tira smiled at the plan. In the back of her head, she wondered how she was supposed to stay behind him while jumping on the thing, but she just decided to do what was more fun for her.

Oh, I'm really good at jumping on people! Tira whispered. Ok, I'll do that now!

Before he had any chance to correct her, Tira snuck off, quickly putting the gun over her back and using the strap to hold it on there. She then quickly took a leap and jumped onto the roof of a nearby house. From this position, she started running silently on the roof, a trick she learned during her days as an assassin, and then leaped off of the roof, aiming to literally jump on top of the oddly unclown like thing. After attempting that, assuming it had not taken any major actions that would prevent it, she would then attempt to grab and lift the thing in the air. If she did this, she would look back at Garrus.

I got him!

Meanwhile, her Raven flew up to a high perch on a nearby power line and started playing lookout for his mistress and her oddly bird faced friend, watching for the other unclown like thing that was still unaccounted for, focusing on making sure it was not trying to flank her.

Across Railroad Tracks Near Army Base, Garrus and Tira

The gnome continued to run around the house, not seeming to notice the presence of the assassin or alien nearby. It seemed to stop when around the back of the house, and then make a sharp turn left, before Tira descended from above.

When the gnome looked up to see this, it seemed to jump back in surprise, yet made no sound other than this.

The gnome dropped the shovel where it was and then held its arms up as if to surrender, letting Tira lift it up.

Tira’s raven would not see any sign of the other gnome from its new perch, nor would it see anything else attempting to flank either Tira or Garrus. Still, judging by the time that had passed since the gnomes retreated, the other gnome could not have wandered far, and it didn’t look like any of the manholes within the area had been opened recently.

Shalltear

Shalltear took aim as well, but before she had properly aimed Monica had already popped off and killed the enemy. It died strangely, the way it disappeared was reminiscent of the world she was created in Yggdrasil. Monica seemed to be a good shot, Shalltear was still not great with guns and preferred to use her fists if she could get close enough. Shalltear, in the lead, took cover with a parked car in the street. "Start firing at it so I can get close to the enemy." Shalltear got ready to sprint waiting for one of the others to provide covering fire for her approach.

Coco Adel - City Hall Eleventh Floor

"Mhmmmm...." Coco nodded, her eyes hidden behind her sunglasses. Mechanically, she took the magazine out of her gun, stored it away, withdrew another magazine, inserted it into her gun, and then stored the handgun away too.

"Hold on, that doesn't look the most stable, I'll get you," she called out to the woman below. Approaching the edge overlooking the woman, she shoved her hand into the wall - hey, they were gonna replace it anyway, a simple hole in the drywall didn't add any structural damage, so might as well - and and grabbed the stud behind it. Repeating the action with her other hand, this time a couple feet lower, she climbed her way down to try and retrieve the woman and return.

City Hall Stairwell, Eleventh Floor

The currently unnamed woman seemed to watch as the mayor made her way down towards her. Her lips were slightly parted as if intrigued by the methods Coco used to navigate down to her. The positioning and folding of her arms and fingers also seemed to convey the same emotion.

The woman allowed herself to be carried up.

When put down (or when everyone was on the same platform if the former didn’t occur), the woman would begin to speak, making a slight curtsy before doing so (if she was standing).

“I deeply apologize for not introducing myself earlier. My name is Victoria Dunton. I was interested in the state of affairs in this city, but it seems fate had other things in store for us today. I’m sorry if I might have been a bit of a burden, but I figured accompanying you two was the safer alternative to wandering out in the open.”

Southwest Residential, Monica and Shalltear

A few of the soldiers nodded at Shalltear’s suggestion, and began laying suppressing fire on the gnome taking cover. The gnome seemed to retreat back to cover a bit.

As Shalltear dashed towards the house the gnome was taking cover behind, the squad to the northeast seemed to stop their fire.

If Shalltear decided to approach the southwestern corner of the house, riddled with bullets as it was, she would be able to see the gnome with its assault rifle by peeking around the corner.

Southwest Residential, near Swarmlord (and Clark)

Sometime after the explosion, a firefight seemed to erupt a bit further to the west of the duo’s position. Another explosion seemed to follow, though it seemed to quiet down after that. Gunfire from the house that the Clown had taken refuge in also seemed to quiet down.

Army Base

Although some time had passed, the crew was finally able to finish its repair work on the Abrams, and without and Clowns or Clown collaborators in the area to land unusually lucky shots, it would move out of the base and begin to make its way towards the tracks. Joseph (assuming he hadn’t fallen asleep for some reason) was most likely the only person who would be able to notice this, though once it began crossing the tracks, Garrus and Tira might also notice it.

Downtown Area

As the brawl in the streets progressed, the Clown Truck would make a turn left, or eastward. As it proceeded, it would hold fire on its exhaust cannons. If Nepbike or Jaroline were close enough to the street directly to their north, they might be able to see the truck approaching.

A single Apache would also begin hovering over the downtown area. Although it would eventually be able to navigate within sight of the truck, the presence of civilians (even if they had superpowers) hindered its ability to assist, on the off chance of friendly fire.

Garrus: Near Army Base

He only had time to tell her "Wait, no. I didn't mean it-!" before she had dashed off, taking his command as literally sneaking up on him and jumping on top of him. "Damnit" muttered Garrus sharply as he followed her sprint across the rooftops. How a human could jump so high was put into the back burner of his mind and the concern about her took front and center. If she got killed because of his command.....well, he had experience with that and he didn't want to repeat it.

The alien officer turned the corner, gun at the ready, and he was about to bark out a order to stand down but to his surprise it looked like the target hardly put up a fight. No explosion, no struggle. Either he was really caught off guard or this just further proved how unclownish this guy was. Garrus let the Phaeston come to rest on his chest, still quite ready to unload a clip into the lifted up gnome but more relaxed. This relief included his voice when he told Tira "I'm pretty sure you would make a good solider. Followed my command exactly like I told it. Maybe too exactly" and then he would look down at the shovel, pick it up, inspect it, and then gave the gnome a glare. He told his assassin partner "Put him down Tira. If he tries running, fire at will" and then put away his advanced gun. Which left the shovel. Who's holder was smacking part of the handle into his hand. "I have some questions to ask our friend here."

Bethany's Day in City Hall
"I'm not sure if you picked the right place," Beth said, looking around at all the slightly less than intact rubble they were standing in. Dang, this was going to be horrible to repair! Oh, how lucky she was a landscaper and not an architect...

She shook her head, dispelling all thoughts of alternate career paths. "I'm Beth Misaki, I run a gardening business...but, well, obviously that's not what we're doing right now, is it? Should we just try to hide until the alarm goes down, now that we cleared out the building?"

“The other two vessels landed in the building right across from us, so it might not be long before we have to deal with even more of those imbeciles. Still, it’s quite likely that some… other individuals of supernatural persuasion may have taken care of them already.”

Miss Dunton then turned back toward Coco and said, “What do you think we should do in this situation, Mayor?”

Despite the battle that just ensued, Victoria seemed fairly composed.
