Opened since this is springing from another thread. My only objection is that it's rather texty.

It's very texty, but it's an image that's better than no image.
Check out my fanfiction!I find some of the panels nigh-unreadable. 1&2 in particular
+1 for the OP suggestion.
You've got roaming bands of armed, aggressive, tyrannical plumbers coming to your door, saying "Use our service, or else!"Eh, I used a small version of the strip so I could align the panels in a way that gives the top row the same width as the bottom row while still fitting within 350 pixels. Here's the strip in case anyone else has panel arrangements in mind, but here's one more that came to my mind:
EDIT: Alternatively, assuming it doesn't constitute a misleading edit, I could resize the prior panel to be the same width as the latter panel:
EDIT again: Fixed typo.

7.2 works.
The only kind of misleading we're concerned about is if it's misleading from the trope (i.e. makes people believe the trope is something else). Exact, or even accurate, representation of the source is completely optional.
Check out my fanfiction!7.2
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?Good enough. 7.2's up and tagged; caption?

...I don't get it.
The page quote probably needs to be changed since it's also from Calvin and Hobbes.
If a tree falls in the forest and nobody remembers it, who else will you have ice cream with?Reference to the label pet owners who compare pets to children give themselves.
As for replacing the page quotation, it absolutely should be replaced, as it's a separate example from the one in the page image. However, before we look outside the Calvin And Hobbes series, I was wondering one thing; would using as a page quote the dialogue for the rest of the same Calvin And Hobbes strip, to complement the image, be a worthwhile idea or no?

No consensus on a caption; locking up.
Re-used from the "Like an Old Married Couple" thread...
