ITT: We're a Team of Adventurers

For this role-play thread you can play as just about anybody as long as their max power doesn't exceed Bowser's. So anybody from any franchise is fair game as long as they meet that requirement. And yes, you can play as your Author Avatar or an OC of yours. You can play as a villainous character right from the start, provided that you give them a good reason to work with the others.

Once you choose a character, they'll comically fall out of a portal in the sky into this new universe.

Detective Gamechanger: Ugh my aching back...where the heck am I?

Suddenly landing on top of Mr. Gamechanger is...

A very small witch.◊

"What a horrid spell... at least I landed on this human-shaped pillow!"

The detective shakes violently as he attempts to shake her off

Detective Gamechanger: I'm no pillow! Get off me!

"It talks!" She shouts, jumping off.

She looks the man on the floor over before thinking. "Hmmm... must have thought you were a pillow because I landed on you... Regardless!" She puts her arm in the air in supposed triumph.

"Introductions are pointless, as I'm world renown, but my name is ANABELLE COLLINGWOOD! Master Witch!"

The detective removes himself from the bramblebush he's in before standing up and brushing himself off

Detective Gamechanger (thinking to himself): Wow, seems like humility isn't this girl's thing.

He responds back to the girl

Detective Gamechanger: Nice to meet you Anabelle. I'm rather famous myself as well where I come from. The name's Detective Gamechanger.

An old man in the back scoffs.Game Changer? We named the dog Game Changer!

"Gamechanger... I see! Pleasure meeting you!"

Quickly, she darts her head to the old dude.

[[pink:"AND WHO ARE YOU?!"

The old man arose, and offered a hand to the witch. Professor Sturgeon La Brea, historian. At your service, little lady.

A man in black and yellow armor◊ falls out of the sky, landing with a metallic thud. He gets to his feet.

"Greetings, new friends." He bows gracefully, then stiffens.

"Stop using my voice, whoever you are!"

"Who... gah!"

He clutches his head, and seems struggle with himself.

"I am Alternis Dim."

"No, I am!"

"My name is Ringabel Lee!"

He draws his sword. "Come at me, curs!"

..."This is stupid."

Whoaoaoaoaa!

Moments later, a familiar furred face lands gently on the ground, his ears flapping wildly to slow him down. Klonoa looks around to notice similar events happening to others nearby.

Wow, this is the first time I've seen others have the same thing happen to them. Are you Dream Travelers too?

Professor La Brea looked on confusedly. Evening you... 3? Professor Sturgeon La Brea, historian.

"New people!" Anabelle jumps excitedly upon seeing them.

"Of all shapes and sizes..." Looking at Klonoa, well... you can't see her eyes, but it's not hard to imagine them squinting. "What are you, even?"

Detective Gamechanger (thinking to himself): Wow, even in another world, I'm still a Weirdness Magnet.

He turns to the new arrivals

Detective Gamechanger: Hi there, the name's Detective Gamechanger, pleased to make your acquaintance.

Me? Oh, I'm Klonoa, from Breezegale! I'm a Dream Traveler, so I can only imagine that we're in one of those dreams right now. I don't know why everyone else would have been transported here, though.

Klonoa thinks for a moment, tapping his wind ring to his chin, before his eyes light up.

Of course! I need someone to power the wind ring. Do you think you could do that... uh, what's your name?

She shoots a smug grin at Klonoa, clearly pleased he obviously thinks high enough of her to trust her with... whatever that thing is.

"Anabelle Collingwood! Master Witch, at your service. I don't know what a... wind ring is, though."

This thing, of course!

Klonoa tosses his ring into the air, and then catches it on the way down and spins it around on his finger.

Depending on the dream world it needs different power sources to work. Before this it needed a priestess, and before that it was powered by my friend... anyways you look like you've got enough power. I'm not sure whether you'll need to be in the ring for it to work though...

She pauses for a second, hearing what he said about... being in the ring.

"What was that last part?"

Klonoa looks down at the ground sheepishly, his hands clasped behind his back.

Oh, hehe, right. Usually whoever is powering the ring goes inside of it while I'm using it. Then again, who knows if the rules of this world are different, right?

Being in a ring certainly doesn't sound very fun...

"Hmm... risky... what would be in it for me?"

Well, when you're in the ring you can't be hurt, and you can leave whenever you want. But if you don't feel like it I guess that's okay, too.

Klonoa looks back up at Annabelle, and puts on the best smile he can. It seems almost... practiced?

She looks down at the... rabbit... thing.

"I have to decline... but I will consider it, once it's confirmed I will not be... ringified."

The detective turns and looks at his surroundings. The forest is too thick for him to get a good look at the sky, and he can't yet see anything that would make a good vantage point.

Detective Gamechanger: Well, we should probably start finding a way out of these woods soon. I don't know what lives in these woods, but I'd rather not find out by getting eaten.

A notepad and paperclip person falls from the sky

Oh, hello. My name's Clive. Clive Handforth. You've probably already got your Five-Man Band, so you won't be needing me, then. Will you?

Detective Gamechanger: I'm always willing to having a new member join whatever group I'm in, so welcome to the club!

Well, sure. Why don't we figure out where to go first, though? There's got to be someone who knows what's going on somewhere, right?

Klonoa scans the area around him trying to find someone who might be of use. Going to a new world was always a bit worrying for the first few hours for him.
